Dear Diary,

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

No, it's not Christmas.

It's something better.

IT'S RYAN'S ROSS' BIRTHDAY!!

HE'S THIRTY ONE NOW WHICH IS KINDA GROSS BUT I'M WILLING TO PUT THAT ASIDE BECAUSE I LOVE HIM.

I texted Jessica today, "GUESS WHAT TODAY IS!?"

She sent, "A big Forever 21 sale? Seriously I got three tops that were really cheap, you should go."

I said, "I'm pretty sure I wouldn't find anything I like there but thanks for the heads up. TODAY IS RYAN'S BIRTHDAY!!!"

Jessica texted back, "Omg your boyfriend!! ;D :D"

That's when I remembered...

A few weeks back I messed with her and pretended Ryan Ross was my boyfriend for no reason other than entertaining myself. I guess she really believed it.

I texted her, "No, not my boyfriend Ryan. I'm talking about Ryan who used to be in Panic! At The Disco."

She answered with, "Oh yeah I already knew that."

To test if she really knew it was Ryan's birthday I said, "Oh... I can't believe he's turning 25!"

She responded with, "I know!! I thought 24 was crazy! Now I can't believe he's another year older!"

I tried not to throw my phone at the wall. Last time I did that (when Jessica insulted Patrick's weight) it ended in a nasty phone repair bill. I was annoyed with Jessica and like the jerk I am, I kept the Ryan-Ross-Is-My-Boyfriend joke going.

I texted her, "Actually my boyfriend Ryan broke up with me :'( "

She said, "OH NO!! Oh my gosh Ciara I am so sorry he did that! Was it mutual?"

I said, "No. He left me for some dude named Branden."

She said, "Clearly this fool is just an trashy loser without a brain. Anyone who turns you down is clearly confused. Don't worry you'll find someone <3"

I wasn't sure if I should be happy from her kind words or frustrated with her lack of knowledge. I settled for happy.

Minutes later, I got a text from Janelle. She said, "Ciara! You need to hear this! I can't stop laughing. Jessica just texted me that you and Ryan broke up!! She said he left you for somebody named Branden. Very clever, we all know Ryan would dump anybody for Brendon Urie."

I said, "NO WAY. NO. I LOVE HER BUT SHE ISN'T VERY SMART. WHAT DID YOU SAY??"

Janelle replied with, "I told Jessica, 'ugh I know! That man is a cheating jerk. I knew he would leave Ciara for Branden.' Then she flipped out thinking he cheated while you were dating. This is getting big, Ciara..."

Half of me regrets this and the other half wants to keep it going.

But again, I'm a jerk so this will probably last for a while...

Also, it's my birthday in three days (September 2nd, I'm one of the youngest kids in my grade) and Janelle keeps saying, "We have something huge planned for you." I'm not sure what it could be or who "we" is but I am so excited!!
