Ezekiel was originated from a beanie baby dragon named Scorch, but my sister and I agreed that Zeke would be a better name for him. 

The first time I ever used Zeke, he was a completely different character (and continued to be until I used him again in Escape.). He was a small "mammal dragon" (a dragon mixed with any kind of animal, in his case it was a wolf, I believe) with the incapability of flying due to an old injury to his wings. His personality was hardly like the Ezekiel that my readers know from Magics - he was much more polite and collected. He was more levelheaded and chill with everything than angry and snappy all the time. I discarded his idea for a long time, but decided to include him in Magics.
