Seven: Be Honest

~The next day~

"A completely different person?" Deirdre asked.

"Yes, she sounds genuine about everything. I'm still not sure I believe her." Virgil said.

Deirdre shifted in her hospital bed and lifted a hand towards Virgil. Virgil smiled a bit and grabbed her hand gently.

"I want to leave this place..." Deirdre said.

"I know you do," Virgil said. "The doctors said they need to keep an eye on you before they release you."

"Okay..." Deirdre mumbled.

"Don't worry, you'll get out of here soon." Virgil kissed Deirdre's forehead. He checked the clock. "I need to go or else Roman would be worried."

"Did you tell him where you were going?"

"Heh, nope," Virgil smirked.

"Virgil..."

"I'll see ya later, Deer," Virgil said.

"Okay." Deirdre nodded and Virgil left the room.

Virgil opened the door to the mansion and walked in. He closed it and heard someone crying. He walked into the living room and saw Roman crying on the couch, ranting about Virgil being missing. Remy and Emile saw Virgil standing by the entryway. Virgil sighed and crossed his arms.

"Oh, look. We found a wild Virgil." Remy smirked.

Roman stopped crying. "You what?"

Roman looked to the entryway and leaped up. He ran over and hugged Virgil tightly. Virgil gladly returned the hug.

"Mi amore, where were you?" Roman asked and kissed Virgil's cheek.

"I just went to check on Deirdre," Virgil said, accepting all of Roman's affections.

"Please tell me where you're going next time," Roman said.

"Okay."

"Aw..." Said a voice. Everyone turned and saw Circe. She smiled. "You two are adorable."

"Thank... you," Virgil muttered.

"You're welcome!" Circe walked out of the room.

'Is it possible she has actually... changed?' Virgil thought.

Virgil then got out of Roman's grasp and walked up the stairs.

"Virgil...?" Roman muttered as he watched his boyfriend leave.

"Check on him," Emile said. Roman looked at him. "Make sure he's alright..."

Roman nodded and walked up the stairs, following Virgil.

Virgil sat down on his and Roman's bed and sighed.

"Mi amore...?" Roman called. He walked into the room and closed the door. "Is something wrong?"

Virgil looked up at him with tears in his eyes. "R-Roman...? Am I a bad p-person?"

Roman's eyes widened. "No, of course, you're not, Virgil. What makes you think that?"

"Well, I haven't been c-completely honest and I still think Circe is a b-bad person," Virgil said.

Roman smiled and walked over. He sat down next to Virgil and pulled him into a side hug. "Virgil... just because of those things doesn't make you a bad person."

"Are you sure?" Virgil asked and leaned into Roman.

"Mhm. Now, what haven't you told me?"

"I was thinking after we get married and get settled in... we should adopt Deirdre..." Virgil said.

Roman's eyes widened. "Adopt Deirdre?"

"Yeah. I figured she needed a home since her parents left her on the streets." Virgil said.

Roman smiled. "Sure. We can adopt her."

"Wait, really?" Virgil asked, looking up at Roman.

"Of course."

Virgil smiled and hugged Roman. "Thank you! You're the best boyfriend ever!"

"Ugh, love." Said Remus as he passed by.

"He's just jealous," Roman smirked.

"Am not!" Remus yelled.
