Eleven years ago, a Death Eater named Bellatrix gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. But due to her and Rodolphous's actions after the Dark Lord vanished by a baby boy named Harry Potter. The Lestrange's daughter was to be put in an Adoption place in London. While the baby was in the Adoption place, the parents went to Azkaban. The parents were allowed to say goodbye to the daughter on the steps of the place, with an Aurors watching them. It was a dark rainy night, the Lestranges huddled together by the side of the door of an adoption place. Bellatrix was cradling a baby girl in her arms, the baby was no more than a year old.
" Bellatrix, she is going to be fine," Rodolphus reassured her.
" Why couldn't she be raised in my sister's care instead of these filthy muggles! " Bellatrix snapped. She shushed to not wake the baby. The parents looked down at their daughter.
" Do you have the stuff? " Rodolphus asked.
" Of course !! I'm not stupid ! " she hissed. Bellatrix handed the child to her husband. She pulled out a letter and placed it in the tiny hands.
" Would you two hurry up! " An Auror snapped. Rodolphus gently placed the baby on the first damp step.
" One day we will be reunited, one day you will be like me and become a Death Eater, a powerful one too," Bellatrix whispered before kissing the child's forehead. Her husband rang the doorbell and with one last glimpse at their daughter they ran off. A few minutes later, a lady in her nightgown opened the door looking very annoyed. She became very irritated not seeing anybody in sight. She was about to close the door when she saw the baby and gasped.
" What are you doing out here all alone? " She askes. " Hello, little one picked let's get you inside ". She closed the door and walked to the baby room. The lady placed the baby in a crib, before going to her office with the letter. She sat down in a chair and opened it. A picture fell out along with a necklace. The necklace was a C shape. What the lady didn't know was as the child grew, so did the necklace. So it will still fit as she got older. The picture contained her parents and her ( Picture above of the parents ). The lady began to read the letter.
Dear Caretaker,
We are the parents of the baby girl. The baby's name is Cortney Lestrange, born on June 30th, 1980. It's been a year and it's too much. We do not want her anymore. We wanted a baby but after all the work and time was put into it just became too much. We grew tired of the baby. We began to neglect her, so we thought it was best to put her in adoption. Plus the mother is very sick and we couldn't afford the bills and childcare. We want to give her, her best chance ( Once Upon A Time moment !! Sorry ). Please take care of her. We wish her the best.

The lady looked up and frowned.
" Everything is going to be okay Cortney, I promise," The lady whispered.

It has been a few months, and Cortney was getting older by the minute. Only being able to say a few words. During those months the lady was keeping in touch with a couple from America that wanted to adopt her. Today was the day, the children were busy outside. The babies were also outside enjoying the sun. As they played, a couple walked into the building. They walked into the office.
" Hello," the lady said looking up and smiling at them.
" Hello I'm Nolan and this is my wife Brianna, we're here to adopt Cortney," the man said.
" Oh yes! The O'Donnell's! " The lady cheered. " I'm Ms. Williams, let me get the papers ". Ms. Williams pulled out adoption papers to be signed. She got up and went to a back room and gathered Cortney's few little things. " Would everyone please come inside, and bring Cortney to my office, and make your last goodbyes to her". Ms. Williams hates doing that part, she always ends up feeling bad for the children that weren't getting adopted. She never liked the looks on the hopeful faces. A few minutes later into the paperwork, an older girl came in with Cortney.
" Goodbye Cortney, we will miss you," the girl said. She looked about 10.
" Thank you, Rachel," Ms. Williams said smiling as she left. Before the girl left the baby was handed to Brianna.
" She's beautiful," She gasped smiling at her.
" Read this," Ms. Williams handed them the letter. Both of them read it.
" They didn't want her? " Nolan asked.
"Left on the doorstep on a rainy night," Ms. Williams said. Thirty minutes the couple with the new addition to the family at her things. Not too long after they were in America.
