A few weeks passed, they had a baby shower for her mom in those few weeks. Now it was time for Cortney's baby shower. Cortney wore a simple green maternity dress, she had a bit of a belly. She was decorating with her family. They heard a hissing sound, they turned to see the Dark Lord present.

" My lord," the family greeted bowing their heads before going back to what they were doing.

" What honor do we have you being here today? " Bellatrix asked.

" I came to bring a gift," the Dark Lord said as he placed it on the gift table. " I had a bit of fun at Bellatrix's baby shower for my daughter".

" Are you sure you want to stay? " Cortney asked. " There's going to be like five teenage girls joining tonight".

" Cortney ! " her dad hissed.

" What? " Cortney asked. " I don't know how much he'll enjoy the sounds of screaming and giggling teenage girls".

" It's alright Rodolphus, your daughter is just being concerned for my well-being," the Dark Lord said. " Besides Cortney, I too was once a teenager too".

" He has a point,"  Aunt Nacrissa said. 

" Alright" Cortney. " Just don't scare them away and embarrass me in front of them".

" And why's that Cort? " Her dad asked.

" Father," Draco began. " Cortney was the popular mean girl".

" Define mean girl," Uncle Lucius ordered, at that point The Dark Lord has sat down and pet Nagini. He was finding this gossip interesting.

" Cortney and Pansy gave a girl a nickname of Broccoli. Cortney crushed up an Acid Pop and put it in a girl's cereal bowl. She ran out of the Great Hall crying that day. She threatened Umbridge with you can't kick me out of Hogwarts do you know who's daughter I am kind of speech," Draco ranted. " When she and Pansy work together it's a nightmare. Those two dressed up the girl broccoli in a Christmas explosion outfit and had her wear it for an hour at Hogsmeade. And our first year her and her friends. Gave my friends makeovers, and dressed them in girl uniforms, they took pictures! " 

" She took over you Bella," Aunt Nacrissa stated.

" Cortney a school mean girl," the Dark Lord stated. " Splendid". Hours later the house was decorated with Slytherin colors and pink. A lot of people were there already. The doorbell rang, Cortney walked over to it and opened it revealing her friends.  

" Cortney! " The girls cheered, engulfing her in a group hug.

" Girls! " Cortney cheered.

" Look at that belly," Pansy gushed.

" Are you sure it's a girl? " Millicent asked.

" That's what the doctor said," Cortney said.

" You must be Cortney's friends," The Dark Lord said as he made his way over to them.

" My lord," the girls greeted. 

" Any questions? " Voldemort asked.

" Cort, what is it like having the Dark Lord over a lot? " Daphne asked.

" Never-ending dad jokes, no matter how mean and powerful a man can be, there will always be dreadful dad jokes," Cortney told them. " It never ends between him, my dad, and my uncle". The girls all laughed.

" My jokes aren't that bad," Voldemort said offended.

" It was this morning before the party," Cortney sassed. " I was trying to make seaweed decorations for the party, cause our common house is under the lake. And I accidentally knocked a bunch over. From across the room, he goes I guess you can call that tumbleweed". All the girls laughed.

" I thought it was pretty funny," Voldemort said.

" It was," Bellatrix said from across the room.

" I'll talk to you ladies later," Voldemort said before making his way over to Cortney's mum.

" So those dad jokes," Kierra laughed.

" Day and night," Cortney sighed making the girls laugh. Soon it was gift time and Cortney has opened most of them besides the ones from the dark lord, her immediate family, and her friends. She received a lot of diapers, a crib, a rocking chair, changing table, rocking chair. Some clothes for the baby. Now she opened one from her aunt, uncle, and cousin.

" Awe," the crowd gushed. It was an outfit, it was a dress. The colors were maroon, it had broomstick on the front, and on the back, it had a number.

" Team Bulgaria," Cortney laughed. 

" Gotta start them early," Aunt Nacrissa pointed out, everyone laughed. Next, she opened it with her parents. It was a stroller and a little stuffed animal snake.

"  I want Slytherin to be in her mind from day one,"  her mum stated.

" Snakes are life," Cortney said. A long real snake tail came up and grabbed it. Nagini snuggled with the toy. "It's Nagini's now, I think she wants to join Slytherin". People laughed. Next was one from the Greengrass. It was a Slytherin onesie.

" We couldn't resist! " Astoria squeaked as people gushed over it Next it was from Kierra. It was a Slytherin bath towel and bathing suit. From Millicent, she got her a Slytherin blankie. Tracey gave her wrapped square object Cortney opened it to be saying. The saying was: You are the fire in my heart.

" Aweeeeeee," Cortney gushed. It had a heart with a fire inside it. From her friends, Pansy was the last one to give her something. She unwrapped it to find a rocking unicorn. Lastly, it was from the Dark Lord. She opened it to find it to be a dark grey onesie. On the front was his mark.

" Starting the rebellious age early," Cortney said. " I don't think she'll say much at the meetings". Everyone laughed.

" Lastly, we are giving you a house, it's a little apartment," her mum said.

" I don't have the money for it," Cortney stated.

" We got it covered darling," Uncle Lucius told her. After everyone left including the Dark Lord. The only people left were her friends and they were helping her get all of her stuff into the apartment. After a few hours, they have finally finished. All the girls sat at Cortney's dining room table.

" How's Seamus? " Cortney asked.

" Miserable," Pansy blurted out. She put a small box on the table.

" He really misses you, Cort," Daphne said.

"  I miss him," Cortney said sadly.

"It's from Seamus," Millicent said gesturing to the small box. Cortney opened it to find out it was a necklace. Similar to the one her mom gave to her when she was younger. This time it had the letter of D for Dana.

" It's beautiful," Cortney gasped. " How? "

" I lent him money for it, " Pansy told her. " We all did".

" Including your Aunt and Uncle," Astoria stated.

" How did they know he was the father? " Cortney asked.

" Draco told them on accident, they aren't mad. They gave you this apartment for protection. Just in case you let it slip in front of your parents," Pansy explained.  " They want to protect Seamus too, cause they now know how much he means to you". When Harry and You-Know-Who go into battle, a lot of people are going to be there".

" When it starts, you giving your baby to Bill and Fleur Weasley," Millicent told her. " They will keep her safe during the battle, and then you are to come and fight". There was a knock.

" We have to go, school still awaits us," Tracey said " Good luck". They exchanged goodbyes and left. Cortney found a picture of Seamus's letter addressed to Cortney from Seamus.

Please read this to our daughter when she is born, And when your family is not around.  

Dear Dana,

I love you so much. I wish I could be there for your birth, but times are complicated. I can't wait to meet you. I will protect you from all those scary monsters in your closet and your nightmares. I will scare all those boys that you date. That's a long way from now. For now, you'll always be in my heart and on my mind. You are so beautiful. When You-Know-Who is gone, and it's safe for me to come around, I'll be there. Let's hope this is over soon, and Harry Potter defeats the You-Know-Who soon. I love you for infinity and beyond.
