Okay so, small rant about writing fanfiction scenes. 

Just specific scenes of a longer story (not oneshots, this is different).

I feel like recently a lot of my ideas are based around just a couple of scene ideas... like a cute scene between two characters, or within a certain friend group, or something like that. And then I want to make a backstory for that scene, and then add in what happens after that scene. 

Pretty soon, I have this whole novella-sized idea... but since I'm already working on a few projects, I can't start the new ones for a while. 

This has been happening more and more! I wish I had more time to write. And it's not just fanfiction, but ideas for originals and stuff too. 

Does that happen with you guys? How one scene just blows up into a huge story? I feel like that's almost how the majority of my stories start. It's a bit strange, but I'm not complaining.
