At first I thought it was raindrops, but it sounded much heavier.
Finally after like 10 minutes, I got up to see what it was.
To my suprise, it wasn't raining. Though I heard loud noises from downstairs. It sounded like someone was banging on the door.
I crept downstairs, trying to be quiet. I barely even breathed. It must have been the quietest I've ever been, in my life. It was hard too, since my legs were shaking. I peered around the corner, and in the window was a tall figure.
I couldn't see his face, but I knew it wasn't someone I know.
The figure moved back to the door, and began pulling the handle. See I am smart, because my doors are locked, unlike those horror film people. When he was busy trying to get the door open, I ran into the kitchen to get the phone.
I ran back up the stairs while dialing 911.
When I got to the tip of the stairs I froze. I heard a noise from downstairs.

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, into the bathroom. I struggled, but managed to lock the door. A woman was on the line, she asked for my adress and what was happening. My voice cracked multiple times, and it felt like years that I sat there, in the corner. I was crying and the lady tried to comfort me. My cries sounded so ugly too, I was trying to cry, but make it quiet. It ended up like sounding like death.
I heard crashes from downstairs, things breaking.
I sat there rocking, for a few more minutes,and that was when I heard sirens.
Soon I heard yelling, and a few more violent crashes. Luckily there was no gunshot. I was still in shock though, because when the cops came and tried to get me out, I almost couldn't open the door.
They advised that I should stay at someone else's house, until they had more information on this guy.
They had caught him, yes, but just in case, they told me my house wasn't safe.
I texted my mom about everything, and she gave me the okay to stay at Andy's house.
I trudged over, and he opened the door. He said he heard the sirens. Before he could finish, I jumped into his arms. He held me, and for the first time that night,I felt safe.
