Epilogue: Lonely nights.

About Love by Marina.

"Where should we go?" Duncan asked his fingers laced with Jordyn's they'd both changed quite a lot.

Jordyn had grown her hair out and now it fell to her hips, she wasn't as eerie as she used to be though she still had the emo vibe illuminating around her.

Duncan had done a complete one-eighty he wasn't classified as Duncan anymore actually thought I still called him that, his hair was just brown with no extra colours, his style was still within a colour palate, Black,White and Navy though it could easily be taken as just an extention of the bad guy style he used to have.

Surprisingly he quit smoking after Jordyn got pregnant and though that pissed Annie off for a while.

She got over it after we met baby Sophie for the first time.

She has her mom's syrupy eyes and falling in love with that little cutie is nearly impossible.

"How about we just get desert?" Adonis suggested as Annie leaned into his form whilst scrolling through her Instagram feed.

"I could use a doughnut." Annie said and we all agreed heading to a sweet daze factory shop.

Now if you aren't aware what sweet daze is I suggest you search it up because their deserts are to die for.

Duncan got a dozen galaxy doughnuts for both him and Jordyn.

Adonis and Annie got custom ice creams and so did I.

We sat outside, my sunglasses still on, Adonis put on a baseball cap and Duncan put on a fadora.

"It's been a while since we were all in the same place." Annie said and all of us nodded,
"It's missed just chilling like this." I said with a sigh,
"Well, we're missing Zack." Jordyn said and I nodded.

It had been two months since I'd last seen him in remember his last words as he hugged me goodbye,
"Don't aim too high babe or you'll miss." He was referring to the game I was playing on my phone and his advice was really useful.

"He'll be back in town by tomorrow though, I mean it is our birthday tomorrow." Annie said and I nodded,
"Yeah and I swear if anyone knocks on my door before seven AM I'm punching someone."

"You say that every year and Harri is always the first person to knock on your door." Annie said and I sighed,
"That guy doesn't understand what lazy people like me go through just to open doors." Everyone just glanced at me.

We were all lazy.

There was no defence.

Annie and Adonis headed back to their apartment and Jordyn and Duncan to thier house.

Annie and Adonis had started living together about eleven years ago after Adonis had come back from Spain and Annie got pregnant.

When Annie told me I nearly fainted, we had been living together since graduation, it was weird at first but I got used to it.

A little.

Mostly because Liby had the Margaux, Camille and Ares visit alot, those three loved being here mostly because my fridge is every kid's fantasy, I guess eating like a child finally paid off when the kids came over.

I've had a lot of spare time over the past few months I've had so much time that I bake a lot and cook new things I even learnt to make cakes without flour.

The elevator dinged and I stepped out opening my door and closing it.

I put my bag on the kitchen counter then walked right to my bathroom and washed off all my make up and stripped and took a long shower letting my muscles relax.

I stepped out and changed into a large shirt and shorts then switched on the TV and warmed up some chicken curry and rice and sat on the couch crosslegged whilst eating.

I used to sit with Annie and Amber and watch How I Met Your Mother and wishing that Barney could love his suits just a little less so Robin would stay with him forever but now I sat alone I was living the dream of every person who's dreamed of making it big.

My networth was in a good place five hundred million and I could quit right now and live the rest of my life like I am now.

A few years ago I'd have wished to be alone and now I am...no one had told me that being alone meant being lonely.

I sighed getting up to put my dishes in the sink.

My phone buzzed and i picked it up,
"Aria Sedio speaking." I said resting my back against the kitchen isle,
"Wow, the professionalism is just on point." Tina said into the line and I laughed lightly,
"You answer like I do so please shut down." She chuckled,
"Sheesh you'd think that turning thirty-three would make you a little better at insults." I rolled my eyes,
"As if your any better." She chuckled before a silence broke through, I knew where this call was headed.

All my calls with Tina went this way.

"I miss you." I sighed,
"You miss sex." I said and she sighed,
"No, I miss both you and sex." She said and I could already picture her playing with a lock of her dark hair,
"We can't get back together." I said and she sighed once more,
"I know, your still in love with your bestie and even after ya'll broke up but I can't help but think that if I'd never proposed we'd still be together." I ran a hand through my hair,
"It wasn't the proposal, it was the way you proposed." I sighed and she must've nodded,
"I know it was fucked up to make your best friend propose to you for me then reveal but at the time you hadn't told me that you guys had history." She said and I nodded,
"I told you that there were complications." I said and she went quiet, for a while it was just silence,
"Happy birthday before hand Aria." I smiled lightly,
"Thanks."

She hung up and I locked my door before brushing my teeth and going to bed.

There was a knock at the door.

My eyes pried open looking at the clock on my bedside table.

00:00

I heard the knock again and groaned reaching for my glasses and putting them on before shoving off my covers and walking to the door.

I swear.

If Harri is standing on the other side of that door I'm going to bitch slap him for interrupting my slumber.

It should be illegal to do that.

I unlocked the door and there was nothing.

I groaned closing it back up before something caught my eye, a little velvet box.

I bent down to pick it up and opened it up.
A ring with a Dark violet teardrop shaped stone on it was in the box.

I looked around, and no one was present.

Was this another attempt by Tina? If so then she knows my taste in rings really well.

I walked back in closing my door.

I went straight to my room still in awe of the ring.

"Is that a yes?"

I looked up and on my bed in all his annoyingly handsome glory sat Zack, I wanted to scream at him, to faint because this was a joke or even...wait.

"How did you get into my room?" He rolled his eyes,
"You gave me a key." He said and I nodded,
"Right."
He stood up taking the box from my hand before getting on one knee,
"Arianna Ignasia Sedio, we've always been a strange pair, we haven't ever dated and I'm a year late, I should've told you that I was in love with you the night you texted me but my idiotic mind kept brushing off my feelings but I'm here, on your birthday with only my heart as a guide to ask you this one question." He opened the box, took out the ring and took my hand in his, my heart lurched forward,
"Will you marry me?" He asked and I smiled the widest smiled I'd ever had on my face,
"Yes." I breathed and he slipped the ring onto my finger.

He stood up and cupped my cheeks before his lips met mine.
