One late night Cortney was fooling around with Milan, De'lexi, and Joey in the woods. They in their Animagus forms, Cortney and Milan wrestled a lot. Everything was going great till they saw an orange glow, and felt warm heat. They peaked over a bush and saw a bunch of dragons, Cortney saw Charlie Weasley.

"Let's get out of here! " De'lexi squeaked. The others agreed and started to go back. Cortney's tail got stepped on. She growled and looked up and saw Harry. He looked down at her apologetically. She decided to tag along with him.

" I'm going back to the castle, don't get caught" Harry hissed as he threw on his Invisibility cloak. When they reached the castle, Cortney transformed back and Harry told her how the first task they are going to have to battle a dragon.

" Please be careful," Cortney pleaded.

" I will try my best, have you ever fought a dragon before ? " said Harry. Cortney shook her head. She was afraid for her friend's life.

Cortney was now with her cousin and a few of the guys from Slytherin. They were hanging out by a tree. Everyone was wearing badges. They had a yellow color to them and Cedric's face on it. Whenever Harry passed they would turn to his face and green with the words ' Potter Stinks'. Cortney bought one for kicks and giggles, but she doesn't wear it.

" I bet you can't climb a tree," Crabbed said to Draco.

"Watch me," Draco growled, he climb into the tree and sat facing them.  Crabbe rolled his eyes.

" You win," huffed Crabbe.

" Look it's Potter! " Goyle pointed out. They watched Harry storm over to the doorway. He face Ron and Seamus . Harry and Ron were extremely angry with each other at the moment. Seamus looked over at Cortney and smiled, she smiled back. The two boys left, leaving Harry looking distressed.

" Why so tense Potter !? " Draco called. Harry turned and looked at them Cortney rolled her eyes and picked at her nails. " Father and I have a bet you see, I don't think you'll last ten minutes in this tournament. He disagrees, he doesn't think you'll last five !" Draco jumped out of the tree as Harry stormed up to him.

" I don't give a damn about your father thinks Malfoy," Harry hissed. " He's vial and cruel. And you're just as pathetic! " Harry turned and walked away. Draco got angry and pulled out his wand to point at Harry.

" How dare you try and curse someone when their back is turned! " Moody snapped as she shot a spell Draco, he transformed into a white ferret. Cortney's eyes went wide as she looked down at the white ferret that's supposed to be her cousin. Harry to see what was happening and began laughing. Cortney tried her best to hold back a smile. " Cowardly Scrum! " He made Draco do a few ferret tricks, putting him in the air a few times.

" Professor Moody! " Professor McGonagall called. " What're you doing !?"

" Teaching," Moody answered as he levitated the ferret.

" Is that--Is that a student ? " she asked horrified.

" Technically a ferret," pointed out Moody. He made Draco go down Goyle's pants. When he got out, McGonagall turned him back into a boy. Draco got up looking horrified and face Moody with an angry look.

" My father will hear about this," Draco spat backing up.

" Is that a threat !?  Is that a threat !? "Moody asked chasing after him.

" Alastor! Alastor! " McGonagall called stopping him from moving even further.

" I could tell stories about your father that would even curl your greasy hair boy! " Moody hollered. " It doesn't end here! "

" Professor, we never use Transfiguration as a punishment! Surely Professor Dumbledore told you that ! " scolded McGonagall.

" He might've mentioned it," said Moody. McGonagall continued to scold him before shooing everyone away. Moody took Harry somewhere else.

Cortney was in the Slytherin common room, she was over by the fireplace, putting on a hat. Today was the morning of the first task. She was sitting with her Slytherin girls.

" Ready? " Millicent asked.

" Lets do it," confirmed Tracey. The girl made their way outside and down the path to the Quidditch stands. That's were the first task was to be held.

" Rumors been told that there's going to be dragons," Cortney said.

" Who did you hear that from ? " Daphne asked.

" One of the champions possibly," Cortney said. She put her finger up to her lips. The girls all giggled.

" This is going to be so exciting," Kierra mentioned. " I love dragons".

" We know," Pansy said. " Fire! "

" Fire! " Cortney repeated. Soon they reached the stands. Cortney stood in between Seamus and Pansy and in front of Teddy, Blaise, and Adrian.

" Hey Cort," Seamus greeted as she reached them. 

" Hey Seamus," Cortney greeted.

