Cortney sat in her room, with her cousin. He was staring at the mark on his arm, he looked completely terrified.

" Draco, are you alright? " Cortney asked.

" Ya, I'm fine," Draco said shrugging it off. " Wait why aren't you becoming a Death Eater ?"

" I don't want to. But I'll support," Cortney answered. " That's what your mum does".

" Don't lie to me Cortney," Draco ordered. " I won't tell".

" Promise," Cortney said looking at him.

" I Draco Lucius Malfoy, promise I won't tell anyone," Draco said looking her in the eyes.

" I don't want to be one and I don't support You-Know-Who," Cortney said in a whisper. " I was raised by muggles, I thought I was one, my family back home are muggles. People I love very much. Muggles are people just as much as we are. I also have a lot of muggle-born friends, Seamus trust that I won't go down a dark path and-"

" I get it, Cort," Draco said. " You like him don't you ?"

" Like who? " Cortney asked confused.

" Seamus Finnigan," Draco said smirking.

" I don't yet, I'm just going to see how I feel about it as time goes," Cortney said blushing.

" You want to keep him safe, don't you? " Draco asked.

" Yeah, and everyone else I care about," Cortney said. " The task you have been given is very extreme. You are just a boy".

" I know, but I have to do it," Draco said looking away. " I don't want to discuss this anymore. Want classes are you taking this year? "

" Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Defense Against Dark Arts,  History of Magic, Care for Magical Creatures and Divination," Cortney answered.

" No Astronomy or Herbology this year? " Draco teased.

" Thank Merlin no," Cortney exaggerated. There was a knock at the door. They both looked up to see Bellatrix.

" Hello mum," Cortney greeted.

" Hello Aunt Bella," Draco greeted.

" What were you two talking about? " Bellatrix asked folding her arms.

" Subjects we are taking this school year," Cortney answered.

" Cortney is not taking Astronomy or Herbology! "Draco blurted.

" Draco !" Cortney fake gasped. " You promised you wouldn't tell them this! "

" Okay crazy cats, come down for dinner," Bellatrix laughed before leaving. 

" Nice cover cous," Cortney whispered.

" Thanks," Draco laughed.

A night later, Cortney went down to Diagon Alley without her family. They trusted that she would be fine. She was visiting the twin's joke shop, with most of the school. Everything about the joke shop spelled Fred and George. Wall painted orange as their hair, walls covered in purple and green shelves. The products the twins invented were outstanding! Cortney was looking at a pink bottle with Hermione and Ginny.

" Love Potions ladies? " Fred and George asked.

" They really do work," Fred said.

" But from what we've heard you're doing fine yourselves," George said.

" What do you mean? " Ginny asked.

" Are you currently dating Dean Thomas? " George asked.

" That's none of your business," Ginny flustered. The twins laughed and began going up their stairs.

" How much is this? " Ron asked holding up a product.

" Five galleons," the twins answered.

" But I'm your brother," Ron protested. Fred and George both gave each other a look before replying.

" Ten galleons," they answered pulling faces. Cortney was still at the love potions with Ginny and Hermione.

" So how is your relationship with Dean going? " Hermione asked.

" Pretty good," Ginny answered. 

" Have you kissed? " Cortney questioned.

" Yes," Ginny replied blushing. Cortney giggled and walked away to look at other products. She began to look at dung bombs and U-No-Poo.

" Cortney," the twins said walking up to her.

" Fred and George," Cortney greeted.

" I see that you are interested in U-No-Poo," Fred began.

" Plan on using it on anyone or yourself," George trailed. " Lavender Brown or Theodore Nott? "

" Both," Cortney answered smiling. The twins laughed before walking away. Cortney grabbed a U-No-Poo and a quill that does a self-check on spelling and whatnot. After she bought the items, she put them in her little bag with her. Walking out of the shop she ran into someone. Before she fell, the person grabbed her arm and helped her balance on her feet again.

" If it wasn't for me, you would have fallen on your arse," a voice said.

" You are sooooooo funny," Cortney sassed looking at Seamus. Over his shoulder, she saw her mother coming down the street from the window. She grabbed Seamus's wrist and dragged him to the back of the store.

" You made me miss all the other products! " Seamus pointed out angrily.

" Sorry, saw my mother coming down the street," Cortney answered.  " And I do not want her to see me".

" Okay Cort," Seamus looking at her strangely. He then looked over his shoulder toward the window. " I think she passed".

" Thanks," Cortney huffed. " See you at Hogwarts then I guess".

" See ya Hogwarts," Seamus repeated scathing the back of his head. Cortney made her way through the crowd till she got to Hermione. The two girls plus Ron and Harry began to leave. 

" Hi Ron," said voice Cortney highly dislikes. They turned and saw Lavender Brown. She was holding a love piton and looking at Ron in hope. 

" Hi," Ron greeted back awkwardly. She watched him till they were out of the door.

" How do Fred and George do it? Half the alleys closed down," Hermione asked. They saw a shop with broken windows and damage. Looking like most of the shops on the street. " Oh no, everyone got their wands from Ollivanders". They walked over to the abandoned shop. The closer they got, the more tragic the damage. Papers ripped, boxes and wands all over the place.

" Harry is me or does it look like Draco and  Mummy don't want to be followed? " Ron asked. They watched as the two Malfoys tried not to be noticed, travel down the street. The four silently followed them. Cortney's relatives entered a shop in Knockturn Alley. They entered the shop of Borgin and Burkes. Harry suggested they climbed the roof, nobody protested. They helped each other on top of the roof and looked through a window. Everyone including Bellatrix was dressed in all black. Draco was being shown a wardrobe. They ducked when a man turned around, they were hopeful that they didn't get caught. When they looked back at the window, the curtain was closed.
