Day 2: Friends Reunited

I awoke the next morning and stretched. "Ah, the weekend.... funny how the first day was a Friday...... oh well." I muttered out, as I got out of bed and dressed for the day. All of a sudden I heard my mom at the bottom of the stairs. "Kitten!? Are you awake!?" She yelled. "YES!!! WHY WHAT'S UP!?" I yelled, waiting for a reply from my mother. "Come down here and have breakfast, I'll explain while your eating okay??!" She yelled back up the stairs, I sighed. "OKAY MOM! BE DOWN IN A MINUET!" I yelled back in response.

I wonder what mom wants to talk about.... well I'll find out soon enough.... I thought, grabbing my phone and hoodie walking downstairs. When I got to the kitchen table my mom set down my breakfast, which was bacon and eggs. "Mmmm.... My favourite! Thanks mom!" I smiled at her, and dug in. My mother sat in front of me and watched me eat. "Are you not going to eat anything mom?" I asked, she shook her head. "No I already ate, but I have some good news!" She said, her smile gleaming. "What's the news??" I asked around a mouthful. "We are going to the park and meeting one of my old friends!" My mother said happily. I groaned quietly, but still plastered a fake smile. "Sounds fun mom." I said, she clapped happily. "Great! Now finish your breakfast and then we'll go!!" She smiled and ran upstairs to change. I sighed and shook my head, continued eating.

After we got to the park I sat down on the bench of where had stopped. "So who's your friend?" I asked, my mom opened her mouth to speak, but then someone screamed, and no, I don't mean like figurative screaming, I mean like literal screaming, my mothers name. "SAPHRA!!" And then my mom turned to the almost un-audible voiced person. "ZARRA!" Mom yelled back as I watched the two women hug. "O-M-S! Saphra! It's has been so long since I've seen you! And your daughter!! She's grown up soooo much yo!" Then she looked behind my mom at me. "Yes she has! Cyrissa, this is Zarra! Do you remember her??" She asked. "Uh... no... n-not really... I don't remember much from back then." I said, scratching the back of my head.  "That's alright!" Zarra said. "Oh! Zarra where are your kids??" My mom asked. "Wait... KIDS!? So I have to baby sit a few little brats?" I asked. "I'm not sure I seen any brats on the way here." I heard a voice say. I turned to look where the voice came from and squeaked in horror as I seen the last three people I thought I'd see. "CLYVE? GARRICK?? DONOVAN!? What are you guys doing here!?" I exclaimed, freaking out inside and out. "I could ask you the same thing Cyrissa." Clyve said smirking. "Oooh!!! My sweet little boys met Cyrissa already!! That's great!" Zarra clapped happily bouncing around like tigger on steroids. "That's perfect! I'm so glad that you know each other! That'll make this sooooooo much easier! You kids have fun now, play a sport or something, we have to go for our jog!" My mom said, happily smiling in gleam. "Ba bye kids! Have fun! Hahahahahahaha!" And with that our mother walked away laughing like crazed maniacs. "Oooooooookkkaaayyy! So uh..... what are we going to do now?" I asked, turning to the three brothers. "Well, you heard our mothers, they said to play a sport or 'Something'." Garrick said, I groaned loudly at the word, Sports. "Uhhhgg.." "What's the matter Cyrissa?" Donovan asked me. "I don't play sports...... nor do I enjoy moving that much." I muttered loud enough for them to hear. "Oh? I see a lot has changed since I left Simgwen, you used to love sports, especially d-." Clyve began but I cut him off blushing slightly. "Y-yeah! I know! But I-I... just took and break from that and all! S-so yeah!" I said, laughing nervously. The three of them just looked at me confused, until I cleared my throat. "So, uh.... what sport and or game do you guys wanna play?" I asked, trying to avoid that topic. "I don't know..." Garrick said, thinking. "Me neither... mom never told us what we were going to do here, so I didn't bring anything sport related." Said Clyve. Donovan simply shrugged, clearly they didn't have any idea what to play, so I began to think myself. "I have an idea..." I said, the boys looked at me. "But it's childish........... I don't think you guys'll wanna play it." I muttered out. "Psh so what? Childish or not it's something to do." Donovan said, surprising me. "Yeah, I agree." Garrick added. "Well, what is it Cyrissa?" Asked Clyve, my tail flicked with excitement, and my ears perked forwards. "Great! Then let's play hide and seek!" I said smiling.

