Search for a Partner/ Enter Leonidas

It felt as if Dia was watching the world  for the very first time. A soft breeze brushed against her golden hair. Everywhere she looked she saw kids with their bakugan partners. It seemed that friendships were forged through brawling. If she could become a brawler then maybe she could make some friends.

"Well if I do become brawler, then what kind of faction should I specialized in?" Dia asked herself as she saw the factions of various bakugan.

There were currentlt five known factions: Pyrus, Aquos, Ventus, Haos, Darkrus. Each of the faction bears an elemental power. Brawlers all around utilizes one of those very factions in both their bakugan and fighting style. Pyrus Bakugan are fire attribute and can harness the essence of flames. Aquos Bakugan wield the element of water and are known to fight as tricky as the ocean's movements. Ventus Bakugan call upon nature powers to aid them in battle. The Haos Bakugan who have been blessed with the power of light. Many also say that Haos Bakugan are the wisest among the other factions. Finally the Darkrus Faction Bakugan who have fully embraced darkness they were born from. Though rumors have been spreading around the web about a supposedly six faction, but nothing more is known about them or if they even exist at all.

"Maybe Haos is a good choice. I'm not too keen on a head on assault and they can offer advice. Though I really take any Bakugan who want me as a partner" Loneliness is something Dia could bear no more.

Dia felt as if she were alone even though she was surrounded by kids her age.  Like she was a pebble among a group of  rare gemstones.

Prehaps only those rare gemstones are allowed to wield Bakugan. If that were the case should she?

She had been filled with doubt ever since those terrible past years. Since then she seemed to be trapped in an endless fog who holds in negativity. A spell she longed to be free from.

"Can I truly find the strength to be a....brawler?" She asked as her heart beated faster and in panic.

She needed a sign! Something to help her to know that she can become a brawler.

JUST

ONE

SIGN

Then it was when the sign she had asked for. It was a clear on from forest near her. The one her uncle CLEARLY told her NOT to enter! From the depths the forest came a loud monstrous roar. One that could only come from a monster.

Dia was scared of the intensity of the roar.  A feeling resonated in her bones, that howl was one to be feared. Like those haunted monster movies that she was scared of on the movie nights with uncle Jasper. How he could watch those is something she'd never understand.

How he could watch those movies about evil spirits coming back to haunt those who harmed them in their lifes. Dia had nightmares for weeks!

It was faint but Dia could hear pain in the monster's cry. Like it was a cry for help underneath the roar which is meant to bring fear to others.

Dia felt sorry for whatever made that cry. Even if it was a monster, could she truly ignore such a cry. Monsters feel pain too after all.

All that stood before the two was the very forest she was told not to enter. Here Dia had a choice. She had two options: 1. Help the monster then get yelled by her uncle. Since he just has a strange sense of knowing. 2. Just walk away.

Dia made her decision as she stepped into the vibrant green grass that was shadowed by the dark oak trees which provided shade to make it seem like it was in constant night. Ominous sounds and freezing winds made it seem like she was entering the very forest as Hanzel and Gretel did.

Only difference was that Dia was making her way through the forest all alone.

Dia followed the echo of cries that called to her. Each becoming more clear as she grew closer.

"I'm coming. Just hang on just a bit longer. I don't know who are. Though you call me for a reason" Dia spoke as if she was talking to the owner of the voice. Even if she had no clue who or what she was going to.

For all she knew she could be led to a monster like her uncle taunted her with on Halloween. Well she couldn't beat Frankenstein or a Werewolf. Though she was kind of sure that she could face Dracula. Well maybe land a punch.

It was then she could see something in the distance. Dia had to blink a few times to see if she was imagining things but it was clear that her eyes were not mistaken for what was before her.

Only a few feet in front of her was a labatory It appeared to be a military style lab with how it was made. It was big, not big enough to be seen outside of the forest but big enough to keep a place hidden. There were no windows. Anything resembling windows were bolted down by titanium steel. The only entrance that could be seen was a steel red door which had a single guard watching over it.

"Is this where you are?" Dia asked as she hid herself behind a tree, keeping her voice low so the guard wouldn't know she was there.

Once again the roar echoed and it seem to call out to her to free it from whatever this place was doing to it.

What was this place exactly? Why would it be here? The most important question was what were the people inside doing to the one calling out to her?

Here she thought she get scolded for going into the forest. She definitely be getting scolded for this by her uncle.

Dia was ready to break into that lab and free the one in pain. She knows that no one should have scientists poking them and running experiments. NO HUMAN OR CREATURE should ever have to bear such a fate!

It would probably be the most risky thing she ever had to do in her life. Even now she could feel her body tremble.  Her legs begging to give in. Like they didn't want to relive this situation again.

Yet she wouldn't leave one to face that fate. NOT WHEN SHE COULD HELP THEM! Just as her uncle and the other family member saved her. Now she would return the favor for this creature.

"Look out, cause I am coming to save you" Dia promised as she tried to think of a way to get past the guard.

Inside a scientist typed on a computer. His boss had just stepped out to collect a rare sample that their system detected. He stared to the wall that had a protective glass cover. Within the glass wall was a project. One that the boss had spend two long years molding and perfecting to his goal.

In a containment capsule was a bakuball that was their most top and secret project. It was only known by it's project name.

LE0

Unknowns to them, the bakugan was seeking help. Their savior was only behind the front door.

************************************
As the voice continued to call to her, Dia tried to figure  out to get pass the guard at the front door. From the looks of him, he seemed to be a serious type that would show mercy if he found her.

