Chapter 5

Unknown POV

Ever since the day I was born I was always destined to be different.

I was the only one born under the blue moon eclipse that happened once every thousand years.

No one, not even humans are ever born on that day but by the grace and honor of the moon goddess I was born on that day.

They believed I would be different from all supernaturals creatures and I was destined to be their ruler.

As destiny had written it I became the most powerful werewolf Prince to ever walk the earth.

Too bad not everyone liked my difference. Especially the vampires. They believed they could never be ruled by a werewolf.

They believed we were below them and should only be servants to them.

They almost got the ruling power but my parents stood against them even though in the end I was the only one who was able to take the power they once stole from my kind.

As the commander of our army I led them to victory when the vampires thought they had control over us.

And soon I would take my place as King as soon as I turn 100 years of age.

And this is why they took my beloved away from me. They could never defeat me and so they decided to take away my one and only.

Most werewolves find their mate after they turn 18 but that wasn't the case for me.

Even my younger brothers Kai and Sehun found their mates before I did and I still had a long way to go.

I wasn't happy about this but focused all my attention to my duty to my people who had lived under the bondage of the vampires for too long.

17 years ago not only did we win the war bit the moon goddess gave me the best reward.

On that day my mate was born.

The second I caught his scent I was extremely happy and my wolf jumped with joy.

We followed the trail which led us to a small cottage out in the woods.

Some families had build homes deep in the woods to stay away from the vampires and all the battles.

I was with my second in command and his mate. They were both fierce warriors who could never be separated.

I trusted them with my life.

They had no idea what was happening but silently followed me.

As soon as I entered the house I found a woman who stood by a crib.

I could smell that she was an omega. When she saw me and felt my presence she fell on her knees showing her neck to me in submission.

I had that effect on other wolves considering I was the Alpha of Alphas.

Even the strongest warriors and alphas couldn't stand up straight when I released too much power.

I followed the scent and walked up to the crib and that's when I saw him.

He had white hair and the most beautiful purple eyes I had ever seen.

He smiled at me and mumbled gibberish making me instantly fall in love.

"Mine" my wolf said possessively as we admired our little mate who was also an omega.

He was perfect. I was going to spoil him and give him all he desired.

He was my queen and would live as such.

I wanted to hold him but I knew if I did I would never let go.

I would be patient and wait for him until he was ready.

Nothing could compare to the joy I felt at that moment when I found my mate.

"Where is your husband?" I asked the woman.

"He is ...a warrior... and part... of your army ...your highness" she said and gave me his name.

I knew him. I knew all my warriors well and he was still alive and celebrating our victory in the city with the others.

"Take my mate and let us go meet your husband in the city" I said before turning to my second and third.

"Prepare a house closest to the palace for them. I want my mate near me and heavily guarded. Everything he needs will be provided and his mother may have anything she desires. I'm counting on you two to make sure they are all safe and taken care of" I said before we left.

They was joy and celebration at the discovery of my mate and future queen but that joy was short lived.

I was needed in another state when the vampires struck. They were still bitter about their loss since I had overthrown them but they couldn't touch me.

And so they decided to hit me when it hurt.

Imagine my devastation when I can back home to find the home of my mate burnt down to ashes.

That day I lost my mate, my second and third.

I lost a part of myself which broke me in so many ways.

A normal wolf would have died from losing their mate. Even though we had never mated the minute you recognize your mate a bond is formed.

If one dies the other follows.

I could no longer feel my mate but because of my power I was able to pull through.

I was never the same again after that night as the whole nation heard my pain filled howl as I wept over the loss of their queen.
