Chapter 4

So is it bad that I might have a little, tiny, itty-bitty crush on Liam? Yeah I know, thousands of girls do but they don't even know him! I don't really know him either so...

No. I can't fall for this guy, he's bad news. I mean, he's actually quite nice, but-

No. No, no, no! Should I follow my heart or my brain? By heart I mean endless black hole. I try not have feelings, it would ruin the street cred.

I dropped all my thoughts and continued rinsing out my hair. I can't believe I'm having some dumb ass argument about Liam WITH myself. I'm not a physcotic freak.

"Diana!" My mother screeched.

I felt myself cringe as I followed her voice downstairs.

"Yeah?" I asked, stepping into the kitchen.

"Show Liam to the upstairs bathroom." She replied.

Liam stepped into veiw and gave me a small smile. I rolled my eyes and gestured for him to follow me.

"This is the guest bedroom. There should be clean clothes in the dresser and the bathroom is that door." I said, pointing to a blue door.

"Okay, thanks." Liam smiled.

"Yeah no problem." I mumbled, starting to walk back to my room.

"Diana? I had fun tonight." He called, his voice travling through the small room.

I nodded and turned around, going to my room for sure this time. When I made it in, I sat on my bed,my black running shorts rubbing against my leg. I opened my laptop and pulled up Pretty Little Liars.

"Can I come in?" I heard Liam ask from outside my door.

"Yeah." I answered, pausing the show.

Liam came in wearing a pair of my brother's old checkered pajama pants and no shirt on. I made myslef focus on his face and stay away from the intricate tattoos covering his skin.

"I'm going to leave in a few minutes. I just wanted to say bye." Liam told me, leaning against my wall.

"Okay. Thanks for throwing pie at me." I smirked.

"You're welcome. Hey, if you ever want to hang out again call me sometime." He said, placing a small piece of paper on my desk.

"Sure." I smiled.

Liam waved and closed my door on his way out.

"No Sam. I won't do it." Caroline giggled, pushing him away.

I crossed my arms and tried not to throw up at the scene happening in front of me. Caroline declared us "friends" again and then Sam proceeded to try and get her to pull a prank on one of the teacher.

"If she won't do it I will." I told them.

"But you could get in trouble." She whispered, her blue eyes wide.

"Oh come on." I replied, taking the screwdriver from Sam and walking over to the teacher's chair.

I checked to make sure he was still outside and began unscrewing the screws just enough that they would give out when he sat on them.

I finished and walked back over to Sam and Caroline.

"There. Done." I snapped, handing the tool back to Sam.

"What's her problem?" Caroline mumbled.

"Do you really want to know what my problem is?" I asked, turning back around.

"Diana." Sam warned.

"My problem is you. You are the reason my life has sucked since middle school. I really don't need your no-it-all attitude invading my life." I continued.

I took one look at Caroline's shocked face and the way Sam was glaring at me and stormed out of the classroom. I rushed down the hallway just as my teacher emerged from the bathroom. I grabbed my bookbag from my locker and kept walking until I was outside.

"God!" I screamed, pulling at my long hair.

My phone vibrated in my pocket but I already knew it was Sam calling to go off on me because his wimpy little bitch of a girlfriend, can't handle the truth.

"Can you meet me somehwere?" I asked into the reciever.

"Yeah. Text me the directions."

"Thank you." I replied.

After about 30 minutes of just sitting on the sidewalk, I decided to get the hell out of there.

I was almost to the small skate park near my neighborhood, when I thought I would need some company, so I called the last person I expected to call. Liam.

"Hey!" Liam called, walking over.

"Thanks for coming. I needed some company." I smiled, shading my eyes from the afternoon sun. Or maybe it was Liam's smile.

NO.

"What happened?" He asked, sitting down next to me.

"Caroline was being a stupid whore." I sighed.

"No need to explain." He laughed.

"Can you board?" I asked, changing the subject.

I pulled my orange skateboard from my backpack and set it down on the concrete.

"Only once when I was 15 and I fell and scraped my face." Liam replied.

"Smooth." I smirked, standing and rolling down the small hill.

"How long have you been doing it?" He asked, watching as I rolled around.

"A few years." I answered. "You want to try?"

"I don't know..."

"Come on!" I smiled, pulling him down the hill.

He stepped on my skateboard and steadied himself before I gave him a small push. Within seconds he was falling off and I was doubled over in laughter.

"Oh my God!" I squealed, pointing at him and giggling.

"Oh shut up." Liam mumbled.

"You are ridiculous!" Sam yelled, storming into my room.

"If you're going to come in MY house and yell at ME, then save it." I replied, going back to my overdue history paper.

"Fine! I would rather have Caroline anyway!" He shouted.

Ouch.

"Just leave." I mumbled, turning around so he couldn't see my red eyes.

It seems stupid to cry over something like that but Sam is the only person who has stuck by me since we were little and now he was turning against me because of some stupid girl.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." He sighed.

"Get the hell out." I told him.

I heard my door close and I tried to focus on my paper.
