Did You Forget?
There she was once again. The mysterious girl he had seen working at a coffee shop. She had light ginger hair and honey colored eyes. He thought she was beautiful, and apparently his friend, Hanji, noticed as well.
"How about you stop ogling and go talk to her!" Hanji tried to persuade him over to the girl.
"No." Levi answered simply, turning his gaze away from the girl.
"She could be your soul mate! And I saw the way you were looking at her." Hanji poked him. "You are totally in love."
"I don't even know her name, it's impossible for me to fall in love with someone I don't even know."
"Then go talk to her! Man up!"
"Fuck off."
"Nope! Come on! We're gonna talk to her!" Hanji started dragging him to the girl in the coffee shop.
"Why? I don't even like coffee."
"You do today! Just go ask her for a random thing!" She pushed him towards the counter.
"Hi!" The girl greeted. "May I take your order?" She asked kindly.
"Anything." Levi looked at her name tag. Petra.
"Name please?" She asked.
"Why do you need my name?"
The girl, now known as Petra, giggled. "There are other customers behind you and you're holding up the line. I'll call for you when you're order is ready!"
"Levi."
"Levi..." Petra repeated. "I like that name!" She smiled brightly at him.
"Yeah." Levi walked back to Hanji, his hands in his pockets.
"So? What's her name? Is she your soulmate? Are you gonna have kids? Can I be the god mother?" Hanji started blabbing.
"She seems too cheery..."
"That's exactly what you need! You're so down and negative! She completes you!"
"Yeah, no. We barely even talked."
"What's her name?"
"Petra. Why?"
Hanji froze. As if something had hit her in the face. A look of shock and joy on her face. "Petra?"
"Yeah, why?"
Hanji was about to say something until a voice spoke up. "Levi!"
"That's my order. Why'd you make me get this?" Levi asked before getting the coffee without an answer.
"Here ya go, Levi!"
Levi just nodded and slapped three dollars on the counter, before walking back to Hanji.
"Here's your coffee." Levi handed it to her, but she shook her head.
"Drink it!"
"No, I don't like-"
"DRINK IT!"
"Fine..." Levi sipped his coffee, and surprisingly enjoyed it. He took another drink.
"She made coffee that you like..." Hanji whispered to herself. "It must be her!" Hanji ran to the counter. "Petra!"
Said girl turned her head from the coffee maker. "Yeah?"
"It's me Hanji!"
Petra dropped the drink she was preparing. "H-Hanji?" Petra asked in disbelief.
"Petra!" Hanji yelled as she jumped over the counter to hug the girl behind it. Then, the blonde manager came out of a side room.
"Petra! You have orders to take and you!" Hanji turned and the manager froze, as did Hanji.
Hanji let go of Petra and jumped over to the manager. "Erwin!"
"Nice to see you Hanji." Erwin hugged Hanji back.
"What the hell is going on?" Levi asked, utterly confused by the entire situation.
"You don't remember us?" Petra asked, and Levi shook his head in response. "You don't remember me?" Petra asked, her eyes starting to water.
"You don't remember them?!" Hanji let go of Erwin and walked over to Levi.
"Why should I?" Levi asked.
"Because! These were your best friends! How could you not remember them?!" Hanji looked down at Levi.
"I have never met them before in my life."
"It's fine..." Tears were flowing down Petra's cheeks as she smiled sadly. She wiped her eyes and went to the coffee machine, preparing something quickly. "Eren! I got your hot cocoa!"
"Wait! Eren's here too?!" Hanji asked and walked to the boy who was at the counter getting his hot cocoa. "Eren!"
Eren turned to look at Hanji. "Hanji-san!" Eren smiled at the brunette.
"Is everyone here?"
"Dammit! Will someone please explain to me what the fuck is going on?!" Levi looked for anyone to explain.
"Corporal is here too?" Eren asked, slightly scared that Levi would kick him for asking such a stupid question.
"Corporal? What?"
"Levi doesn't remember us..." Petra said sadly as she prepared another coffee. "Kayla!" She called, and a businesswoman came up to the counter, placed some money on the counter and left.
"He doesn't? Not even you?"
"I know right! I thought for sure he'd remember at least Petra! They were in love for crying out loud! How do you not remember her?!" Hanji crossed her arms.
"I'm right here..."
"Well, we'll just have to make him remember!" Hanji said, an evil glint in her eyes.
"I'm scared..." Petra whispered to Eren.
"I'd be more worried about captain... Who knows what she'll put him through..."

A Couple Hours Later at The Gym
~~~~~
"Why is he doing this?" Petra asked Hanji.
"We're trying to jog his memory!" Hanji answered as if it was obvious.
"When I said to jog his memory, I didn't mean it literally!"
"Well then, you should have explained it better..." Hanji turned her attention to Levi, who was jogging on a treadmill.
"This is idiotic..." Levi stopped the machine, and hopped off of it.
"There has to be a better way to do this."
~~~~~
SLAP!
"Do you remember yet?" Hanji asked. This was the 14th time she had slapped Levi.
"No, now can we-" Levi was cut off by another slap.
"Do you remember now?" She asked once again.
"Hanji-san... I don't think it's working..." Eren tried to stop her from whatever she was trying to accomplish.
SLAP!
Petra flinched at the sound.
