Forging New Bonds! Awaken Diamond Justice

Never before had Dia's room held such a gloomy atmosphere, the white walls could turn pitch black by all the negativity held inside. It felt that the diamond designs on those walls came to life. Laughing at her for losing her one chance at friends. Dia laid her face first on her pillow. Dried tear stains were visible despite how she tried to conceal them. The song "Numb" played on what appeared on what seemed like an endless loop. Leonidas watched sadly as he flew to what caused her sorrow.

True to their word, the Awesome Ones released a video telling everyone what Dia apparently did to Dan Kouzo. She was nothing but a girl who allowed her monstrous Bakugan on a short breakable leash. That she only gain their trust into a false sense of friendship, only to stab them in the back later. Spouting insults and words which were poisonous daggers to Dia's already damaged heart.

They did nothing wrong! This was all a misunderstanding! A lie! A LIE!

Worse thing about all of this....

The worse thibg to come from all of thid? Not being able to visit Dan in the hospital. Every time that she tried to, an Awesome Ones member would be there to chase her off. Dan was the sole person that could clear her name. Either he still was not awake if he were unconscious, or he felt betrayed from being attacked by that Leonidas look a like.

Another blow to Dia's heart.

Leonidas wasted no time in destroying the laptop which played the accursed video. It be an understatement if it was not a pleasure to shut those brats voices up. They had gone too far! Dia did not deserve this kind of treatment. THE VIDEO NOT ONLY MADE LIFE HARDER. THEY MADE DIA CRY!! NO ONE MAKES HER CRY!! NO ONE!!!

After Dia stood up for him, he vowed to become a true partner to her. He had not left her side since she got home. Answering Jasper who had been worried sick at the state she came back in. His blood seemed to boil much more once he learned what happened.

Leonidas could pratically see the oni horns growin in as Jasper looked ready to rampage.

How could they.....?! Dia heart was already so frail from the nine years of suffering. She just started to recover, to finally smile with genuine happiness at long last. All that progress stripped and cast into the fire of destruction. Jasper knows his niece. He knows that she would never do this kind of thing to anyone. Especially ones she calls friends. He could only pray that once her innocence was proven, that those "Awesome Brawlers" would realize the horrible mistake they made.

Then he personally punish them for emotional damage to Dia heart!!! He never dare harm a child. However he was willing to make FIVE exceptions to this.

THEIR PARENTS WOULD HEAR FROM HIM ONCE DIA WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY! JUST WAIT TILL "HE" LEARN WHAT THEY DID TO HER!!!!

It was a shocking surprise to Jasper and Leonidas when Dia decided to go on a walk outside or just go somewhere. Leaving the house with everything going on was not the best idea. However it seemed that Dia could no longer be in that room which now felt like a prison. Wanting fresh air to try and calm herself down from all this drama.

From the pain even if only for a little while.

"Are you sure, Dia? Kids thst follow the Awesome Ones could try to hurt you" Jasper had a bad feeling about this decision would only add to the situation.

"I can't keep hiding, Uncle. Please do not worry about me. I have Leonidas to protect if anything does go wrong. I'll be okay. I will just be going to my "special spot". Just for a few hours" She needed to get out! Even at the risk of more pain being added.

"Special Place"?

This was the first time that Leonidas heard of this? He did recall Dia leaving to somewhere on the days which she felt stress. He never had much interest in following to a place where there would be no brawl. Now he could not help but be curious. Just what was this "special place"?

Soon he would find out!

Dia wore a black hoodie which covered her hair from anyone from being able to identify her. Especially concealing that unique streak that shone like a diamond in the sunlight. Wearing dark tinted shades to hide her golden yellow eyes. Hiding not only their appearance, but the sorrow which was visible in them.

Seems like she did have clothes that were not all Diamond theme!

There Dia rode the bus to a forest just near the outskirts of Los Valmos. There a few miles from where she had lived before with her uncle. Where her "special place" was located.

A place that "He" made her to help with those dark days. Times where she needed a quiet place from everything. A place to calm herself from the nightmares of those nine years of absolute torment. One where she could be alone and just be her without worrying about the judgement of others.

There it lied deep in the heart of the forest by a lake which shines in the golden rays of the sun. A small wooden cabin that was just big enough for a single person to live in. Hidden in the protection of the pine trees, no one expect Dia and the animals knew of this place. Tranquility from the soft sounds of the forest animals put Dia mind at ease a bit. Works every time she visits.

Leonidas would be the first and only sole that she would share this with. Other than her uncle and "He", Leonidas would be the only other person to know of this location existance.

"This place is truly a beautiful place" Only in his wildest dreams could Leonidas picture himself some place this marvelous.

"My brother made it for me" Dia opened the door and let the two of them in.

The cabin was fully furished by white carpet. The living room couches were also a style of white but a darker shade with matched the apricot colored walls. The walls were framed drawings of her awarding winning artwork. There was a small screen television on a small wooden stand. Nearby there was a gaming system with a stack of games.

