" Sorry about the bite, I reckon that twinges a bit," said Sirius. Harry and Sirius were helping Ron out of the shrieking shack and back onto Hogwarts grounds.

" A  bit? A bit? You almost tore off my whole leg off ! " said Ron.

" I was going for the rat. Normally I have a very sweet disposition of a dog," began Sirius. " In fact, more than once James suggested, that I make the change permanent. The tail I could live with, but the fleas they're murder". When they got outside Sirius and Harry sat Ron on the log. Sirius walked down the hill staring at Hogwarts, Cortney joined him.

" So you're my cousin ?" Cortney questioned.

" You look a lot like your mother," Sirius said.  " I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing".

" Both," Cortney said. " I've never met her, so I'm glad I resemble her. You were the dog back over Christmas break, weren't you? " Sirius smiled.

" Your the fox, and your friends are the other animals ?" Sirius questioned. Cortney nodded her head. 

" You can't tell anyone," Cortney said with a serious face.

" I won't," Sirius said smiling at his cousin. Cortney then went back up the hill, she passed Harry who was going down to Sirius. Cortney sat on the log next to Ron.

" Now you've met two of your cousins, " Hermione said.

" Ya," Cortney said. " My parents the other day," Cortney said.

" What did they have to say? " Ron asked. " How is Tristan? "

" Tristan? " Lupin asked.

" He's my younger brother, well not biologically," Cortney said. " And it wasn't those parents".

" Your biological parents sent you a letter? " Peter asked. They all glared at him harshly.

" Ya, it was strange," Cortney said. Hermione looked up and her eyes widen.

"Harry! " Hermione called. He turned to see Hermione pointing at the full moon. Lupin's eyes began to change color, he began to transform, Sirius bolted over to him.

" Remus my old friend, have you not taken your potion tonight? You know the man you truly are Remus! This heart is where you truly live! This heart! " Lupin dropped his wand and Peter picked it up, he aimed it at his head.

" Expelliarmus! Harry shouted the wand flew out of his hand. It was too late, Peter waved and smiled at them before turning back into a rat and running off. Lupin's nails began to grow longer and sharper his clothes ripped and he grew taller, fur covering his face and body.

" Run! Run! " Sirius shouted as Lupin flung Sirius off him, howled, and began towards them. Cortney dashed towards Sirius. She couldn't find him until she saw a dog. She then too transformed into a fox. In the distance, she heard Snape.

" There you are Potter ! " he sneered as he grabbed Harry by the collar. They heard a deep growl. Snape turned and immediately shoved the students behind him.

" Where's Cortney? " Hermione asked.

" Probably back at the castle-like the rest of you should be ! " said Snape. Remus swung at them, knocking them to the ground. He went for the again when Sirius as a dog leaped on him. A fox leaped onto him too. Sirius, the fox, and Remus were tearing at each other's skin. Lupin went for them again, but Sirius bit him causing Sirius to go after them.  the fox ran after them too.

" Sirius! " Harry shouted running after them. 

" Get back here Potter! " Snape yelled. Harry saw Lupin kick the fox and throw Sirius. Harry picked up a rock and threw it at Lupin. The werewolf started towards them. They heard a howl and Remus went away. Harry turned and saw Sirius stumble away, in front of Sirius was a familiar person. When Harry got down towards the lake, he saw Sirius and Cortney lying on the edge of the lake. 

" Sirius! Cortney! " Harry shouted as he knelt down to both of them. They were both cut up pretty badly. The water began to freeze over. Sirius opened his eyes and gasped, he was completely terrified. Cortney opened her eyes to see that they were looking at it, about a hundred dementors circling them. Harry stood up with his wand out. A dementor came down and began to suck out the happiness of the three.

" EXPECTO PATRONUM! " The light from Harry's wand created an oval shape, it kept the dark creatures away for a bit. Harry dropped to his knees as the dementors kept attacking them. Mainly go for Sirius. Soon Sirius was completely sill, a little blue light came out of his mouth, it was his soul! Blinding came out of nowhere, Harry looked over to see a silver-white stag standing on the other side of the lake. It shined so brought that it sent the dementors away and the blue ball went back into Sirius. Harry was one last of them to go unconscious. Soon Snape came and put them all on stretches and sent them to the hospital wing while Sirius was sent to a dungeon or prison of some sort at Hogwarts.
