There are other ways to feel good besides self-harm?
Self harm may seem like the solution to your problems but it only makes things worse. It drags you deeper and deeper into the black hole called depression.
If you still want the sensation then choose a safe and healthy alternative. Using a marker to draw where you usually self-harm is one way. The idea though is to rid yourself of the need to self harm. You are so much better than that.
Exercise is a wonderful way to let off steam. It is a proven fact that exercise produces a happy hormone called endorphins.
Also certain foods help fight off depression such as fruits and vegetables. Drinking less soda pop and more water helps. Cutting down on fast food is a big one.