We had gotten a few rounds in, and of course the boys made me seek first, but now I'm  hiding in a tree, smirking to myself, due to the fact that I climbed high enough that they wouldn't find me until I heard them become desperate enough to beg for me to come out. Garrick ran under the tree looking in the bushes, not finding anyone, he huffed in frustration. He walked away and went to look else where, and I snickered. All of a sudden I heard rustling in the leaves below, and I looked down to see Donovan sit down on one of the lower branches my guess changing hiding spots. I didn't want to be seen so I quietly climbed up higher and watched everything play out. Donovan was found shortly there afterwards, and then Clyve, and then about 15 minuets later they were yelling out my name looking for me. "Cyrissa, please come out! Seriously! This isn't funny anymore!" Clyve yelled. I sighed at my friend, whom was walking back towards the tree I was in. "Try looking up! Maybe you'll find me!" I yelled, making sure to direct my voice else where. Sure enough Clyve began to look up the tree anyways, but amazingly he still didn't notice me,  I sighed as he walked away. "CYRISSA! OUR MOTHER IS GOING TO KILL US IF WE TELL HER WE LOST YOU!" Garrick yelled. "Really?" I muttered, as I jumped out of the tree and landed on my feet. "Hey!" I said, they all turned to me. "Cyrissa!" They all cheered and ran to me, strangely hugging me.  "Uuuuhhhh.... guys?" I asked. "Yes?" They all asked. "Let me go now please, I dislike physical contact in anyway.. so please, STOP. HUGGING. ME." I said coldly. They all let me go, and I breathed in with relief. Soon after that they let me go our mothers came back. "Heyyyyy kids!" Zarra cheered happily. "Yeah yo! What did you guys do??" My mom asked. "Played hide and seek, actually the just found me like not to long ago!" I said with a smile. "Oh wow! You found her! That's amazing! It's rare for anyone to find her when she's hiding really well! Even for me!" My mom said, astounded. I nodded. "Yep they found me...... Anyways! Shouldn't we be getting home soon mom?" I asked. "Yes! Your right, we should be getting home." My mom said, sounding slightly sad. "Hey! I have an idea!" Zarra  said as she smiled. "What is it?" My mom asked her, at this point I began to sweat drop, and I'm pretty sure the boys did too. "How about later tonight, me and the boys, maybe even their father will all go over to your place for diner!" Zarra said, smiling brightly. "Yes! That's a great idea yo!" My mom cheered. At this point I had sat under a tree hugging my legs to my chest in desperation. The last thing I wanted was the boys at my house. But at this point I couldn't stop the two women from planning this. "This is bad this is bad this is bad, very very very very VERY bad." I began to mutter. I soon heard foot steps coming towards me. Soon enough they stopped at my feet. "Hey Cyrissa, didn't think I'd see you here!" A familiar voice stated.  I looked up to see none other then my new friend Jade smiling down at me. "JADE!? What are you doing here??" I asked happily. "Well, I needed to get away from my brother getting me to try on outfits he made for me, so I came to the park, I'm glad I ran into you though!" She said, helping up. "Yeah! Me too, hey are you going to be doing anything later tonight?" I asked hopefully. Jade thought  for a moment and shook her head softly. "Nope, why do you ask?" She looked at me confused. "My mom and a family that we know, whom had three sons, are coming over for diner tonight, and I don't wan t to be the only girl there. So please, I beg you, please come over tonight so I don't have to suffer in silence, it's bad enough I had to hang  out with them for the past hour." I said, Jade chuckled. "Sure, I'll ask dad, I'm sure he'll let me come over. Where do you live?" She asked. "413 Villa street. See you tonight around ... say.... 5?" She nodded. "Sounds good I'll see you then." She waved to me as she walked off and I walked over to my mom. "Who was that?" She asked. "That's my new friend Jade, mind if she joins us for diner tonight?" I asked. "Sure! The more the merrier!" My mom said happily. "Thanks mom!" "Your welcome kitten, now, let's go home." And with that we left the park. Once in the car I plugged in my head phones and began listening to music, when I got a text from WB.

WB- Hey Shiely! Are you going to be playing the game tonight?
Shiely- No I can't tonight, sorry WB. My mom planned a dinner tonight, and we're having guests over, so I can't....... again sorry.
WB- It's okay, maybe tomorrow then?
Shiely- Sure, and hey, if I can get on tonight, I'll text you to let you know, okay?
WB- Sounds good, have a good diner Shiely 😁.
Shiely- Thanks, see you later! 😸

And with that the long night started.
