THE GROUP STARTED leaving the courtyard one by one.

valentina was the last one there. she got up, ready to leave when she heard her name being called.

she turned around and saw ivy, the girl from the party.

"ivy! hi!" valentina said, not expecting to see her again.

ivy smiled at the younger girl and said hi.

"i'm sorry i left you last night. my friends were leaving and i couldn't find you," valentina apologized.

"it's okay! i've been trying to find you. i didn't want to interrupt you and your friends, though,"

"it's fine! honestly, i barely understood what they were talking about," valentina laughed.

ivy laughed and looked at her phone, "i have to go, but put in your number! i'll text you later."

valentina took ivy's phone and put in her number, putting her name as "valentina" with a pink heart next to it.

"i'll see you later." valentina said, running back to her group of friends.

it was a few hours later, and everyone was in sam and tara's apartment, minus ethan, who told them he had econ.

anika and valentina were on the sofa, anika reading a book and valentina scrolling through instagram.

chad and tara were talking in the kitchen while mindy set the table.

valentina looked up when she heard mindy gag, "will you two just make out already?"

"mindy that is so inappropriate dude," chad sighed as his sister continued, "oh whatever. just get it over with!" valentina laughed at the twins.

sam laid pillows and sheets down on the chair next to the sofa, "here you go." she said to anika.

valentina zoned out as the four in the kitchen continued talking.

anika reached over to the remote on the coffee table, "guys, what the hell?" she called the four in the kitchen.

valentina looked at the tv as anika raised the volume and the others walked into the room with them.

the chyron read, "prime suspect samantha carpenter"

the reporter explained who sam was and showed the video from last night after the girl spilled a drink on her.

sam walked over to anika and took the remote from her, turning the tv off.

she sat down in the dining room and tara sat down next to her, talking to her.

valentina looked down at her phone when she realized ivy was texting her, she quickly replied back and the two had a small conversation.

she looked back up and saw chad and mindy had moved into the ding room, sitting across from sam and tara.

she smiled at her friends and went back on her phone, scrolling on tiktok instead of instagram.

she paused as she heard moaning from quinn's room, as usual.

everyone looked at each other as their phones went off. they were all airdropped a picture of ghostface attacking quinn.

"oh my god!" valentina screamed.

everyone stood up, and tara went to quinn's door, but chad held her back.

"run." mindy said before quinn was pushed out of the room and fell onto anika.

anika screamed at quinn's dead body, and ghostface walked out of the room.

chad held tara's hand and dragged her out of the apartment, "guys! come on!" tara screamed at the girls who were still in shock.

"oh fuck!" mindy said as ghostface watched from quinn's door.

ghostface moved closer to mindy and slashed her arm.

"mindy!" anika screamed at her girlfriend.

mindy groaned, and anika tried to tackle ghostface, "stay the fuck back!"

valentina tried her best to help mindy, but it was pretty hard when anika was being choked to death.

she looked at sam who was looking for the knives, just to see they were all taken.

"sam!" valentina yelled as ghostface pinned anika to the fireplace and stabbed her in the stomach.

sam ran up behind ghostface, "hey!" she yelled, hitting the back of his head with the knife holder.

ghostface fell to the floor and the girls ran into quinn's room.

mindy and anika groaned as valentina and sam tried to keep the door shut.

ghostface eventually stopped banging on the door, and the two girls looked at each other in realization.

"the bathroom door. hurry." sam said.

valentina quietly ran over to quinn's bathroom where she passed quinn's boyfriend's bloody body in the shower. the girl screamed, not expecting to see a bloody, dead, naked guy.

she looked over at the door as ghostface appeared, shoving the door open as valentina tried to shove it closed.

sam ran over to help her, and the two got it closed. valentina pushed on the door with her back as sam pushed over quinn's dresser hoping that it would keep the door shut.

ghostface pushed on the door, causing the dresser to move, and shove itself onto valentina's foot, "fuck!" she screamed.

she kept on pushing on the dresser, and sam ran over to the window to see the boy from across the street yelling.

mindy stood up to help valentina put on the door, and anika continued to groan on the bed.

valentina saw sam grabbing a ladder and connecting it between the two windows.

"mindy, you go first!" sam and valentina both urged the girl to go.

"no, sam. i'll get anika next, you go first!" she cried.

sam looked over at the boy from across the street, and started to climb on the ladder.

"you're loosing a lot of blood!" mindy said to anika as blood continued pouring out of her stomach.

"say something more positive!" anika cried, holding her stomach.

after sam made it across the ladder, mindy and valentina looked at each other.

"anika go!" valentina yelled.

"i can't. you go. please!" anika screamed.

mindy looked at valentina who told her to go first.

they moved the dresser over so it was covering the door better. mindy tried to get anika to go again, but it wouldn't work.

the two shared a kiss, and mindy carefully climbed onto the ladder. she made her way across and sam and cute boy pulled her into the apartment.

"anika! go!" valentina yelled at the girl who was crying in pain.

"i can't do it, val," valentina looked at the girl.

"please go first. please." she pleaded. valentina knew that arguing wouldn't get them anywhere, so she climbed onto the ladder and started making her way across.

she was absolutely terrified. never did she think that moving in with some harmless girls would lead to her being ready to plummet to her death.

she looked down and realized how far she would fall, "oh fuck!" she screamed.

"val, i know you're scared but you have to hurry up," mindy said.

valentina crawled a little faster, and finally made it into the apartment.

"anika! come on!" the girls yelled.

everyone looked over as ghostface pushed the door open.

anika started to climb onto the ladder and cried, "i can't do it! i can't do it!"

"you can do it!" everyone encouraged her.

their eyes widened as ghostface appeared behind anika, and she was still halfway there.

"what?"

"anika you have to move right now!" mindy screamed.

anika turned around and saw ghostface looking at her on the ladder.

she continued screaming and crying as everyone tried to get her to hurry up.

"anika, you gotta move!" sam yelled.

ghostface took his knife and stabbed it into the windowsill.

he put his hands on the side of ladder and started to shake it.

anika screamed and sam held the ladder on her side.

"i don't wanna die!" anika cried and mindy held out her hand.

ghostface continued to shake and rattle the ladder and anika held on as tight as she could.

"anika give me your hand!" sam held out her hand and anika gripped it.

ghostface picked up the ladder on one side, and anika's grip on sam's hand slipped.

the ladder tilted all the way and anika fell off, screaming as she went down.

she banged her head on the dumpster underneath the ladder, and fell onto the ground, a pool of blood quickly surrounding her.

valentina stood in shock as mindy screamed and sam held her.

ghostface took the knife that was in the windowsill and walked away.
