last update for the night because I only have, like, four chapters pre-written after this.

shit goes D O W N hill this chapter just a bit of a warning

"I'm going to beat the shit out of you!" Patrick yells, hitting Urie in the face, and he falls to the ground. People are crowding around them already. Blood is pouring from his nose. "Why?" He lowers his voice.

Brendon looks up at him, blood all over his face as he says, "I can give you better than Pete and Elisa put together," before he lies back on the ground and passes out.

Patrick blinks before he's pulled off of Brendon by Pete. Pete drags him away. He literally has to drag Patrick away because he's standing there motionless.

His best friend loves him. Is in love with him. While he has a girlfriend and a Pete to deal with. Yet Brendon feels the need to tell him a week before the baseball championship.

"Patrick," Pete snaps his fingers in front of Patrick's face, bringing him back to normal. "Why'd you hit him?"

"He said he could give me better than you and Elisa put together. You're the best I've ever known," He strokes Pete's cheek, making him freeze.

Everyone turns away from Urie to watch Patrick and Pete. "What.. what are you doing?" Patrick knows everyone's looking at the popular boy stroking the bad boy's cheek. They don't fit together, everyone can see. But maybe that's what makes them work.

"Something I should've done a long time ago. I'm going to be here for you forever, Pete. And I don't care who knows or what they think about it. I love you,"

Patrick leans in and tries to kiss Pete, but Pete moves his head. Patrick feels tears prick his eyes as everyone laughs at him. Pete's eyes are immediately filled with regret, but it's too late.

Patrick's gone. And his reputation is, too. Pete runs after him, but no matter how fast he runs or where he looks, he can't find Patrick.

And then Pete falls to the ground in sobs because he's just lost the only thing that makes him happy and keeps him sane. He's just lost his Patrick.

fuck this story. it's so sad.
