My First Class
Ronald and I hurried into the foyer to escape the crowd of birds desperately trying not to be late for class. I looked on my class sheet that Mr Wing gave me. "I've got 'the basics of flying' class." I said to Ronald. "I have been at this school longer. I'm in a different class. Anyway, bye! And good luck with 'King'!" Ronald said as he walked off. King? Who's King? I thought to myself as I walked into a classroom. When I walked in all the birds were mucking around. "Settle down class." A teacher said. Still noise. "I SAID SETTLE DOWN!" The room was finally silent. "I'm Mr Talon. As you may have noticed I'm a kingfisher so for short you can call me 'King'." He chuckled to himself. So that's what King stranded for. For his size, he was pretty small. Here is a picture of him I stole from the year book.
"Most of you are sent here because you have no clue how to fly. Some of you are just sent here because there is plenty to study on. So for those who can fly, they are here for a reason and they will participate in all the activities." King said. We went outside to practice some lift offs. "Okay everyone. Start with lining up behind the ostrich." Everyone laughed at me and King realised his mistake. "Sorry about that." He said. "Now if everyone would start off by flapping his or hers wings. That's right! Keep it going. You're nearly there and- oh." King looked around to see not one bird in the sky. "That's a shame. Maybe Mrs Feather is available. I need to work on how to sort these kids out" King mumbled to himself before telling everyone to go to room 16. The whole class whispered to each other in confusion as we headed back into the building. Gotta go. I'll write more later. - Andy