"Do you remember now?" Hanji questioned, readying her hand for another slap.
"No,"
Hanji started to swing her hand towards Levi's face, but it was stopped by a grip on her wrist.
"It's not working! Stop it!" Petra demanded, her hand still holding Hanji's wrist.
Hanji looked back at Levi, then at Petra. "Just let me hit him one more time~" She begged.
"No. Find out a different way."
~~~~~
A Couple Minutes Later
~~~~~
"I can't think of anything!" Hanji whined.
"Me neither, but we can't just slap him repeatedly." Petra reasoned.
"Why not?" Hanji asked, not even a little sign on her face that she was joking.
"Because, it's just not right! You can't just go slapping people until they give you what you want!"
"Why not?" Hanji and Levi asked.
"Really? You too?"
"Look lady, I have no idea who you, or any of you people besides Hanji, are. So I'm leaving."
"No! You have to know them! Mikasa! Armin! Eren go get Mikasa and Armin! And Petra! Go get Erd, Gunther and Oluo! Now!"
~~~~~~
"So captain don't remember anything?" Erd asked, summing up the situation.
"Did you try slapping his memory back?" Mikasa questioned.
"Actually, yes."
"So you don't remember any of these people? Your squad? The "shitty brats"? Any of them?"
"No. Now can I leave?"
"No! Not until you remember Petra and you two are happily married with 6 kids!" Hanji demanded.
"Hanji... He doesn't remember any of us... Let's just let him leave, pretend we never met..." Petra walked out of the gym.
"Why." Hanji slapped him. "Can't." Slap. "You." Slap. "Just." Slap. "Remember." Slap. "Her!"
"Listen shitty glasses. I just don't know who they are. Stop making a big deal out of it. We're done playing your little game." Levi walked out of the gym as well. He walked down the street with his hands in his pockets for a while.
Then, he saw Petra. Tears were flowing down her cheeks and her eyes puffy. She looked at him right in the eye, and her returned her gaze. Petra.
Levi froze.
"Petra Ral..." He said quietly to himself. Her name was Petra Ral. The only female member of his squad. The Special Operations Squad. The girl with the highest number of kills besides himself. The girl who had fought by his side. The girl he had fallen in love with.
"Petra Ral..." He said a bit louder, and Petra's eyes went wide.
"Y-you remember?" Petra asked, a smile beginning to form on her face. She wiped her eyes and ran towards him and hugged him. "Levi..."
"Levi..."
"Levi!"
Levi's head shot up. He turned to look around. Hanji was right next to his bed, in her military uniform. There he was, in his bedroom in the Survey Corps headquarters. And he realized. She was still gone. It was all a dream.
"Levi? I need your help..." Hanji asked, not making eye contact.
"With what?"
"I- Well... I had a dream last night... And it was one of the best dreams ever!"
"What was it about?"
"We were reincarnated! Everyone! Petra was there! And so were you and Oluo and Erd and Gunther! Everyone! And I had a question..."
"Before you ask... I had the same dream."
"Then the answer to my question must be yes!" Hanji smiled.
"What was your question?"
"I wondered if it was like a vision or something, and it must be if you had the same one! It has to be true!"
"Reincarnation isn't real. They're dead."
"I want to make a bet then! If we do end up getting reincarnated, you have to be nice to me for a whole week in that time!"
"Whatever. Go to bed."
~~~~~~
And there she was once again. The mysterious girl he had seen working at a coffee shop. She had light ginger hair and honey colored eyes. He thought she was beautiful, and apparently, his friend Hanji had noticed as well.

"Hi!" The girl greeted. "May I take your order?" She asked kindly.
"Anything." Levi looked at her name tag. Petra. Levi froze.
"Name please?"
"Petra... It's you!"
"Yeah... That's my name, but what's yours sir?"
"Levi."
Petra dropped her pen. She stared at him, her eyes starting to water. "Levi!" She jumped over the counter and hugged him. "You're here... I thought I would never see you again..."
"Well what's her name? Are you soul-mates?" Hanji asked as she came up to the counter
"H-Hanji?"
"Petra! Yes now Levi has to be nice to me for a week!" Hanji hugged Petra as well, forming a group hug.
"Really? That'll be a challenge." Petra laughed.
A couple seconds later the bell above the door rang, and a teenage male walked in. "Hey Petra -san, I'll have the original... Umm... What is going on?"
"Oh hey Eren! It's Levi and Hanji!" Petra released herself from the hug.
"Really?"
"Yup! Oh my gosh! Erwin! Get out here!"
"Erwin?" Hanji looked hopeful, and then turned her attention to the man who had walked out of another room.
"What's the issue- mmph!" Hanji had tackled him.
"Erwin!"
Levi hugged Petra from behind, placing his chin on her head.
"I see you gotten taller." Petra giggled.
"I see you haven't." Levi almost smirked. Almost.
"Shush up, I'm adorable when I'm short."
"And I wasn't?"
"Well..." Petra then laughed. "I'm just kidding! You were an adorable chibi man."
"Whatever. I was still taller than you."
"You're still not taller than Hanji."
"Shut up." Petra giggled then looked up at Levi. Levi looked down. "What?"
"I love you!" Petra smiled. She then stood up on her tippy toes and pecked him on the lips.
"Love you too."
