When Shintaro was first created as Brethren, me and my sister made him to be the first dragon - and the last dragon to exist.

That idea was used in several books, but after a while the concept flopped. It became where Shintaro was simply the last Light to exist, except Chase (Canyon). For a while, Shintaro (still Brethren at this point) didn't like to talk about how he was the last dragon and later Light, even though Dog (Falte) pressured him to.
