"What kind of message..?" Her brown eyes were wide with both curiosity and fear at the daunting task of entering another clan's territory.

"I want you to bring him... a marigold flower," Milkpaw opened her mouth in an "O" shape with understanding. In the Clans, the marigold was long-held and widely known as a symbol of peace.

"I'll go now...!" She shoved past her mentor, Twilightwind, who let a small,

"W-wait, Milkpaw!" However, the apprentice was already gone. Snakepaw was looking off into the distance, thinking deeply. He has a harder task for sure. A more important one, to be honest. Snakepaw has a good head, though, and I know this task specifically is perfect for him. Ashflame murmured something to her sleek, dappled, black-furred apprentice, and he nodded. The tom turned, dipping his head to Burnetstar before heading out. The thick, smoky furred Ashflame padded back to Burnetstar's side.

"I told him to get started on his task. I think he's already got a hunch on who to go for." Pride glinted in her eyes as she watched her apprentice disappear.

"You trained him well," Burnetstar remarked. She ducked her head, swishing her tail.

"Thank you. I think by sundown the apprentices should be done with their tasks," she looked to him, and a warmth filled her eye. Her tail twitched and her paws kneaded at the ground. Oh. I know what this is. Ashflame... likes me. I think, at least. His mind went to his mate Icespark. He had gotten her to submit, but a coldness has frozen over their relationship. ...This could be entertaining. At least for today while I wait for Snakepaw and Milkpaw to finish.

>> "Would you like to go hunting...?" Just play with it a little, it won't hurt. Icespark won't care, and it's just hunting.