Mostly RPG games since Dia favored them than any other ones. There were a few dance and art games in the mix as well.

The Kitch had the basics: fridge full of food, oven, toaster. Cabinets stocked with can foods and preserves to the left. Kitchen tools and sink to the right. Allowing Leonidas to cook up lots of tasty meals.

The bedroom was simply with only three things in the room. A drawing desk for her to make drawings and more pieces of her realistic masterpieces. A walk in closet with thousands of outfits. Finally the bed which was much like the one she had in her bedroom.

"Your brother made you all this?" Leo blinked in amazement.

Her brother surely cared about her to put this much thought and work into this cabin.

"Yeah, he wanted me to have a place where I can be at peace. Just like now... I also came here to talk to you Leo...." Judging from her tone, it seemed that the conversation would revolve around recent events.

"Yes? What do you wish to discuss Dia?" Leonidas gave her his full attention.

"Y-you called me Dia? You finall called me by my name?" Dia looked like she had just been awoken from dreamland.

SHE JUST NOW NOTICED?!

"Dia, I wish to apologize. If I had been a better partner to you than you may not be suffering what you are now. My behavior and actions have painted you as what those children see as demonic. That title should have been solely been pinned upon me and me alone. I should have given you more respect. It was you to save me from that lab. You were the only one to hear my pleads for help when no other child would. Risking your very safety to rescue a bakugan like myself. Never once did I thank you" He could see her face soft at every word.

"Leo...."

"Diana Jenkins, you put your trust in me. Despite how everyone accused us for a crime that we did not commit. The very friends you always dreamed of, you gave it all up because you believed in me. It's that very trust which I want to start anew with you" He looked sincere with every word he spoke.

"Leo...I wanted to apologize to you. I haven't been the best partner either. I never truly gave you time to recover much from what you must have endured in that lab. I became so caught up in just hanging out with the Awesome Ones that I never took your feelings about it. Sure you loved brawling but I could see how uncomfortable you were around the others. How they judged you for your actions without truly getting to know the bakugan you truly are. Blaming you for something that I know you never do" Dia took Leonidas in her hands as she brough him close to her face.

"Though you never accused me nor did you doubt me. It's why I wish to be the guardian bakugan that deserves that trust" He would be the one to keep her safe.

"We still got alot to learn but..." She smiled and softly kissed his head. "Through every mistake, we will grow to be true partners"

Leonidas nodded. The blushed as pink as a peach. "Let's keep the kisses a secret from the others" He still had a strong bakugan image to keep after all.

There was the starting point. For a second, Dia's eyes flashed the same rainbow glow,Leonidas also glew the same way. It seemed that this partnership had awoken new bonds.

"Awww, isn't that sweet~ A pity that I must shatter that bond you just newly formed" The voice behind them made the two freeze.

OH COME ON!! THEY WERE HAVING A WHOLESOME HEART TO HEART MOMENT! WHO DARES RUIN THAT?!

Behind them was that same green haired lady that Dia had encountered the day she saved Leonidas. The one which gave the guards such fear of failing the "boss" they all worked for. The one who went by the name "Monark".

"YOU!!!" Leonidas snarled at the woman with anger and hatred.

The very one that helped those accursed lab experiment on him as their own personal guinea pig.

"How did you find us?!" Dia was sure they weren't followed.

How did Monark follow them?! HERE OF ALL PLACES!!

"Reasons why my "boss" holds me as his personal right hand. As I promised, I have come to collect LE0. Hand him over" She reach out her hand for the child to give her the requested Bakugan.

"NO" Dia refused anyone that wanted to take her partner.

Especially after the new start that they had just made. NO ONE IS TAKING HIM AWAY FROM HER!

"Fine, hard way it is" She went outside and walked a good distance from the house.

Dia and Leonidas looked at one another before following her. Monark wanted a brawl then she would get one!

The drome came up as Dia brawled out Leonidas. Both awaiting what Bakuhan Monark would have them face against. To their surprise, she walked over to Leonidas.

"What are you doing? A human can't fight a bakugan" Dia hoped that this woman wouldn't try that.

Leonidas could sense that was not the case. He could sense what was different about Monark from the first day at that lab. The aura that she gave off was not human. She merely held a disguise of one.

"Dia, she's a bakugan" He braced himself for a tough brawl ahead.

"My, My, you already knew huh? Well I guess that my cue" Monark red eyes flash as a blinding light took over the drome. Then as it vanished, Monark true form was revealed.

Before the two was a butterfly lady like bakugan. Her hair was short and bare an emerald color. Her soft green antennas stuck out like two hair pins. Large dark emerald wings came from her back. Yellow stripes with red diamonds at the ends, Her body was a soft green diamond armor dress. Even the heels at her feet looked sharp enough to pierce a dragon such as Leo. Her red eyes shone a ruby like glow. The most shocking part is.....she was a Diamond Faction.

"So she's a Bakugan?!" Dia struggled to process this information.

A BAKUGAN WHO CAN DISGUISED AS A HUMAN?! HOW?!

