(F/n)'s POV

We were riding our horses, heading to the former headquarters of the Scout Regiment. It was an old castle but it's been renovated since then.

We had that kid Eren, with us and Oluo was telling him about the HQ. I was riding alongside Levi, when Eren looked over his shoulder and saw Levi glaring at him.

Eren's eyes widened before he turned back to look forward.

"Levi, what are you doing?" I whispered.

"The brat needs to know that I won't hesitate to kill him, if I need to." He replied, still glaring at the back of his head.

I rolled my eyes, continuing to ride on the path.

Oluo was whispering something to Eren until his horse stepped on a rock, causing him to bite his tongue.

Time Skip

We were currently in the mess hall, talking. The sun set a few hours ago so we were just relaxing for now.

Everyone was asking Eren about his Titan ability and how he can turn into one. But I mean, I can turn into one too. So I don't know why they would pressure him about it. Poor kid.

Out of nowhere, Hanji burst into the room. Oh no. We all knew where this was going. Giving a look of pity to Eren, we all got up and left the room.

*Morning*

I was on my way to the mess hall with my squad when we heard a loud scream. Quickly running outside to the source of the scream, we saw Hanji.

"Hanji, what happened?" I asked.

"S-Sonny...and Bean have been murdered!!!" She screamed, clinging on to me.

(Running outta ideas here even though I'm basing off episodes now)

I was helping out Eren in the stables when we heard people walking by. Eren quickly turned around and his eyes widened.

"What's the matter?" I asked, pausing from my work.

"Those are my friends..." He mumbled, running out of the stables.

"Oluo, do you mind if I go and talk to my classmates?" Eren asked Oluo.

"Sheesh! Make it quick." He snapped.

I left the stables as well and heard what Oluo said.

"Cut the kid some slack, he probably hasn't seen them in awhile! At least let him catch up with them for a few." I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms and leaning against the wall behind us.

"Tch. You know you're not in charge." He replied.

"Oh, I know. But I do know someone who is." I smirked.

He looked over at me with a confused face.

I inhaled before shouting, "Le-!"

Oluo slapped a hand over my mouth and shushed me.

"Don't tell him!" He whisper/shouted, making me laugh.

"Relax! I wasn't really going to tell him."

"Thank the walls." He muttered, taking a sip from his drink.

An idea sparked in my head so I evilly grinned and waited for Oluo to take another sip.

When he brought the cup up, I hit the bottom of it, causing the cup to hit his face.

I instantly started laughing, bending over and holding my stomach.

"Y-you should have seen that...c-coming!" I laughed, falling over.

"You stupid greenhorn!" He growled, wiping his face dry from the water.

I heard footsteps near us so I calmed down and saw Eren with two others.

Standing back up and calming myself down more, I waved to the two that Eren brought over.

"Guys, these are my two friends. That's Armin and that's Mikasa." He pointed them out.

The two saluted, which Oluo and I waved off since we weren't high ups.

"Hi, I'm (f/n)!" I smiled, shaking Armin's hand. I held out my hand for Mikasa, which she didn't take but just nodded.

"Tch. I'm Oluo." Oluo muttered, making me elbow his ribs.

"Ow! Dumbass!" He cursed, shoving me which made me laugh again.

Eren just stood there, probably feeling awkward for us embarrassing him like this.

Then we heard Ness shout to the new cadets that their uniforms were here, so Eren left to lead his friends over there.

"Well I'm going back inside to get ready for the expedition tomorrow. And keep an eye on Eren. Y'know, all the new cadets will be joining the mission as well." Oluo said, walking away.

"Wait...what?! They're joining us?!" I shouted, turning around but seeing that he was already gone.

*Expedition Day*

"Flares, green ones. Oluo, you fire it." Levi said.

"Rodger that!" Oluo replied, shooting a green flare.

"I have a report!" Someone rode up to Levi. "It's a verbal message! The search squad on the right flank suffered a devastating blow! They've lost the capability to scout the enemy. Please relay this message to the left flank!" He finished before leaving.

"You heard him, Petra. Go!" Levi commanded.

"Yes, sir!" She rode off to pass the message.

I looked back at Eren and saw that he looked scared.

"What's wrong?" I asked, slowing down a little so I'd be next to him.

"The right flank...that's where my friend Armin is positioned." He mumbled.

"I'm sure he's fine, Eren." I smiled.

"I hope you're right."

A moment later, we saw three black flares shot.

An abnormal?!

"Eren, you fire it." Levi said.

"Yes, sir!"

Time Skip

"Captain! Captain Levi!" Eren called.

"What is it?" He asked.

