For a while, The Dark Lord was simply The Dark Lord - until it became Brethren some time after Shintaro's name was changed.

My sister and I didn't come up with a name for him for a long time. He was simply known as "The Dark Lord", until some time after we changed his role to be Shintaro's father. Even a for a while after Shintaro's name was changed, The Dark Lord's title remained the same. Until we gave him the background of living with a family (his wife Lilac, and Cami or Ozai) - then his name changed to Brethren, though he was still frequently called The Dark Lord out of respect from Darks or hate from others.