"Finally you show yourself. Why?! WHY HELP HURT A FELLOW DIAMOND FACTION! WATCHING ME SUFFER FOR TWO YEARS! HOW COULD YOU..?!!!" Rage filled Leonidas heart.

"Oh my dear dragon, you are going to help our faction. In the way our dear boss modify you to. Only he is NOT done. Oh and my true nane is Diamond Monarus. Let me show you my saying: "Float like a butterfly, strike like a queen!"" There Monarus got ready to attack.

"Get ready Dia" Leonidas growled. "She is not like any other bakugan"

"Got it, Leo! Let's do this!" Dia would not let this bakugan take Leo.

TIME TO BRAWL! THIS TIME AS PARTNERS!

Dia grabbed a nearby Pyrus bakucore and hurled it to Leonidas. "Ruby Inferno!"

Leonidas made the first move as he attacked Monarus with the fiery ruby themed attack.

Monarus dodged easily. Being a butterfly allowed her swift mobility. Meaning it be much harder to land a hit on her.

"So hot tempered! Oh la la la~ Why not have some refreshing air to cool you down?" Monarus then made a diamond symbol with her hands. "Emerald Velvet Twister!"

From her hands, a gale of pure emerald color came. It had a smooth flow like velvet yet it struck Leonidas with the full force of a twister! Leonidas was now at 500g

"Leo!" Dia looked for another bakucore.

"I can take it...." He slowly got to his feet.

Leonidas refused to lose to this bakugan. A DRAGON WILL NEVER LOSE TO A BUTTERFLY!!!

Monarus did not waste no time in making a follow up attack. "Fleur Hurricane!"

There a hurricane with neon glowing floral petals was summoned by a mere movement of her hands. The scent of various flowers was in each swirl of wind. This attack Leonidas managed to avoid.

Sadily.... Dia could not. The hurricane hurled her far.

"DIA!" Leonidas flew straight to catch her. Mentally praying that he catch her in time.

Then it happened. Somehow everything turned black around the human and bakugan, time completely stopping. The warm glow came back as a voice talked to them.

"Child who is destined to the draconic diamond dragon of a faction who fell due to a being whose greed put them into extinction. We are the voice of those who have fallen. You have been chosen to bear the power of "Diamond Justice". One of two of our factions lost abilities. Please use this power for good. We have faith in you, our Diamond Queen" With that the voice vanished. To replace it was a power.

A power which Dia had sealed in her body from the day she was born. Only to be strengthen by this new power which the voice had granted.

There a change came from the two as everything return to what was currently happening. Leonidas had caught his partner. There both were ready to face Monarus. Ready to show the power that the voice entrusted to them, with the new looks to match.

Who doesn't get a wardrobe change with a power up. Trick question with the answer being NONE!

In blinding speed, they returned to face Monarus.

Leonidas wings became short but the diamond spikes were much sharper like ice sickles. Only these were much more durable and deadly. He now dawn crystal scaled armor that covered his skin. Not like a knight or a warrior but a kind of armor that is a blessing. His tail had a long javelin spike at the end. His horns remained the same but held a unique glow. His eyes held the rainbow like glow. On his chest was a glowing crystal orb that had a living aura.

Dia outfit from before became completely replace. Her hoodie and jeans where now a long wavy white dress. Her arms where wrapped in white translucent lace that held an angelic white glow. On her wrists were two bracelets with two large diamond in the center. Her sneakers were now a pair of silverish white heels. Her hair appeared to grow long enough to flow down her back. The diamond streak spreaded throughout all her hair. Now it shone like the gem it was like. Her eyes illuminated with the same rainbow like aura as Leonidas.

"THEY UNLOCKED IT?!" Monarus was speechless

It took Drogo a year to master the bakugan traps. YET ONLY A DAY FOR THESE TWO TO MASTER DIAMOND JUSTICE.

Dia held a diamond bakucore. Then she concreted a large portion of "Diamond Justice". Time to end this brawl.

She then hurled it at her partner. Having full confident that he be able defeat this butterfly.

"Diaconic Rage!" There Leonidas attack Monarus with the full power of 1800g.

The strength of the new bond which was the start of their new partnership.

Monarus laid there wounded at 25g. Just barely hanging on from going back to a bakuball.

Just as Leonidas was ready to finish this. A bakugan appeared, a jester like one. He spoke no words as he scooped up the winged bakugan in his arms. He then threw a ball of blinding light at them. The two had escape once their vision had returned.

There from the sky, Marduk watched as he rode a pitch black dragon who smirked.

"The child has acchieved the power" He looked at his partner. "I do hope you allow me to face her one day"

Marduk nodded. He had to watch the brawl as he struggled not to stop Monarus. He knew that this brawl had to happen but his urge to protect her were on overdrive.

They would leave the two for now. He had to treat Monarus, do more research in his cause.

To revive the Diamond Faction.

The two flew back to their base. Unaware that a third party was watching. They were seeking the truth. To chat with Dia themselves.
