one , entertain the idea
"Would you like to go hunting...?" He looked to the smoky she-cat and she blinked with shock.
"I--yeah," she seemed confused, but unwilling to question him. He led the way away from the training glade. They made their way through the haze covered forest, the layers of nettles silencing their paw steps.
Stale scents of prey and of their clanmates filled their nose as they quietly walked side by side up an incline, moving away from the heart of their territory.
"Do you remember the coyote incident when we were apprentices together?" Ashflame spoke up in the silence, eyes ahead. Burnetstar nodded. "I had just turned six moons, and I wanted to impress my Crowwatcher by hunting on my own. I didn't know about the coyotes scented on our territory that day.... I should've died. But you were there. You saved me." Burnetstar remembered. But it wasn't just me who saved her. He was thrown back into the memory.
"I want my warrior name to be something cool, like Burnetstorm or Burnetflame!" A young, handsome Burnetpaw purred.
"I don't mind what my warrior name is, because it won't be long before they're all calling me Beetlestar," at his side pad a long-legged black and white Beetlepaw. They both perked up as a scream echoed nearby. They looked to each other before tearing off after it. Beetlepaw was faster with his light, leathe build, and burst through the bushiest first. Burnetpaw followed closely after, gagging at the scent of coyote. The wild dog circled a kit-fuzzed dark gray she-cat.
"Ashpaw! Hang on!" Beetlepaw yelped, looking around to form a plan. Burnetpaw bared his teeth and launched past his best friend, latching onto the coyote with his claws deep in it's fur. It yelped in pain, and shook him off. The rusty tabby was thrown off, but he rolled with the fall right to his paws. He arched his back as he stood in front of the quivering apprentice. The coyote, realizing they didn't have an easy snack, scampered off with blood dripping down
"Don't touch my clanmates!" He hissed. Ashpaw was frozen in her place, her large, green-blue eyes wide with fear.
"Don't worry, Ashpaw, it's okay now," Beetlepaw murmured, coming close. "Let's get you back to camp."
Silence remained in the air as Burnetstar and Ashflame neared a grove that hadn't been hunted at in a few sunrises. The warrior stopped walking. He turned to face her.
"You got your warrior name after saving me, and we never talked after. I just... I wanted to say thank you. I know some cats may disagree with what you've done, but I know you're a good cat who will fearlessly defend his Clan till his last breath. I'll follow you until my last breath because of it," she dipped her head. He gave a stiff nod.
Ashflame paused, seemingly distracted. She dropped low to the ground, and stalked forward. A plump gray-brown squirrel sat at a pine's base, nibbling at something it had found to eat. She circled around it in a way so that it's only escape would be toward the massive leader who had dropped low to the ground to blend in with the underbrush. Just before she could leap at the creature, it noticed her presence and farted away, however it went right into Burnetstar's awaiting claws. He bit down quickly, giving it a swift killing bite.
"Nice catch...!" She praised and he gave a soft smile.
"Let's get back to camp. By the time we get back, at least one of the apprentices will be done with their task."

The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden sheen over the well-hidden HazeClan camp. They hadn't been able to find much else in the territory during their return, and the fresh kill pile reflected the day's slow run of prey Burnetstar has only just pad into camp with Ashflame at his side when the large, thick furred Milkpaw bounded in. In her jaws, she had a massive hawk. He tipped his head to the side as she dropped it at his paws. Her eyes were bright with happiness.
"Eaglestar accepted your gift of peace, and sent me back with this hawk as a gift!" She looked in awe at the massive bird of prey. "I watched them catch it, so it's safe." She took a step back. Good. I'm sure from the gathering that Eaglestar has an idea of what I've done, yet he's welcoming my clan and my ideas.
"Add it to the fresh kill pile. Good work, Milkpaw." The apprentice dipped her head and started away. Burnetstar glanced over to make eye contact with Snakepaw. The tom had a small smile of success and pride, and he nodded.
"Excuse me," Burnetstar murmured and Ashflame nodded. The leader made his way over to Snakepaw. "Follow me," he meowed gruffly, leading the apprentice to his den. They sat in the half-light of the bush pressed against the High Boulder.
"Burnetstar," he greeted. "Without a shadow of a doubt, I know a cat who is plotting against you. There are a few cats who quietly dislike you, and rumors of a plot to get rid of you. Today, Leafbreeze told me that he and a few others are planning... an assassination."

Make sure to say the number for your vote (1 for the first, 2 for the second, 3 for the third). It just makes it easier to tally votes.
This one was pretty long because there wasn't much to decide on and I wanted to have a bittersweet flashback that showcases the difference between Burnetstar and Beetlestar.
Also whoever signed Ashflame dropped off the face of Wattpad bc all of their comments from all of my stories are gone sooo all of ashflame's info is gone. Ope. I used all of my detective skills to find them and they're GONE like I made a cover for them in my cover book but their comment to enter it is gone so I know for a fact their comments have been deleted. Really weird. So I'm just making up ashflame's history and age bc I can.
