I run quickly to try and find a place to hide from him. I am afraid that he may find me if I hide in a place that I have hidden before so without thinking twice I hide under the sink in a large cabinet. I can hear my glass vases breaking from downstairs and I hear him scream my name but tonight I refuse to answer...I need to find a way out. I hear Alex's heavy footsteps carry him up to where I am, I remain silent as he runs throughout the hallways and bedrooms. I peak though the crack of the two doors and then I see him.... the man I once loved I have now grown to hate. He stands there with bloodshot eyes and a smirk on his face as he looks to where I'm hiding.
"Nikole?" He calls out
"Come out wherever you are..." He continued looking in the shower and the small closet next to it.
" I know where you are, you might as well come out" he chuckles as he stands in front of where I am.

My heart pounds loudly as he reaches for the handle of the door and pulls it open slowly. I quickly go into panic mode and as soon as I'm fully exposed to him I jump pushing him backwards and causing him to fall under me.
" Found you. Now are you ready to go and get me my money?"
"No Alex, I m done with you. We are over." I reply

He then grips my arm and slams me on the ground to where I am underneath him
"You can't break up with me. I own you bitch , now go out there and get my fucking money." He screams slapping me across the face.

I hold my face for a second and then punch him in the stomach causing him to roll off of me. I then get up and strike him across the face with my four inch stiletto. I turn around in satisfaction until he grabs my ankle causing me to fly forward. He crawls over me and punches me in the face several times causing my nose and lip to bleed, once he gets tired of punching I pull his hair to where he is away from me and start to punch him back. He falls to the ground once again and I run downstairs and out the back door far away from the house.

I run under the street lights that illuminate's the road. My heels soon start to hurt so I stop for a second to pull them off and continue to run I see a flickering light from ahead and I run towards it
