Diego P.O.V

I woke up in the morning, and I got myself ready for school. Then I heard a text on my phone. It was Shira.

Hey Diego.

Hey Shira.

I want to know how are you today?

I began to wonder why she was asking how am I

I'm good and you?

I'm good.

Well, I have to get ready for school. Have a good day. Bye.

You too. Bye. 😉

After texting Shira, I went downstairs to eat breakfast. I saw my mom waiting for me like wanting to talk to me.

As I was my breakfast, my mom asked, "So, son what took you so long to get yourself ready?"

I answered differently hoping my mom not to know that I was texting a girl.

"I was texting a friend of mine."

"Boy or girl?"

"Boy." I answered trying to talk normal as possible.

"Are you sure?" My mom asked like she know I'm lying.

"Yeah, I'm sure."

"Okay. If you do let me know because I want to know if you like her, and maybe get married."

"Mom." I whined.

Then my dad came in for my rescue.

My dad spoke, "Honey, leave our son alone because whenever he gets a girlfriend, you will never know if they are getting married."

My mom spoke, "Yeah, if our son had a friend that are girls. We could invite them for dinner."

As my mom continued talking about girls, what kind of dinner she would prepare, etc. As I continued eating my breakfast.

Then something got my attention what my dad said.

"I know our son is hurt because his best friend moved out of town. That they had a strong bond."

Then I stopped eating my breakfast, I looked at my parents and they looked at me.

My dad spoke, "I'm sorry son about  reminding about Shira, I know much you care about her."

I spoke, "I know dad, I think about Shira all the time. I have to go to school."

I grabbed my keys and went to my car, started driving to school. As I was driving, I looked at the picture then I remembered something.

Flashback

3rd P.O.V

After a few days later Diego made a friend with Shira. Diego was happy to tell his parents that he made his friend.

When Diego and his parents were at the dinning table eating dinner.

Diego spoke happily, "Mama, daddy."

"What is it son?" They asked.

Diego responded, "A made a friend."

Mom spoke, "Oh really?"

Diego answered, "Yes mama and I'm very happy."

Dad asked, "Do you know your friend name?"

"Yeah, her name is Shira."

Mom spoke, "That a cute name, she must be pretty."

Diego didn't respond because he doesn't want to admit that she was pretty

The mom spoke, "Why you don't invite her and her parents to join us dinner tomorrow?"

Diego responded, "Sure."

Next day

Diego was nervous to ask her and her parents to join his family for dinner. The thing is Diego doesn't know where Shira lives. Diego was on the streets walking thinking how to dinner.

After walking for couple hours, Diego gave up and went to sit on a bench. As Diego was sitting on the bench, Diego heard a familiar voice behind him.

"You miss me?"

Diego turned around and saw it was Shira.

"Hey, Shira" Diego spoke nervously.

"Were you looking for me?" Shira asked.

"Yeah, and how did you know that?" Diego asked.

Shira doesn't want to know that she was watching Diego the whole time.

"Well, by the look of your face... softie."

Diego spoke, "Hey." Then Shira giggled.

Diego began to wonder speak nervously, "I'm here that my parents invited you and your parents to join us for dinner."

Shira smiles and spoke, "I love to come and my parents. Where do you live?"

After Diego telling Shira where he lives, a group of sabers came at them. They were a bit older than Diego.

"Look what we got here, boys. A couple."

Diego spoke to them, "We are not a couple.'

Then one of the group grabbed Shira by  the arm and dragged to the group.

Diego spoke angrily, "Let her go!"

One of them spoke, "What are you going to do, beg?" The group began laughing.

One of them pushed Diego to the ground. Then Diego slowly got up then Diego punched the saber. Then the group started fighting Diego.

Then Diego wrecked the group badly. Most of them had a bloodily noses. Diego had a nose bleed.

Shira spoke in worridness, "Are you okay?"

Diego responded, "Yeah, I'm okay. Tell your parents that your invited to have dinner with us."

"Okay, bye." Shira started going back home.

Night time.

Diego dressed up himself best as he can. Then he heard the doorbell ring. Diego went to answer the door. It was Shira and her parents.
