Burnetstar gave the black fur between his ears a lick, and the new apprentice bounded forward to touch noses with Cinderleap as she stepped forward. The gray, black, and ginger tortoiseshell met Burnetstar's gaze briefly, a slight glimmer in the sea green irises.

"Rookpaw, Rookpaw!" Cheers and purrs erupted.

Archkit looked up expectantly to the leader as the cheering died down. The dark gray and white she-kit swallowed nervously, but held her feather, crooked tail high. Her green eyes were full of hopefulness as she looked out into the crowd of warriors.

"Archkit. You are now ready to become an apprentice. As leader of HazeClan, I, Burnetstar, give you the name Archpaw. To go with your curiosity and brightness, your mentor will be..."
