Chapter 7

Jackie, Zoey, and Chelsea all walked to their next class together, since they all has the next class all together anyway.

"So, Chelz. . . what should we do tonight?" Zoey asked.

"Tonight?" Chelsea asked with a hint of confusion in her voice.

"Yeah, we always do fun get-togethers after school." Zoey said. "It's kind of what besties do."

"Take it easy on her, Z." Jackie said with a small chuckle. "She's still new. We got to ease her into our routines."

"I know that's she's still new to our friend group." Zoey said with a smile. "But it feels like we've known each other forever."

"It tends to feel that way sometimes." Jackie said. "I feel the same way with Ryan. We may have only been dating for a couple weeks now, but it does feel like it's been years."

"Ugh. . . you and your talk of love." Zoey said. "I wish I could get a boyfriend. . . or a girlfriend. How do you do it, Jackie?"

"Yeah, how did you land a hottie like Ryan?" Chelsea asked.

"Okay now. . . let's not get ahead of ourselves." Jackie said. "But I don't really know. We just came across each other one day and. . . I guess we just clicked."

"I'll say." Zoey said. "You guys clicked together like stud blocks."

"So. . . a typical love story then?" Chelsea said. "That's cute. Ryan sure is a lucky guy."

"Hell yeah!" Zoey said. "If that guy wasn't dating Jackie, I'd go all in myself! That's how hot she is!"

"You guys. . . stop it." Jackie said as a faint blush appeared on her face. "You're making me all flustered. Why are we even talking about this?"

"Well. . . cause I wanted some advice." Chelsea said.

"Oh?" Zoey said.

"I, um. . . I just wanted to hear your story." Chelsea said. "Cause, maybe. . . I don't know. . ."

"Our girl wants a hook-up!" Zoey said with a big grin on her face. "That's so cute!"

Chelsea blushed a bit as she nodded slightly.

"You. . . want to get back into that?" Jackie asked. "But I thought-"

"Your pep talk last night really inspired me." Chelsea said. "I really needed to hear that, and. . . I figured you were right. I just need to find the right person."

"Well. . . I don't really know what to tell you." Jackie said. "I'm not that good with relationship advice."

"I am!" Zoey said.

"Really?" Chelsea and Jackie both said at the same time. With Chelsea sounding excited about it and Jackie having a more sarcastic tone, as she didn't believe it.

"Yeah." Zoey said. "Come over to my place later and the girls will help you learn to love."

"This is gonna end in a disaster." Jackie said.

"Jackie, what's the matter?" Zoey asked. "You don't think I can handle it?"

"You can't rush these things." Jackie said. "The feeling will come naturally to you when you meet the right person. It just takes a little patience."

"And you said you weren't good with that kind of advice." Zoey said. "I feel motivated just hearing you say that! And I'm not even looking for a full-term thing."

As she said that, Zoey suddenly bumped into someone without paying any attention in front of her.

"Ah, I'm sorry." Zoey said. "That was my bad."

"That's okay." A calm voice said.

The person then turned around to reveal themselves to be a young man with brown hair. His name is Sullivan Wheeler. Zoey's crush.

"Oh, hey girls." Sullivan said with a smile on his face. "Headed to class?"

"Uh, yeah." Jackie said. "What else?"

"Right. . . my bad." Sullivan said with a chuckle.

"Uh, ooh. . . hey, Sully." Zoey said. "Uh, I mean. . . Sullivan. S-Sorry for bumping into you. . . I-I really didn't mean to."

"Someone's panicking." Chelsea said.

"She's like this." Jackie said. "You'll grow to get used to it. . . maybe."

"It's okay, Zoey." Sullivan said. "I wasn't paying much attention myself."

"Ehehe. . ." Zoey made a derpy noise as she began to blush a lot.

"Is she alright?" Sullivan asked.

"She'll be fine." Jackie said. "Her brain is just. . . like this. She'll go back to normal soon."

"Oh, that's good." Sullivan said with a smile. "Well, I'll see you around."

With that said, Sullivan walked off to head to his next class, leaving the three girls alone.

"Well, that went better than I thought." Jackie said.

"Why'd you make him leave?!" Zoey asked, angrily, as she suddenly turned to face Jackie and grabbed her by the hem of her jacket. "I was going to ask him to hang out later!"

"No, you weren't." Jackie said. "You froze in place and stood there like an idiot."

"Well, I was trying to find the right words!" Zoey said.

"Well, you can find them during class." Jackie said. "You don't pay attention anyway."

"Damn it!" Zoey said as she let go of Jackie and stormed off.

"What was that all about?" Chelsea asked.

"Don't worry about it." Jackie said. "She'll walk her anger off soon."

"So, you gonna come over tonight or what?" Zoey asked as she suddenly walked back to them. "I have lots of secrets to share with you!"

"See?" Jackie said. "No worry necessary."

"Alright, I guess it wouldn't hurt." Chelsea said.

"Yay!" Zoey said in an excited tone.

Suddenly the bell rang, meaning that they should be in class by now.

"Oh, shit!" Zoey said. "We're late!"

"We better get going now." Jackie said.

With that said, the three girls headed to class.
