Forever

Tony Stark has always been seen as someone who uses others, always looking for a loophole.
But nobody knows the man, who perhaps loves more than everyone else, behind his armor.
Since he kissed his trusty secretary Pepper Potts, he's a different man.
He no longer plays the playboy and his behavior with women has totally changed.
Now he is walking towards his living room. As soon as he sets foot in the luxurious room, a sob compels him to turn around.
Pepper is sitting on the couch and her tears are drying. Tony is approaching immediately to ask what happened.
As he sits in front of her, he wraps his hands over Pepper's. She immediately raises her head and gets lost in the brown eyes of her, now she can finally call him that, boyfriend.
Tony waits patiently for her to tell him what happened. But she does not seem to calm down.
Then Tony picks her up and sits on the sofa with her on it, as if she were a child in need of cuddling.
She clasps to his chest, tracing with a finger the outline of the ARC reactor that can be glimpsed from Tony's shirt.
He caresses her hair and back, kissing her cheeks to wipe away the tears that persistently try to ruin Pepper's beautiful face. Then she speaks.
"M-My father is... dead."
Let this life full of obstacles and pain be cursed.
The sobs are more insistent and Tony, gently, grabs her face to look into her eyes and supports his forehead.
Words are not needed.
He knows all too well that pain, that emptiness, that weight that sticks to the heart and no longer goes away.
Start to cradle her.
"Jarvis ... start the music."
"Yes, Mr. Stark."
Tony gets up, taking Pepper by the hand and pulling her without too much force towards the center of the room.
"Like old times?"
She asks, smiling.
Finally she had left aside the pain of the moment to be with the most important person for her.
Tony kissed her.
"Like old times."
He wrapped Pepper's hips and took her hand while she put the other on his shoulder.
They began to move to the rhythm of the Italian song that they both loved.

Stasera la luce si sente importante,
Si guarda allo specchio con aria elegante...

Between those words, Pepper puts her arms around Tony's neck who surrounds her hips.

E non c'è niente al mondo
Che la può distogliere da tanta bellezza, che il suo diamante è!

Two souls, who knew pain and love, joined together.

L'abbraccerà,
Rallegrerà,
Solleverà, se mai cadrà!

The rain outside seems to want to break through the glass to join that couple expressing love and happiness.

Difenderà,
Sempre sarà...

Tony hugs her more tightly, kissing her inviting lips and caressing her tongue, going into ecstasy, feeling the sweet taste of his Diamond.

Diamante lei e luce lui!

They continue to dance without ever detaching, as if at any moment something should divide them.

L'abbraccerà
Rallegrerà,
Solleverà, se piangerà...

Just them. They against everything. The world can only stand on the sidelines in front of this scene, these looks that speak for themselves, those gestures never made, those words never said.

They are so lost in each other's eyes... that they no longer listen to music.
Not even Jarvis wants to intervene to warn that dinner is served.

Nobody.

Just them.

Tony and Pepper.

Boss and assistant.

Stark and Potts.

Two hearts beating in unison, as if wanting to talk to each other.

Fire and water.

Sky and earth.

Light and diamond.
