Since I left school I've struggled to get a job partly cause I'm going from hospitality to the fashion industry, but mostly cause I don't have enough experience.

In retail I have about a weeks worth when I left school.

I was lucky near the end of last year that my mum knew the manager of a craft store and they took me on as a causal and the pay was pretty good for that reason.

I had worked seven days of three hour shift during the Christmas period. Then at the start of this year they closed two of their stores so they were overstaffed.

I haven't been back since December, that's four months; granted I had started a new course and is going to it everyday. I still had the weekends though.

My mum had spoken to the lady who was my boss. She said hi as well wanted to mention that most causals get dropped after three months, I'm guessing of no work.

I spent all that time waiting for them to call me and it was all for nothing. I signed a six month contract for no point when they just decide to drop me without saying anything.

I should be grateful though, I have another weeks worth of retail experience cause of them. Big help that'll be, NOT.

There's no point complaining about it or getting angry. I knew this job wouldn't last. I just hoped to at least be told something, anything.

At least I have my course to focus on.

I'm doing a diploma in fashion design and merchandising. I'm loving it so far. I'm currently on break now but not for much longer sadly.
