Quarantined

-if you've requested something, I haven't forgotten, it's still happening-

The team finished a mission. Great! Awesome! We love that!

However, in the process, they'd been exposed to a sort of virus. Like the flu, but it could bypass vaccines.  Not so fun. We don't like that so much.

Even though Kaldur, M'gann, Conner, and Wally couldn't catch the virus, they could still pass it on, so all six of them were hauled up in the mountain for a couple weeks. Their mentors couldn't even visit, for risk of causing an outbreak.

That's when the team realized that their, usually chill, and composed Robin, became a whiny toddler when he was sick.

"MmMM-I WannA Go hOme-mmm!" He half-whined, half- dry sobbed. He'd been saying that the entire first day. Lying on the couch, vomiting, and crying to anybody who would listen.

"Don't we all." Artemis croaked angrily from across the room. She didn't want to be around Dick anymore, but could barely sit up.

"mI hate this!"

"Me too."

Wally strutted in quickly. "Okay... It's not perfect, but I found some NyQuil in the cabinet..."

Dick was NOT drinking that. It was disgusting, and always set off his gag reflex; Bruce said that's because his mind assumes it's poison and tries to get it out of his system. Also, it was just SUPER GROSS. He would only took the capsules.

Artemis hummed in thanks and took the little plastic shot glass, downing it. She coughed a few times, but swallowed, and passed the cup back. "Thanks."

"Good girl." The redhead teased as he took the cup, and went to rinse it out. "Your turn next, Rob."

"No." Dick stated. He'd already puked his guts up, and wasn't Ready for a reprise just yet.

"Robin?" Kaldur asked, concernedly.

Wally groaned. "Really, this?" He turned to their teammates. "He does this every time!"

"What?"

"Refuse to take the medicine he needs." Wally looked pointedly at the thirteen year old, who looked away. The redhead marched over to him and held out the cup of Nyquil. "C'mon, open up."

"Geez, Rob, it's not that bad!" Artemis coughed.

Wally pinched Dick's nose shut (which didn't do much since he could barely breath through it anyways), and waited until Dick needed air. It took about thirty seconds until he gasped for breath. Wally worked quickly, tipping the cough syrup into his mouth, and tipping his head back until he was forced to swallow it.

Dick choked and spluttered as the syrup was forced down his dry throat.

"Feel better?" Wally asked. he always got impatient waiting for things to work. They should go his speed!

Dick shook his head angrily, well, as angrily as he could when he barely had the strength to move.

"Whatever, this stuff should knock you out pretty quickly." Wally glanced over the label.

"That's why you-" Artemis fell into dry coughing, eventually managing: "You're an asshole!"

"Yep." He nodded. "I am, but in my defence..." Wally flipped her off.

Conner took the bottle from wally and read it to himself "What's in this?"

"Dunno, but it works when you need to shut up your annoying invalids for a few hours."

"I think it's rich that you're calling us annoying." Artemis already felt herself getting sleepy.

"You guys are being really annoying, though. It's just the flu."

Dick scoffed sarcastically, which led him into a coughing fit. "you haven't been sick since you were eleven!"

"Yeah, even when I was eleven, I was more adult than you're acting at the moment."

"Wally." Kaldur gave a warning look, telling him not to upset the two sick teammates. "How are you feeling now, Robin?" He just pouted angrily, getting drowsy. "Artemis?"

"Bleh." She answered half heartedly, not committing to the joke. but, to be fair, it hurt to breath.

"Should we retake their temperatures?" M'gann asked.

Wally nodded cheekily. "Go ahead and check mine too, cause I'm pretty hot..."

Artemis shook her head slightly, falling asleep. "No your not."

"Heat hurts her, genius." Dick managed to squeak before passing out, leaving Wally and the nn-humans as the only ones awake.

"Well, that's them taken care of..." Conner stated. "They were really annoying."

"Conner!" M'gann elbowed him. "They're in pain!"

"I agree, but they are certainly easier to handle when they are well." Kaldur leaned over the back of the couch where Robin lay, he watched they boy's distressed sleeping face as Robin struggled to breath. The areas around his nose and lips were dry, having been rubbed red, and raw. They could see the sallow purple eyebags sticking out under his eyes. He rasped for breath, pitifully.

"I feel bad for him." M'gann sighed, leaning next to the team leader. "Sick, only thirteen and quarantined away from home..." She reached out and touched his forehead, her stomach felt ill from the congestion in the room, and the heat radiating off the boy's face. "I wonder if his parents are worried."

"I imagine they are." Kaludr said regretfully, Robin was surely going to get homesick over however long they had to stay.

Wally looked up at them from removing Dick's cape and utility belt, trying to make him comfortable. "Maybe we should call Batman."

"What can he do?" Conner asked.

The redhead shrugged. "I imagine he's worried."
