Chapter 7
Before I start this chapter I just wanted to say that my cover was made by Unevenfeets :)

"What?" I asked, dropping my bag.
"I'm in love with you okay?" Sam sighed, sitting down on his bed and letting his head fall into his hands.
"You told me you weren't." I replied, sitting down next to him.
There was a phase I went through a few years ago. Sam was the only person I wanted to be my boyfriend. I obsessed about it but even though we were best friends, he didn't want anything to do with me...in that sense anyway.
When I finally asked him how he felt about me he said "I've never been in love with you, nor will I ever be in love with you."
"I waited for you. For a long time." I said.
"I know and I'm sorry. I've always loved you, but recently...I've been falling IN love with you." He explained.
"Hey. Look at me." I whispered, tilting his head up to look at me. "I will always, always love you but I'm trying to figure some things out right now."
Sam tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear and rested his forehead on mine.
"Sam?" Mrs. Judy asked, knocking on Sam's door.
I stood up as she walked in, her short blonde hair falling into her eyes as she walked.
"Will Diana be joining us for dinner?" She added, looking from me to Sam.
"No. I was just on my way out." I answered, leaning forward to give her a hug. "See you tomorrow." I mumbled to Sam.
~~~
"What is it?" Liam asked, sitting down next to me at the skate park.
"Sam told me he was in love with me." I mumbled, resting my head on my knees.
"Yeah."
"You're not surprised?" I replied, searching his brown eyes.
"No. It's always been obvious. I just wasn't sure when you would figure it out." He answered, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"I just don't know what to do anymore. I love him like a brother." I sighed.
"Did you tell him that me and you are...?" Liam asked, trailing off.
"Yeah but he has it in his mind that you're some man whore or something." I replied.
"Why?"
"Because he read some stuff about you online." I said, pushing my skateboard down the ramp with my foot.
"Oh. Yeah reporters can be brutal." He mumbled, running a hand over his short hair.
"Let's get out here. Out of reality." I answered, standing up.
~~~
"What is this place?" Liam asked, peeking through the door.
"Just an old house. I found it one day when I 'ran away' in the 7th grade." I replied.
"This place could be beautiful with some paint and new walls." He smiled.
"Yeah, it's my dream house." I said.
"You know, we could fix it up." He answered.
"I would die if we could fix up this damn dump." I laughed.
Liam smiled and sat down on a dusty bench left by the previous owners.
"So what are you going to do about Sam?" He asked, patting the seat next to him.
"I'm going to tell him that I'm...involved with somebody else." I sighed, taking the seat beside him.
"What if he takes it the wrong way?" He replied.
"Oh well."
~~~
"I'm going to take you on a real date now." Liam said, pulling me close to his side.
"You know, I never pictured someone like you going for a girl with purple hair, and a bitchy attitude." I smiled.
"Someone like me?" He laughed.
"A popstar guy, wanted by every girl and envied by every boy." I exaggerated a small smirk playing on my lips.
"Oh whatever. I love your purple hair and bitchy attitude."
"Good, cause it's not going anywhere." I replied.
We stopped outside the yogurt place from our first disastrous date. He pulled the door open for me and I walked inside.
The fluorescent lights lit up Liam's face as he looked at all the strange yogurt flavors and toppings: he looked like a little kid on Christmas.
"What's your favorite kind?" Liam asked.
"Cake batter." I replied. "You?"
"Same." He smiled.
"Oh my God...is that...?"
I turned around and my eyes grew wide as a mob of teenage girls from my school rushed over.
"Liam." I warned.
He turned around and we shared the same expression.
"Okay. Date's cancelled. Let's go." He answered, grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards the exit.
"Liam wait!" Some girl called.
I ran behind him as we made our way down the crowded pavement. We turned a sharp corner into an empty car lot.
"Where are we going?" I breathlessly asked, looking behind me.
He didn't answer, still dragging me behind him.
After we ran through the vacant parking lot we came to a sunflower field.
"I think they're gone." I sighed, stopping and looking around.
"Sorry about that. I forgot to put on my hood." Liam laughed.
"You're so fast." I replied, taking deep breaths.
"I have a lot of practice." He said.
"Obviously." I answered, rolling my eyes.
"Wow. The stars are beautiful out here." Liam smiled, laying down beside some flowers.
"What the actual hell are you doing?" I laughed, watching him shift his hands behind his head.
"I'm looking at the stars. I never get to see them. The city is always too lit up." He sighed, closing his eyes.
I didn't say anything as I took a seat beside him, looking at the small stars, glowing for thousands of miles away.
"This is better than yogurt." I said, laying down.
"Agreed." Liam laughed.
He opened his eyes and grabbed a flower.
"For you my beautiful...rebel." He smiled, tucking it behind my ear.
"Thanks." I replied, kissing his cheek.
~~~
"What are you kids doing out here?"
My eyes snapped open and I sat up. Had we seriously fallen asleep out here?
Liam's eyes fluttered open and he looked around.
"Sorry sir." He mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"You get out of here before I call the authorities." The man grumbled, limping back into his house.
"Come on." I said, standing up and offering him my hand.
He accepted it as I tried to pull him up. Liam took the opportunity to pull me down.
"Ass!" I screamed, mud smearing on my pants.
Liam's laugh filled the air, causing me to break out in a smile.
"You know what?" He asked.
"What?" I replied.
"I think I want you to meet the other guys."
