Dear Diary,

Alright diary, here it is: I'm ready to tell my family I am bisexual.

I'm super super nervous and none of my friends have gone through this since they're all straight (or so I think) so I have nobody.

Well, I'm almost positive Janelle isn't straight. Maybe she's also bi or something fancy but there is definitely a side to her that likes girls. If not a side, then all of her. She never wants to talk about sexualities or anything, it makes her really uncomfortable. Maybe one day I'll ask her why but not now.

I decided it wouldn't be a great idea to get advice from her so I went to Cody. I don't really know why I did it, we've only been friends for a few months but I built a strong trust and connection with him and I really trust him.

I texted him a little while ago, it went like this.

Me: hey Cody are you there?

Cody: Yeah :) What's up

Me: Listen I have something to tell you

Me: It's serious

Cody: okay serious mode on. No really, I'm ready, anything you need to tell me you can. I am here for you always

Me: Alrighty then, I'm bisexual

Cody: cool, no big deal.

Cody: You're still the same person to me. Literally nothing in my opinion on you has changed the slightest bit.

Cody: In fact, I like you even more because you're honest with me and I'm happy you told me <3

Me: Wow I can't think of anything to say, I am just so lucky to have great people like you support me

Cody: Of course I support you, there's nothing you could do that would make me dislike you, you're absolutely amazing.

Me: awww you're gonna make me cry! I just don't know how to tell my family.

Cody: Do it just the way you did to me. Just plain and simple, no shortcuts. I know you can do this. And if they are upset, I am here to support you every step of the way. And Janelle and Jessica, Evie, Charlotte, the rest of your gang, we all love you inside and out.

Me: Ahhh I know I have you guys but this is my family, I have to face them everyday.

Cody: Ciara, you are one lot the strongest girls I know. I have zero doubt you can get through this. Coming out can be basically the hardest part of smeone's life but I believe in you.

Me: Alright, thanks so so much Cody, I'm gonna tell them tomorrow because it's getting late. Thanks for being awesome, I knew you'd be a great help

Cody: anytime :) Good luck tomorrow, you got this. Call me after you tell them so I know you're ok

Me: Hopefully....... And I will, thanks!

Cody: hey as long as you're still into guys ;)

Me: ...

Me: ...

Me: Boy go get a life

Cody: I'm sorry I'm sorry, serious mode is off now

Anyway, after our texts I feel a lot better. I am worried for tomorrow but I know I have to have some faith in my family. I'll be back with updates tomorrow.
