Did you know? 

For one or two of my attempts, Kai lived with the rest of my characters; but no one knew who he really was, and he went by the name Jet. 

I have no idea where this came from, but one try I wanted to start off the book with Kai originally living with the other characters (including Dog, or Falte), but he still had been "owned" by Thorn previously. The idea quickly flopped, however, and I didn't even remember it until the night before writing this XD.