"What...? This is a forest! If only the center column enters the forest, we won't be able to see Titans coming! They seem to be coming from the right. How are we going to avoid the Titans and protect the supply wagons?"

"Stop whining about the obvious. There's no way we can do that anymore." Levi answered.

"What?! Th-then why...?"

"Look around you, Eren, at all these big ass trees. It's the ideal environment to make use of our 3DMG. Now think with that mediocre brain of yours. Think really hard if you don't want to die."

"Yes, sir!"

We continued riding through the forest of the "big ass trees".

Another black flare was shot from behind us.

Could it be another abnormal?

Levi ordered for us to draw out our swords, which we did.

Now we all waited for something to happen.

A Scout was maneuvering around in the trees when all of a sudden, a Titan that resembled a female swatted him.

"Move it!" Levi shouted.

Petra wanted to switch to 3DMG, but Levi didn't say anything. Soldier after soldier was killed left and right by the abnormal.

Everyone was screaming at Levi for orders, while I stayed silent from shock.

"Cover your ears, everybody." He finally said, looking over his shoulder.

He put something inside his flare gun before shooting it. It sounded like a high pitched squeal. I'm surprised Levi didn't go deaf. Damn, he definitely is a badass.

"An acoustic round?" Eren asked.

The female Titan kept killing soldiers with one hand while the other was over the nape of her neck.

Shit...she's intelligent.

Eren was really upset with all the soldiers that died, claiming that we could have saved them.

He put his swords away and looked at his hand. He brought it up to his mouth and was about to bite it before I stopped him.

"Eren, what are you doing?!" I shouted.

"I can stop her if I turn into a Titan! Just let me transf-"

"No! You can't! Just listen to Captain Levi and trust us! I will not let you transform no matter what!" I shouted back, cutting him off.

"(F/n) please! More soldiers will die if I don't do this!"

"Listen to me, you little shit! It doesn't matter what you do! Soldiers will die either way!"

He looked back down at his hand, thinking of what he should do.

"If you transform, we won't hesitate to kill you ourselves. So just listen to your Captain's orders."

Then Levi joined in, giving him a little speech about decisions and regrets.

Eren finally made his decision, and he was going to continue riding with us.

After riding for a minute longer, we heard commander Erwin shout and they captured the female Titan.

Levi soon left and Eld was in charge.

Time Skip

We stopped riding a little bit ago. And right now we were on some tree branches.

Petra and Oluo were bickering, as usual. Something about Oluo trying to be like Levi.

All of a sudden, we heard a horrific scream come from the other side of the forest. It definitely wasn't a human who could scream that loud.

Was that a Titan?

Then there was a blue flare.

We get to go back already?

We used our 3DMG to get back and meet up with Levi, wherever he was.

There was a green signal, so Gunther replied by shooting one as well. Saying that it must have been Levi.

"Levi?" I whispered, seeing a figure on maneuver gear beside us.

"No...that's not him...who's there?!" Gunther shouted with wide eyes.

But just then, the figure cut one of his cables, making him smash into a tree.

"Gunther!" I shouted, looking back.

Eren went back to check on him, but all we heard was a gasp.

We figured out that the person who killed Gunther, was the female Titan.

There was a yellow lightning bolt, that meant she transformed.

Yet again, the female Titan was chasing us.

"Let me transform!" Eren shouted.

"Don't! Just keep going towards HQ!" We all shouted back.

"(F/n), keep an eye on Eren while we go after the female Titan!" Petra shouted to me.

"I'm on it!" I replied, going back to HQ with him.

Just as Eld went for it, the Titan bit him in half before spitting him out.

Eren turned around, trying to go back.

Without thinking, I followed him back over to our squad.

Eren screamed as we witnessed Petra getting stomped on against a tree.

I saw the hurt in Oluo's eyes, as he went after the female now.

He shot his anchor into her neck and went to cut her nape. But she hardened her skin and his blades broke.

He froze, looking down at his swords, not noticing that she lifted her leg and kicked him across the forest.

"I'm gonna...I'm gonna....kill her!!!" Eren screamed with rage, bringing up his hand.

"NOO!!!!" I shoved him before he was able to bite his hand.

Third Person POV

Little did (f/n) and Eren know, was that Levi saw everything.

He was on his way to meet up with them. But watched as his squad was killed.

He saw that the female Titan tried hitting Eren but he dodged it. He maneuvered over to (f/n) and grabbed her waist, bringing her over to a tree branch.

"But Ere-" She shouted but was cut off by Levi's lips on hers.

She held the back of Levi's head as they both heard Eren transform into his Titan form.

Flashback

(F/n)'s POV

"YOU BASTARD, YOU KILLED MY MOTHER! I HATE YOU!"