" You look warm," Seamus commented. Cortney looked at him no sort of warm stuff on.

" You look like you are going to get pneumonia," Cortney said. Seamus pulled her hat down over her eyes angrily. She pulled up her hat just in time for Dumbledore to speak. They watched Fleur, Cedric, and Viktor battle the dragons successfully. Next was Harry to go.

" Three of our champions have faced their dragons! So each of them will proceed to their next task! And now our fourth and final contestant! " Dumbledore announced. Slowly they watched Harry exit a hole he came out of. There were a lot of rocks, Harry didn't see the dragon. The golden egg Harry was to grab was sitting on top of a rock. Harry started towards it when a dragon's tail slammed down on him, throwing him off his feet. The dragon was a Hungarian Horntail dragon, it was at least 50 feet tall. The dragon watched Harry before breathing fire on him, Harry dove behind a rock. The crowd screamed in horror, the dragon's tail came crashing down on a rock next to Harry. He sprinted to other rocks to hide behind. The dragon's tail hit Harry in the stomach and he went flying backward and hit his back hard on a rock.

" You wand Harry! " Hermione screamed. " Use your wand! " Harry scrambled on to his feet and hid behind more rocks, he took out his wand and pointed it at the sky.

" Accio Firebolt! " Harry shouted. The dragon continued to breathe fire at him. The broomstick came zooming out of nowhere, the dragon went to go attack Harry again with fire. Harry was quiet, he jumped onto the broom and flew away, everyone was cheering. Harry flew down to grab the egg, he had to pull his hand back from getting burned. The dragon broke off the chain and chased him. Harry tried to lose the dragon, but it only had eyes on him. Harry flew the teacher's stadium, the dragon's tail tore through it and knocked the staff down.

" Yeah ! " cheered the Weasley twins.

" Well done dragon ! " shouted Fred as the twins clapped. Harry and the dragon flew out of sight. The two were gone for quite a while.

" Seamus," Cortney said in a low voice.

" Everything is going to be alright," Seamus assured her. They heard a dragon roar, but no scream from Harry.

" Seamus," Cortney said in a louder voice. He grabbed her arm so she wouldn't freak out. There was a whizzing sound coming from the other side of the stadium, they looked and saw Harry coming into view. Everyone cheered and clapped. 

"YES! YES! " Hermione cried. Harry flew down and grabbed the egg. Cortney joined the Gryffindor house for an after party. Everyone clapped and cheered as Harry held the egg up proudly. Fred and George hoisted Harry onto their shoulders. 

" Ya Harry! " They cheered as Harry threw his egg at Seamus, who passed it to other people.

" We knew you wouldn't die ! " began Fred

"Lose a leg," continued George

" Or an arm," added Fred.

" Pack it all together ! " exclaimed George

"Never! " They finished together. The egg was passed to Cortney, she passed it back to Seamus.

" Shut up ! " shouted Seamus. Everyone got quiet. " Come on what's the clue ? " he asked. Seamus kissed the egg before passing it back to Harry. 

" Who wants me to open it !? " exclaimed Harry. People cheered. " You want me to open it !? " People cheered even louder. Harry opened the egg to let out a screeching sound-making everyone cover their ears. The twins dropped Harry, he quickly shut it.

" What the bloody hell was that? !? " Ron asked. Everyone stared at him and Harry.

" Alright everyone go back to your knitting. This going to be very uncomfortable enough without all you listening in," Fred ordered. Everyone turned around as Ron and Harry walked up to each other.

" I reckon you have to be barking mad to put your own name in the Goblet of Fire," said Ron

" Caught on, have you? " Harry asked. " Took you long enough".

" I'm not the only one who thought you done it. Everyone was saying it behind your back," Ron said defensively.

" Brilliant. That makes me feel loads better," sassed Harry.

" Lucky I warned you about the dragons," Ron said smiling a little.

" Hagrid warned me about the dragons," Harry corrected him.

" No, no I did. Don't you remember? I told Hermione to tell you what Seamus told me that Pavarti told Dean that Hagrid was looking for you. Seamus never actually told me anything so it was really me all along. I thought we'd be alright after you'd figure it out," Ron explained.

" Who could figure that out? That's completely mental," said Harry.

" Yeah," Ron laughed. " I suppose a bit distraught..."

" Boys," Hermoine breathed. Harry and Ron shook hands.
