Cortney was sitting at the table with the girls in her house and year.

"Can tell you a superstition I have ?" Pansy asked Cortney as they were doing homework together.

" I love superstitions," Cortney sarcastically with a smile. Well for one both of them are witches.

" I think Theodore Nott, has a crush on you," Pansy said with a lot of air in her voice.

" No, he does not, you're dreaming Ms. Parkinson," Cortney grumbled rolling her eyes.

" Pay attention to him for the next few days, you'll see what I'm talking about, Lestrange," Pansy shot. They heard feet hitting the ground multiple times. The two girls looked over and saw Neville Longbottom bunny hopping into the Great Hall. The two girls giggled and looked at each other knowing how did it.

" I'll go see what's going on," Cortney giggled getting up and heading over to the Gryffindor table. She claimed a seat next to Hermione before Neville made it over to the table. 

" Leg locker curse? " Ron asked.

" Malfoy," Harry answered.  " You have to start standing up to people Neville".

" Yeah, Harry's right," Ron agreed. "He's used to walking all over people, but that's no reason to lie down in front of him and make it easier". the table glared at him for his choice of words.

" There's no need to tell me I'm not brave enough to be in Gryffindor, Malfoy already done that," Neville sighed on the verge of tears.

 " Neville, don't listen to my cousin, " Cortney spoke, as she ate some grapes. Neville looked up at her surprised. He expected her to stick up for her cousin. 

" Does he walk all over you too, Cortney? " Seamus asked.

" Sometimes," Cortney lied. Ron, Harry, and Hermione all shook their heads, but no one noticed.

" Neville, you are worth twelve of him," Harry said. Neville looked at him and gave a small smile.

" Can anyone help me out of this leg locker curse? " Neville asked trying to keep his balance.

" I know the Counter curse," Seamus said pulling out his wand.

" No, that's all I need is to have my bloody knee caps on fire," said Neville. Seamus slammed his wand down, obviously offended.

" I don't appreciate the situation, Longbottom! Besides if anyone cares to notice my eyebrows have completely grown back! " Seamus shouted before turning around and storming off. There was a bald spot on the back of his head. Cortney giggled slightly at the sight. Somebody helped Neville with the curse, freeing his legs. Everyone returned or began to work on homework. A note was slipped to Cortney.

~ Did you tell Seamus? - Hermione~.

Cortney looked at Hermione and shook her head. Hermione gave her a -tell-him-soon- look. Cortney responded with a-how-look.

" You figure it out," Hermione said out loud accidentally. Cortney's hands flew over Hermione's mouth, The boys looked at themm questionably.

" Figure what out? " Harry asked suspiciously.

" Nothing," the girls coursed.

" Lestrange," a deep voice said coming out of nowhere. The voice caused her to jump, and her quill to go flying. She looked behind her to find Marcus Flint.

" Oh hello Marcus," Cortney greeted.

" Draco wants to speak to you," he said before walking away. Cortney turned to the table bewildered.

" Has anyone seen my writing utensil? '" Cortney asked wide-eyed. They all pointed to the table.

" Go talk to your mean cousin, " Neville instructed.

" We'll get your quill to you later," Hermione said. With that Cortney nodded her head and got up to leave. On her way out she saw Pansy giving her googly eyes, she glanced from Cortney to Theodore. Cortney just rolled her eyes. Cortney found Draco in the Slytherin dorm. He was at a table with Crabbe and Goyle. 

" Hello cousin," Cortney shouted from across the room. Her cousin nodded to the two boys, they got up and left. i

" Cortney, I really think you should know some stuff about your biological family," Draco said. This got Cortney interested, she had so many questions. " First things first, my mom and your mom are siblings".

" Interesting," Cortney breathed. Her eyes were larger with curiosity.  

" Second, my parents are your god-parents," Draco revealed. " This makes us god-siblings". Cortney sat with a blank expression. He just told her two things and it was already a lot of information to take in at once. Actually, the god-parent information was just a lot to take in. " Cousin ? "he asked snapping her out of her daze. With that Draco explained for family information, very brief and shallow. " I really do think you should meet my parents". Cortney just nodded and went up to her dorm.

Cortney ran down to Hagrid's hut. It was almost after hours, so she had to be quick, but she had a lot to ask Hagrid. She gave a knock at his door. He opened the door, he looked really sweaty.

" Cortney? " Hagrid asked. " It's almost after hours, you shouldn't be here".

" I know," Cortney sighed. Hagrid let her in any way. He was making something in the fire or so that's what she thought. Hagrid told her all about how it was a dragon egg. It was a Norwegian Ridgeback dragon. All of a sudden there was a knock at the door, interrupting their conversation. Cortney looked outside and saw it was pitch black. 

' POTATO SACK I LOST TRACK OF TIME ' Cortney thought to herself, as she began to panic. Hagrid opened the door revealing Hermione, Ron, and Harry.

" Hagrid," Harry breathed.

"Oh hello, sorry not to be rude, but I'm not in fit of entertainment today, " Hagrid said as he began to close the door.

" We know about the Sorcerer's stone! " They shouted at the same time. 

" Oh, well come in then," Hagrid said in surprise opening the door to let them in. Cortney wanted to know more, but she knew she had to get to the castle before something bad happens. So she took this opportunity and slipped out the back door and headed towards the castle. Turned out that Draco saw the dragon hatch with everyone else. He ran up to the castle to Professor McGonagall, waking her up. She was not a very happy camper. She gave all four detention and deducted 50 points. Snape was beyond furious at Draco as he was woken up and told this. Cortney was wide awake in her bed when she heard her cousin come in. He headed straight for his dorm. She had a lot on her mind, preventing her from falling asleep. All the things Draco told her were running through her head like a marathon. She started to consider actually meeting Draco's parents. Like she is their niece. She stared at the Malfoy family picture, trying to take in every detail. She does want to meet them. But most of all she wants to meet her parents. No matter horrible they are (from what she's heard).

Authors Note:  Sorry about the short chapters, a couple more short ones are to come. I still need to get back in the groove of writing more and whatnot. I am super glad it's summer. I burned all my ex's letters and whatnot. My best friend was super proud of me. Anyways fun times lie ahead !! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter !! Love you all !!