How could a child like her gets pass him?! She doubts throwing a rock in the opposite direction and she sneaks pass while he's distracted. UGH!!! What can she do?!

"Hey Richard, go for a burger run" A guard from inside called out to  Richard who was guarding the front door.

"I'm suppose to guard the front gate. Boss made it clear that we must not leave our posts. I ain'tgetting in trouble cause you get the munchies!!" He snapped back.

"Come on dude! I covered  you when that report got messed up. YOUR REPORT that is. "Monark" nearly wring out my neck! You owe me one! Now get your butt moving and pick us up some burgers!!" The guard yelled back. Couldn't Richard do a bro a solid?!

"Grrr!!! FINE. Though if boss find out then I'll be the one to wring your neck, not "Monark"!" Richard then left to shut up his loudmouth and clear this dumb debt.

Dia eyes widen at what she just witnessed. How lucky could she get?! Now was her chance!!

She had to got through floors and sneak pass about twenty guards.

Whoever hired these guys must not know to hire dependable or the guards who don't really take this job seriously.

Much like the grunts of Team Rocket at times. Thankfully she hasn't come face to face with any yet.

Sadly she just had to jinxs it! WHY DID SHE HAVE TO JINX IT?!

Before her was a pale green hair woman with bright red eyes. She wore a golden eye liner that glittered and flakes off like pollen spores. Her skin was a pale white that look as if she wasn't getting enough sunlight. She wore a dark green work dress suit that has a diamond butterfly brooch on her left suit corner. Her suit tails resembling ones of a butterfly. She wore blackish green glows that were made of what appears to be leather yet it wasn't truly leather from the looks of it. Could this be the "Monark" that the guards were mentioning?!

"My, my, looks like we have a little sneak in our base. It seems that Stuart really forgets that boss's orders are clear! I'll have words with him later" She tighten her fists then sighed.

Though she only blinked for a second and the child was gone! What did she have?! Was this child a ninja?!

Monark sighed as she went to search for Diana. She could not allow this to trouble the boss. He already had alot on his plate.

Dia managed to lose "Monark". How was a miracle! Really she must be watched over by the Luck God or something.

If she got home, then maybe leftover luck would help her get pork chops and fries for dinner. Mission first though.

She arrived at the door that was labelled LE0. It was there she could heard the voice much more clearly. As if she could make out a voice.

".....H....e.....l...p....M...e...."

Dia opened the door to find the capsule containing the bakuball.

"A bakugan.... A bakugan called out to me?" Dia reached her hand for the capsule.

There was a field around it. One that held an energy that was powerful yet familiar to her. She couldn't figure out why, but she felt so use to it. Her hand passed through the field as she freed the bakugan from it's containment.

The bakugan rolled slightly in her hand then became still. Without thinking next, she ran home. Not stopping for a single moment.

"No! NOOO!! GUARDS GET THAT GIR-" Just as Monark was ready to give the order to hunt Dia down, someone stopped her.

"Cancel that order" The boy entered the lab.

The boy had silverish white hair with red and black highlights  He had a pale golden yellow eye while the other half of his face was covered  by a black crystal mask that made his other eye appear like a demon's. He wore a black labcoat that he wore over a royal purple military vest that had six pockets that appeared to store something important. His black jean pants only seemed to match his black work shoes. His hands covered by black gloves that's knuckles had three crystals on it.

"Marduk..." Monark spoke his name as if she was amazed by his pressence.

Who was this child?! Famous?! Royal?! Those kids who are just well known despite not knowing anything  about them, yet somehow they have an army of fans.

"Monark has a point, Marduk. All your efforts are in LE0. Are you really going to all that girl to take away two years worth of work?" A strange Bakugan went to Marduk shoulder.

"Vladator, when I crafted that containment capsule, I made it so only I or that Bakugan true partnet could get him. Looks like that girl may be the one to demostrate his abilities. For now, leave them be" Marduk reassures the bakugan on his shoulder.

Monark and Vladator accepted. They never questioned Marduk words or reason. For now they leave the little thief alone.

With Dia, after getting the full extend of her uncle rage. Dia finally got to her bed where she welcome the comfy bed with open arms. For the bakugan she had saved. She placed it on a mini pink pillow that was on the desk.

Just when Dia was finally gonna get some sleep after all she had to go through. The bakugan growl had caused her to jolt up.

"UGH!! DARN HUMANS! WHERE AM I?!" The bakugan unrolled to reveal that he was a dragon.

From the looks of it, he appeared to be from the Haos faction. Though she never saw any Haos Bakugan with crystals covering most of their body.

"Are you okay?" Dia asked. Careful not to upset or anger him more than he already was.

"YOU!!" He faced her then he seemed to relax a bit. Seeing her seemed to calm him. "You were the one who save me? A weak girl saved me.....As a reward, you shall be my partner"

Dia could only nod. Unable to know whether to feel happy or fangirl level excited.

"My name is Diana Jenkins! Though please call me Dia!" Proper introductions were the best way to start a partnership.

"YOUR NAME MEANS NOTHING.  I AM LEONIDAS. YOU ARE TO AID ME IN BRAWLS. I SHALL SHOW THE WEAKLINGS THAT I AM THE MOST POWERFUL BAKUGAN EVER" Leonidas seemed to be the prideful type.

Either way, this is how the two met. The very start of the partnership the two will soon build.

That is after Dia week of house arrest is over. Hopefully Leonidas had patience. He has too, right?
