Alec stood at the door to the room of their children and listened to every single word without Rafe or Magnus noticing and his heart droppes. Magnus really thought they didn’t love each other anymore. In that second Alec got hit by his terrible behavior as a husband and father but what really hurt him was that after every fight and after every mean words he threw at Magnus head Magnus still defended him in front of their children. Alec felt also so broken that his whole behavior made Magnus think the love faded   because Magnus was the love of his life and there was no universe he would ever stop loving him. Magnus always supported him and made him to the happiest person on earth but the fear of not giving his family enough was ruining their perfect life and Alec knew he had to save it. He had to find a way to show Magnus that he still loved him and that he would do everything to make Magnus forgive him every mistake he did over the last years but to be honest Alec wasn’t sure if he deserved it. Thinking about all the nights Magnus was fallen asleep on the couch because he waited for Alec to come or all the family evenings he missed brought tears into Alecs eyes and one single tear escaped his eyes. Alec was pulled back to earth when his phone vibrated and he quickly pulled it out freezing when he read the remembering. <Wedding anniversary 10th Auguste> Alec couldn’t believe that he really forgot their wedding anniversary and now he knew it was time to get his shit together. Alec had to do something and he had to do it as soon as possible or he could throw his marriage in a bin but for tonight he gave Magnus space to cool down. Leaving their apartment Alec thought about where he should go and where he should start with fixing his problems he created over the last 5 years. If Alec was being honest he had no idea how Magnus put up with his asshole behavior for so long but that only proved Magnus still loved him and Alec needed to remember him on how much he was loved back.

Morning came faster than Magnus wanted and he left his bed starting to make coffee for himself and breakfast for his children a little confused when he realized Alec left his bag here. He wasn’t surprised that Alec wasn’t here because he thought it was just like always and Alec left early in the morning little did he know Alec left last night after their argument. It wasn’t really new that Alec slept on the couch after an argument so that he didn’t came to bed wasn’t an surprise and Magnus missed that. He missed sleeping next to his husband or having his arms wrapped around him when he woke up in the next morning. He missed it to wake up sore in the morning after a night full with the two of them making love but the last time they had sex was months ago and it was only because both had to let go of steam. Magnus loved it when Alec cuddled him after sex but the last time Alec went right to sleep on his own side of the bed having his back turned to Magnus and so did he. “Papa, do you really have to work so long today?” The 6 year old boy asked with sad puppy eyes and Magnus lifted him up smiling apologizing at his younger son while Rafe ate his breakfast peacefully. “It´s Tuesday…you know it´s my long day at work but your aunt Izzy promised she will go to the zoo with you two after you did your homework.” Magnus tried to cheer them up and tried to replace the empty place Alec created when he wouldn’t show up till the kids were already asleep. “Why is always Auntie watching over us? Can´t daddy make time for us?” Max asked with a small pout and Magnus wished so badly that his husband would make time for their children just to see them happy but he knew this wouldn’t happen. “He doesn’t love us anymore…we should just be happy with our Papa.” Rafe answered before Magnus got the chance to answer and he was a little shocked but Max teary cheeks woke him up. "Of course he loves you two. Rafe, don’t say things like that…you know it's not true.” Magnus scolded his elder son and he knew his words were true because Alec would always love their children no matter what. “Yeah yeah…alright. I will wait with Max at the parkspot we always do when Auntie picks us up.” Rafe answered putting his lunch box in his bag and closed it before he left to put on his shoes. “You gonna take pictures from the tigers for me?” Magnus asked his younger son who was still pretty upset by the words of his brother but after Magnus mentioned the tigers Max whole face lit up. Magnus had no idea how he should comfort his sons if he and Alec broke up but he didn’t want to think about that now. “Yes and I´ll take pictures of the little baby cows for Daddy. ” Max answered excitedly and Magnus was glad his son wasn’t mad at Alec for never being here…//tbc ohhh this ff will turn out so much different than you probably all think😅❤️💜🙈
