That's right, being honest is virtuous

But this time the axes have been rearranged

That golden axe was dropped into the lake

With only iron and silver to tend

That Cinderella told so many lies

She too was devoured by the wolf in the end

What should I do? The same trap is mine

Surely I'll be eaten by that wolf too

Regret will chase me 'till the end of time

That poison apple was my own fault, it's true.

Our lives might be riddled with tragedy,

Won't you save me from that reality?

In English class, we're studying Shakespeare (specifically Romeo and Juliet), so one of our assignments is to write a sonnet. And what better song to base it off of than Romeo and Cinderella? (Idea courtesy of InsertCringeyName1 ... idk why it's not letting me tag you, sorry ;w;).

Our teacher said that it was fine to write multiple sonnets that had an overarching story so here it is lol

Also my dad read it and when it got the part about Cinderella being eaten by the wolf he was like "where did that come from ._. "
