Subaru's POV:
While me and Yukina are picking roses, I gazed at her lovingly admiring how beautiful she is.

Yukina, you're so beautiful as I remember. If only I can tell you how I feel, but....I can't. What if she doesn't return my feelings? What if she laughs at me? What if she sees me as a monster?! Gaaaah! Calm down Subaru, just calm down. You and Yukina haven't talked together for many years! Come damnit pull yourself together!

I then lose my train of thought when Yukina called me out.

"Subaru?"

"Huh? Y-Yeah?"

"Is something wrong?"

"Wha? Oh no, I was just...happy to see you again and it's great to have you walking with me."

I smiled warmly as she smiled in return.

"Thanks Subaru, I'm glad to see you guys again. It's been a long time walking in the rose gardens with you since when we're kids."

I then lightly chuckled.

"Ha ha yeah, I remember that. It was a really great memory."

As she turns back to her roses, I them thought of her again thinking about the time when I first met Yukina.

*flashback(Subaru's POV)*

It was a beautiful day when I first met her. She was an angel, she was a pure beauty, she was my first love.

It all started when my father came to my mother's tower where he starts to talk to her while I stood there behind the rose gardens.

"Karlheinz, what's this about?"

"Christa, my beloved princess, I want you to meet someone special."

Then the girl behind him, shyly peeped at my mother where I widened my eyes fascinated by her beauty and presence.

My mother then smiled gently at the young girl.

"And who is this beautiful young lady Karl?"

"This is Yukina Knightwalker, she is my apprentice for me and I want you to keep her comfortable as you can since she's new to this 'new life'."

Yukina Knightwalker....Yukina....what a beautiful name....

I thought to myself while admiring the beautiful young girl.

"Oh...well..."

She then get down on her knees with a soft smile on her face.

"Well...It's lovely meeting you Yukina, and I...want you to meet Subaru....my son....umm Subaru come out here! I want you meet Yukina."

I then slowly popped out of the bush where I shyly walked towards the young girl. Then my mother introduced me to Yukina

"Subaru, I...want you...to meet your father's apprentice, Yukina Knightwalker."

I then slowly look up at Yukina where she shyly smiles at me.

"Uhh-hmm...hi, I'm Yukina...Yukina Knightwalker. It's great to meet you Subaru..."

"Ummm...it's great to meet you too and...I love your hair..."

I lightly blushed where she blushes as well, but then slowly smiled at me.

"T-Thank you..."

"Well I..guess I'll leave you two alone."

My mother said as walked away from us, I turned to her where I attempt to call her.

"Huh wait mother!"

No avail, my mother didn't hear me. As I looked at the ground dejectedly, Yukina then called me.

"Umm S-Subaru?..."

"Huh Y-Yeah?...."

I asked her where she narrowed her eyes at the ground shyly before she looks at me again.

"...Do you...love....roses?...."

"....Do you?..."

I asked curiously as she slowly smiled gently at me.

"...I do...."

I then find myself smiled warmly at her.

"So..do you...want to play in the roses with me?..."

I asked leading my hand to hers where she smiled widely at me.

"...S-Sure...."

That's when we started playing where both of us played hide and seek, but I've always got found by her and she always wins.

"I found you again!"

She shouted happily.

"Not again!"

She then laughs where I laughed as well and all of us started laughing happily together.

After we take a break from hide and seek, I thought about giving roses since she said she loves them. However as I was about to give them to her, I thought about her once again.

Hold on, what am I doing? She's going to hate me soon so..why would I care?....

I thought about her doubting that she will love me, but then I again I can't return these flowers now....

Oh what the heck! I'll just go for it!

"Uhh Yukin- AAAAHHH!!!!"

As I was about to give the roses to her, I flinched as I immediately dodged at the quick sight of the blade the stabs through the tree.

Wow...did she threw that?...

She then ran towards me.

"S-Sorry Subaru I didn't mean to hurt you or anything!"

"U-Uhhh it's alright....wait, blade too?"

I asked as she smiled gently nodded at me.

"Of course, I have a lot of them."

"You do?!"

I shouted.

"Yeah, I used all the time when I do my training."

"Training???"

"Ummm training for throwing targets I mean!"

She said sweat dropping.

"Oooookaaayy...anyway, I got you this."

I give her the roses that I've picked out.

"Awww Subaru thank you that's very sweet!"

She then gave me a hug while I stood there blushing, I find myself smiling warmly at her where I slowly hugged her back realizing that I fell in love with girl.

Yukina....you're amazing....

*flashback ends*

While thinking about the good times, I immediately lost my train of thought when she called me out.

"Hey Subaru!"

"Huh?"

She then gave me a beautiful bouquet of white roses that she made.

"I made these just for you I hope you like it."

I then smiled warmly at her.

"Like it? I LOVE it! Thank you Yukina."

"Your welcome Subaru, that's what you did when we were kids."

"Yeah, that was one of those great times."

As we shared this tender moment under the full moon, I smiled gently at her thinking about my childhood sweetheart.

Yukina....you're so amazing and beautiful as always....
