Nightmare

"Aaammmyyy." Mark whispered by Amy's ear, slowly drawing out her name.

"Wha?" Amy woke up grudgingly, barely cracking her eyes open to look at Mark. He was already dressed in a dark blue t-shirt with a pair of jeans and red tennis shoes. In his hands was a coffee cup she hoped was for her.

"Philz Ether coffee." Amy smiled as she smelled the contents of the cup, eagerly taking it in her hands as she sat up. She was still hesitant to leave the warm comfort of the mountain of blankets she buried herself under, but at least she was more awake.

"It's seven, so we have two hours until Vidcon." Mark informed her, checking the screen of his phone to confirm that he was right.

"Why are we up two hours earlier?" Amy frowned in mild confusion.

"We need time to eat and meet up with Kathryn and Pam." Mark reminded her, standing up and offering his hand towards her to help her up.

"True." Amy sighed and took Mark's hand in hers, allowing him to pull her up.

"When did you wake up?" Amy questioned with a yawn as she set down her drink in the tv stand so she could retrieve her suitcase from under the bed.

"I was up at five...I had this really weird dream." Mark remarked as he ran a hand through his raven black hair to try and somewhat tame the floof.

"What was it about?" Amy grunted as she dragged her suitcase out and started digging through it for clothes to wear.

Mark usually had nightmares daily, or sometimes waking nightmares on bad days.

"I had a dream that Dark was talking to me, saying that we would have so much fun together and creepy stuff like that." Mark sat down on the bed, watching Amy find her outfit.

"He's not real, no matter how much the fans may want him to be." Amy promised him, standing up with a bundle of clothes in her arms and kissing Mark briefly on the cheek before disappearing into the bathroom to change.

When she emerged about fifteen minutes later, she was dressed in a vibrant multicolored floral dress with black flats, her shades over her eyes. She walked back over to her bed to grab her black bag before meeting Mark by the door.

"What took ya?" Mark teased playfully from where he was waiting for her by the door with her coffee, earning him a light slap on the arm.

"I had to shave my legs in the sink and put on makeup if you must know." Amy informed Mark, rolling her eyes at him as she took her drink back and finished it before throwing it away.

"You look beautiful no matter what, you know that?" Mark slung an arm around her shoulder and pulled her close, giving her a kiss on the lips that left a sight trace of lipstick on Mark's lips.

"Now you're just trying to flatter me." Amy smirked, using her hand to wipe the lipstick off of his lips and on his cheek where she kissed him earlier.

"Aww, I wanted to keep that as a souvenir." Mark whined.

"C'mon, we have to meet Kathryn and Pam at the elevator." Amy took his hand and practically dragged him out the door.

"Hey guys!" Kathryn waved at the two once they came in view, giving them each a hug.

"Where's Pam?" Amy looked around for her black haired friend, unable to see her anywhere.

"She got lost." Kathryn snickered in amusement.

"No I didn't!" Pam protested as she marched up to the group.

"Going up?" Mark pressed the button for the elevator. It took a moment for it to arrive and for everyone to get inside. The elevator was giant, about the size of their bathroom.

Mark had pancakes, coffee for him, and eggs for breakfast with his friends before they had to get into his car and drive to Vidcon so Mark wouldn't be late for his autographing session.

"I'm gonna do a sneak peak vlog." Mark decided as they arrived, disappearing behind the black curtains that was behind where he would be signing.

While Amy, Kathryn, and Pam went exploring, Mark started a livestream on his phone on YouTube so he could show the fans at home peeks of Vidcon.

It lasted for about five minutes before the fans waiting for him spotted him, and one of them already behind the curtain where he was.

Except she wasn't a normal fan.

She had a knife in her hand and a crazed look in her hazel eyes that bore into Mark.

Before Mark could call for help, the girl charged towards him, tackling him to the floor and stabbing him in the chest with the knife that sent blood spattering onto the black curtain.

"My boyfriend dumped me because of you." She hissed, yanking the knife out of Mark's chest and slitting her own theist as security arrived since the fans were screaming wildly.

All Mark felt was immense, unbearable pain as he grasped onto the shred of life he had left. He could hear his fans screaming and one of the security guards yelling at them to keep back while the other checked Mark's pulse.

Mark heard him say something about help coming soon, but found it hard to focus on anything but the feeling of his life fading with each beat of his heart that pumped more blood out of his body.

"Mark!"

Mark heard Amy cry as she knelt down by him, mascara dripping down her cheeks onto his face as she held his head in her lap. Kathryn and Pam stood a respectful distance back, both shocked to see Mark dying.

"Hey." Mark whispered weakly, coughing up a thin line of blood that trailed from his mouth onto the floor that joined with the rest of the blood from his chest pooling around him.

"I love you." Amy sobbed, pressing her warm soft lips to Mark's clammy cold ones.

"I-I love..." Mark trailed off, the light in his chocolate brown eyes dying like a candle that was extinguished as his eyelids fluttered shut to encompass him in black, one last sigh escaping his lungs before he fell still.

I told you we'd have so much fun together...so let's get started, Dark chuckled in the darkness of Mark's mind.
