Eleven: Time

Virgil walked into the hospital. He went up to the receptionist's desk. The lady smiled.

"Here to see Deirdre again, Mr. Darkson?" She asked.

"Yeah." Virgil nodded.

"Great, because a doctor has some special news to share with you." She said.

Virgil nodded and walked to Deirdre's room. A doctor was outside the room. He looked up from his clipboard.

"Mr. Darkson, I have some great news." He said.

"What is it?" Virgil asked.

"Well, we ran some more tests and kept watch over Deirdre and we say she can go home in about a week." He smiled.

Virgil grinned. "Really!?"

"Yep! Well, I have to go, enjoy your visit." He said and walked away.

Virgil went into Deirdre's room and saw her with a smile on her face.

"Deirdre, did you hear?" Virgil asked, walking up to her bedside.

"Yeah, I can't wait to get out of here," Deirdre said.

"How are you doing?" Virgil questioned.

"I've been doing good. Though, the hospital food is gross." She says, sticking her tongue out.

"I get that. It really is." Virgil said.

"Have you ever been in the hospital?" Deirdre asked.

"Yep."

"From what?"

"Loss of blood," Virgil said.

"Oh... I'm sorry." Deirdre looked down.

"It's okay, Deer." Virgil smiles a bit. "Anyways, I can't stay long. I have to pass out invites to a party at Roman's place."

"Party?" Deirdre asked.

Virgil handed Deirdre an invite. "Yeah, you're also invited."

"I've never been to a party before..." Deirdre muttered.

"Well, this will be your first one," Virgil said.

"Yeah. My first... party." Deirdre smiles at the thought and then looks up at Virgil. "Thank you."

"No problem, Deer." Virgil looks at the clock. "I should go, see you soon."

Virgil kissed Deirdre on the forehead and walked out of the room.

Deirdre looked at the invitation again.

'Why do I have a feeling... that something will go wrong?'