I looked over my shoulder and saw Levi standing by the door. "Yes, Levi?" I asked, continuing to put things away. "Can't I just visit? I mean, I haven't seen you in almost a decade!" He sat on the edge of my bed, watching me.

"I wasn't trying to be rude." I chuckled. "Need help?" I looked at him. He was holding one of my (f/c) bras, and I instantly blushed from embarrassment.

"Put that down!" I shouted. He didn't listen though, instead he slingshotted it at my face. "LEVI!" I shouted again, laughing. I took the bra off my face, and put it in my dresser.

I saw a small smirk plastered on his lips. "You little perverted boy!" I rolled my eyes, and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Shut up." He playfully insulted. "Anyways, I don't need help from you because you would probably mess around with my undergarments like the little pervert you are." I chuckled.

"Alright whatever, I'm leaving." He got up and left my room.

"...I...l-love you, (f/n)..."

"I...love you too, Levi."

Flashback End

Tears soon spilled out both of their eyes as they pulled away, each knowing that this was the end.

"Let's go see Farlan and Isabel." Levi whispered and (f/n) nodded.

"(F/n)...I love you so much. Y-you're my diamond in the rough." Levi whispered, wiping away (f/n)'s tears.

"I-I love you too..." She whispered back, wiping away Levi's tears.

That was when the female Titan broke the branch that they were standing on.

They wrapped each other in a tight embrace, sharing one last kiss.

Before hitting the ground, Eren's Titan tried to save them but he was too late.

He let out a loud and long roar.

The two were instantly killed when they hit the ground. Neither wanted to stop their fall, for it would be the best.

When they landed, they were hand in hand. (Picture above)

*A few days later*

Erwin was heading to the underground, for he had important business to discuss.

He reached the prison that he was looking for and entered.

Erwin told the guards what he was there for, and they led him back to where he needed to go.

"Hey, (l/n)! You've got a visitor!" The guard shouted.

"A visitor...?" He muttered, turning around in his cell.

"Mr. (L/n), I'm Erwin Smith. Commander of the Survey Corps." Erwin introduced himself.

"Liam. But what are you doing here?" He replied.

"You had a daughter. Am I correct?" Erwin asked.

"Yeah..." He whispered, looking down.

"(F/n) (l/n). She was in the Scouts for the past three years. Did you know that?"

"Wha-no?!" He furrowed his brows, looking back up at Erwin.

"Well, I hate to tell you...but she has recently passed on our latest expedition outside the walls." Erwin sighed.

"She...no...she...fuck! I-I can't believe this..." Tears formed in his eyes.

"I'm very sorry for your loss, but here's something for you." Erwin pulled out her ring that was in his pocket, handing it over to Liam.

"Oh my God...t-thank you." Liam whispered, wiping his eyes. "B-but I don't need this..." He examined the ring he held.

"Why?" Erwin lifted a brow.

"My niece...my niece should have it, instead."

"Who's your niece? I can give it to her, if you'd like."

"Hanji Zoë is her name."

Erwin's eyes widened.

"H-Hanji...she's in the scouts as well...they were best friends. Did either of them know?"

Liam shook his head "no", giving him the ring back.

"I'll definitely give this to her then." Erwin took it, placing it back in his pocket.

"I just...I just wish I could see and talk to her one last time. So I could apologize for what I've done to her. I regret it all!" He cried.

"W-what are you talking about?"

"Her mother...and her...why did I do what I've done?!"

Erwin furrowed his eyebrows as Liam told him everything.

Time Skip

"Tell me, was she ever happy?" Liam asked when his tears went away.

"She was very happy. Those kids you said she'd hang out with, were also in the scouts. Sadly, two of them died. But when (f/n) joined, she was reunited with Levi. In fact, they fell in love with each other." A grin snuck on to Erwin's face.

"T-they did?" Liam mumbled, a small smile also on his face.

When Erwin got back to their HQ, he immediately went to go find Hanji.

He found her in her office and walked right in.

"Hey, commander handsome! What can I do for ya?" She asked with a smile.

"A gift." Erwin bluntly stated, putting the ring on her desk.

"(F/n)'s ring..." She whispered, holding in the tears.

"Yes. Your uncle told me you should have it."

"Wha-?" Hanji made a confused face.

Erwin nodded.

"I visited (f/n)'s father...and it turns out he's your uncle."

"(F/n) was my cousin...?" A tear escaped Hanji's eye. "AND I NEVER KNEW?!"

Hanji took something out of her pocket, which was Levi's cravat.

She put the ring on the same finger as (f/n) would wear it on. Then she tied Levi's cravat around Erwin's neck, making him chuckle.

Hanji giggled and cried at the same time.

"He really did love her." Hanji smiled.
