Cortney just arrived at Sirius's place with Arthur Weasley. She was greeted by all the Weasleys, Hermione, and her cousin.  

" So nice to see you Cortney darling," Mrs. Weasley greeted.

" It's nice to see you too Mrs. Weasley," Cortney greeted. Everyone left the room except Sirius. Cortney tackled him in a hug.

" Have you spoken to Harry? " Sirius asked.

" Yes, have you? " Cortney answered.

" Not that much," Sirius admitted. 

" You'll talk to him soon," Cortney assured him.

" How was your time at the Malfoy's ? " he asked scrunching his nose.

" I didn't go to the Malfoy's this summer," Cortney informed.

" Where did you go? " Sirius asked raising an eyebrow.

" I went home to my family in America," Cortney answered.

" Ahhh, the Weasley's told me about the O'Donnell's," Sirius said smiling. All of a sudden a girl with short pink hair came in.

" Hello, I am Tonks," the girl said holding out her hand.

" Hello! You must be my other cousin! Ginny mentioned you in a letter! " Cortney exclaimed. " I'm Cortney".  She shook her cousin's hand.

" It's nice to meet you too," Tonks said as changed her mouth to a duck's bill. Cortney's eyes went wide.

" How did you do that ?" Cortney asked.

" Tonks is a Metamorphmagus," Sirius answered smiling at her.

" What is that? " Cortney asked.

" I can change my physical appearance at will, from any sex of a human to any animal parts on. My hair changes color based on mood," Tonks explained.

" Cool," Cortney breathed.

" Sirius told me that you are an animagus, an unregistered one," Tonks said crossing her arms.

" Please don't tell anyone," Cortney pleaded. 

" I won't! " Tonks laughed. " Sirius is unregistered too. I guess our family has a thing for shapeshifting".

" Not everyone," Sirius said. " Your mother knows Occlumency".

" What's that? " Cortney asked.

" It's the ability to close one's mind against Legilimency," Tonks explained.

" What's Legilimency? " Cortney asked.

"It's to be able to navigate through the layers of one's mind," Tonks explained. " Don't worry couz".

" We'll catch you up on the family tree so enough," Sirius laughed patting her head.

Now she was in a room with Hermione and Ron. The adults were downstairs having a meeting. The door opened and Harry walked, Hermione, flung her arms around Harry.

" Harry ! " she gasped. " Are you alright? we've heard them talking about the Dementor attack. You must tell us everything"

" You might want to let him breathe Hermione," Ron said.

" And the hearing at the Ministry. It's outrageous I've looked it up, they can't! It's completely unfair ! " ranted Hermione.

" Yeah, there's a lot going on at the moment," Harry said. " What is this place? " 

" Its Headquarters," said Cortney. " The Oder of the Phoenix. It's a secret society. Dumbledore formed it when they first fought You-Know-Who".

" You couldn't have put any of this into a letter, I suppose," snipped Harry

" We tried to write, really did but-" Ron began.

" But what? " Harry snapped.

" Dumbledore told us not to tell you anything," said Hermione.

" Dumbledore said that? But why would he keep me in the dark, maybe I could help. After all, I am the one who saw him, I'm the one who fought him, I'm the one who saw Cedric Diggory get killed! " Harry listed. " There was a popping sound and a hand landed on Harry's shoulder, he turned and saw Fred and George.

" If you're done chatting," George began.

" Would you like to hear something interesting? " Fred asked. The twins told them about a joke product they invented. It was a hearing ear, if you put it outside a door or something you would be able to hear the conversation. All of them leaned over a railing with the ear dangling by the kitchen, where the meeting was held. From what they heard, they were talking about Harry, and how to keep him safe. They heard Sirius and then Snape.

" Snapes apart of the Order? " Harry asked.

" Git," Ron muttered. They looked back down and saw Hermione's cat. Fred urged George to raise the ear, but it was too late. Crookshanks had a hold of the ear.

" Crookshanks! No ! Bad! " Hermione hissed at her cat. Crookshanks ignored her, eventually snagging the ear of the line.

" Hermione I hate your cat," Fred stated. they began to head downstairs.

" You'll be eating in the kitchen," Mrs. Weasley said smiling at the bottom of the stairs. The twins popped up behind her. " OH! Just because you are allowed to use magic now doesn't mean you have to whip your wands out for everything! "  She shouted at the twins who hurried away. She then turned to them. " Are you hungry? "

" You sure you alright? You gave us quite a terror," asked Mr. Weasley.

" Harry Potter," said Sirius. The Weasleys moved out of the way revealing him to Harry.

" Sirius! " Harry breathe as everyone else entered the kitchen. Cortney sat on the end next to Hermione. The three girls, Cortney, Ginny, and Hermione were laughing really hard as Tonks changed appearances. From a duck beak to a pig's nose.

" I don't understand what's the Ministry of Magic got against me? " Harry asked causing everyone to pipe down.

" Show him. He'll find out soon enough," Moody ordered. Kingsley handed Harry a copy of the Daily Prophet. There was a picture of him before the third task, the headline read: The boy who lies?  " They are getting Dumbledore too". The first page, sure enough, was criticizing the headmaster of Hogwarts.

" Fudge is using all his power to the Daily Prophet-" Lupin began.

" Smear anyone who claims to the Dark Lord has returned," Sirius finished.

" Why? " Harry asked.

" The Minister of Magic thinks Dumbledore is after his job," Lupin said.

" That's insane on one in their right mind would-" Harry began.

" Exactly the point. Fudge isn't in his right mind. he's been twisted and warped by fear," Lupin cut off Harry. " Now fear makes people do terrible things. The last time Voldemort gained power almost everything was destroyed-everything we hold dear to us. Now he's returned and I'm afraid the Minister will do almost everything to avoid facing the.....terrible truth".

" We think Voldemort wants to build up his army again. Fourteen years ago he had huge numbers of his command. Not just witches and wizards but all kind of dark creatures. He's been recruiting heavily and we've been attempting the same. But gathering followers isn't the only thing he's interested in. We believe Voldemort might be after something-" Sirius sid.

" Sirius," Moody said in a warning voice.

" Something he didn't have last time," Sirus finished.

" You mean...like a weapon? " Harry asked

" No, that's enough," Mrs. Weasley interrupted. " he's just a boy ! You say much more and you might as well just leave straight away".

" Good! I want to join! " Harry said. " If Voldemort's raising an army I want to fight! " Sirius gave Mrs. Weasley the I-told-you-so-look.
