Gone But Not Forgotten

Slow.

Everything happened too slowly.

Security holding everyone back.

Amy escorted towards her friends.

The medics taking Mark away.

The fans crying his name.

Amy flew to Cincinnati to where Mark would be buried the next day with Pam, and Kathryn.

All of his family and friends, including Amy, was there dressed in black, tears streaming down their faces. The weather was perfect with the sun high in the sky with no clouds in sight. The black polished coffin glittered in the sun like obsidian.

The sparkling light gray tombstone simply read "Mark Edward Fischbach~Gone but not forgotten." The fans even helped pitch in to buy him an angel statue as a reference to one of his old videos.

The gifts that everyone sent was arranged around his grave, the love from the fans warming Amy's broken heart.

Fans who had nothing to send made fan art for him and even started a WeMissMark hash tag that spread everywhere. Every time Amy saw what they did, she would always cry, no matter how much she tried to convince herself over the past year that Mark would want her to move on.

Tyler moved in with Ethan since he couldn't live in Mark's old house without him. Amy moved in to take care of Chica and to keep the memory of Mark alive in her heart.

Mark never made a will, so Amy kept most of his stuff, giving some some away to his brother and mother.

It wasn't until Mark's twenty-ninth birthday that Amy found a way to bring him back.

"I'll be back Chica. You'll be a good girl while I'm gone, won't you?" Amy knelt down by Chica and scratched behind her ears. She wagged her tail in response before padding off.

Amy clutched the small box filled with a picture of her, some graveyard dirt, and a black cat skull tightly in her hand as she got into her car and drove to the nearest crossroad.

She used her hand to upturn some soil before burying the box. She waited for a beat, holding her breath as she waited for something, anything, to happen.

"Hello sweetheart."

Amy whirled around in surprise when she heard a familiar voice speak. Mark was standing behind her, dressed in the same clothes he wore at Vidcon.

But he wasn't the same.

His eyes were pitch black like a galaxy without stars.

"Let me guess, you want Mark, correct?" The man that looked like Mark smirked, the usually humor filled gesture cold and mirthless.

"Who are you?" Amy demanded, considering if she should run while she still had the chance.

"Just call me Dark. I've been possessing him for awhile actually, it's kinda nice to be free." Dark tapped the side of his head.

"How do I get Mark?" Amy questioned, cautiously stepping closer to Dark.

"Come closer and I'll tell you." Dark purred, sending shivers down Amy's spine.

Amy took another step forward, nearly thrown off balance when Dark pulled her closer and pressed his cold lips against hers for a brief moment before shoving her away, sending her stumbling back until she fell into the gravel.

"The deal is done. You get me for seven years, then I take your soul." Dark grinned, this time looking wicked.

"You're not Mark!" Amy protested as she pushed herself up off of the ground.

"Technically, since I'm in his body, I am." Dark explained, his smile irritating Amy.

"You're different." Amy shook her head.

"So are you, wether you admit it or not." Dark shrugged nonchalantly before grabbing her by the arm, causing the world to turn black.

Sorry that this was a short chapter, but I hope you enjoyed nonetheless! I'm on vacation for two weeks, so posting may be sporadic and in some cases short like this one.
