Everyone heard about what happened with Harry and Professor Quirrell. The professor had You-knows-face on the back of his head. It was the end of the year feast. Slytherin colors were all over the Great Hall. Professor McGonagall taped her glass and everyone went silent and looked up. Headmaster Dumbledore stood up to speak.

" Another year gone. And now it's the House Cup that needs awarding. And the points standing in forth. In fourth place Gryffindor with 312 points." People clapped. In third place Hufflepuff with 353 points". More people clapped. " In second place Ravenclaw with 426 points". More people clapped. " And in first place Slytherin with 472 points ". Dumbledore announced. The whole Slytherin table erupted into cheers. Besides Cortney, she was in the middle of eating toast. She was very confused and startled by what just happened. 

' You should really start paying attention' Cortney thought to herself as she ate her toast.  Her friends from the other table looked over at the table and laughed lightly when they got to her.

" What does she think she's doing? " Fred asked.

" Apparently she's hungry and confused," George said shaking his head.

" Yes well done Slytherin, however! Recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last-minute points to award," Dumbledore announced. The hall went silent. " To Ms. Hermione Granger, for the use of cool intellect while others were in gravel peril- 50 points". People clapped as Hermione blushed. " Second to Mr. Ronald Weasly, for the best-played game of chess Hogwarts has seen in so many years- 50 points". More people clapped as Ron blushed. " And third to Mr. Harry Potter, for outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor house- 60 points". Everyone cheered and clapped as Harry had a very toothy grin.

" We are tied with Slytherin," Hermione said.

" And finally it takes a great deal to stand up to our enemies. But a great more to stand up to our friends. I award 10 points to Mr. Neville Longbottom". The hall erupted into cheers and clapping. " Assuming to my calculations are correct,I believe that a change of decorations is in order". Dumbledore clapped his hands and the silver and green banners changed to red and gold.

" Yes! " Hagrid shouted. He quickly mouths sorry. Everyone threw their hats in the air, except the Slytherins. Well besides Cortney, she took the opportunity and pretended she was graduating from high school. Plus she was going to see her family very soon. She misses everyone back home so much.

Cortney stood outside Hogwarts at the train station. She was with Seamus, Dean, and Neville.

" Congratulations on getting House Cup," Cortney said smiling.

" Thanks," Seamus said shaking her hand.

" Did you even know what was going on? " Dean asked. Cortney shook her head and her eyes went wide.

" I was eating toast and in my own little world, then all of a sudden people at my table started clapping and cheering. I was very startled," Cortney explained

" Of all times you actually decide to eat and not pay attention, it was during house cup awarding," Seamus said rolling his eyes. 

" What? " Cortney said defensively. " I was just thinking about home". She flipped her hair and walked over to Hermione, Harry, and Ron.

Hermione was standing on the train looking down at them.

" It feels strange going home, doesn't it? " Hermione asked.

" I'm not really going home, not really," Harry said smiling With one last look at Hagrid they boarded the train. The trio found a compartment.

" What are you doing this summer? " Hermione asked.

" I'm going home," Cortney said.

" No, like are you meeting the rest of the Malfoys," Ron clarified,

" Oh no, I'd love to....but...I've been away from home for so long, I just really miss everyone," Cortney said.

Cortney ended up flying home. All her stuff was already transported there. Cortney walked four steps up her driveway before a little six-year-old boy came running into her arms.

" You've been gone for so long! " Tristen cried hugging her.

" It's been way too long! " Cortney exaggerated. " I missed your birthday !! Now six year old no longer five ! You are growing up on me ! ". The rest of the family came out and greeted her with hugs and kisses. Brice, Jordan, and Rosemary came running out to greet and hug her. It was good to be home.
