You knew what you were doing was wrong, and actually rather shameful, but you'd been admiring the hot, red-head lifeguard for so long now, and the only way to get his attention inconspicuously was this. Or, so your best friend had argued. Faking drowning.

Actually, you'd done this on more than one occasion, however he never gave you much acknowledgement, simply plucking you from the water and sending you on your way. But your friend managed to convince you time and time again that this time would be the one where he swept you off your feet like prince charming, and whisked you away to some mansion.

Only, this time, you didn't need to fake the drowning. You had been messing around with your friend in the public pool, when a bracelet she had forgotten to take off slipped off her wrist and sank to the bottom, glittering a lapis lazuli blue. Thank goodness it wasn't the deep end, only just over halfway down the length of the pool.

"Shit," They cursed in anger, watching as it slowly sunk. "Well, I guess that's gone," They hummed in disappointment.

"I can get it for you," You suggested. You weren't the most confident swimmer, but you knew your friend hated going under the water at all, let alone having to dive down to the bottom to retrieve it, plus you felt bad, knowing how much they had loved the bracelet you had brought them.

"Really?!" They gasped in glee and you forced a weak smile and gave a reluctant 'yeah, of course, what are friends for?'.

You readjusted your swimming goggles, took a deep breath, and projected yourself down into the chlorinated depths. You kicked your legs furiously and pushed down to the bottom of the pool, the bracelet barely an arm's length away now. Your fingertips brush the bottom of the pool as you grasp the bracelet and kick off the bottom, towards the surface.

     Only, you don't go anywhere.

You instantly feel panic swell up inside you when there's a harsh tug on your hair and you instantly realize that your hair is stuck in one of the grates in the side of the tiled pool. How the hell had that even happened?! You made sure there was no way- this kind of stuff haunted your nightmares, and now it's really happening. You try to yank your hair free, but your hands are weak and shaky in the water and you begin to flail.

Then the burning in your lungs begins to set in and your chest feels like it's getting crushed. You splutter in the water, unable to hold your breath any longer, and the water crashes into your mouth and you begin to choke, desperately trying to free yourself, lungs screaming for air.

Suddenly the tension in your hair is gone and you feel arms slipping around you and the water rushing past you as you're dragged towards the surface. As soon as you break the surface you try to gasp for air but choke on the water you've inhaled, and you're dragged up onto the side of the pool and laid on your side.

You drop the bracelet on the tiles and cough up the water rattling in your lungs, heaving great choking gasps, trying to force air into your lungs, but they still scream in agony, barely able to breath, despite your frantic attempts to force air into them.

Soon, your breathing begins to calm and most of the water has been coughed up, and you slowly sit upright, clutching your pounding.

"Jesus Christ, Y/N, you scared the crap out of me," Your friend scolded, giving your shoulders a slight shake. You give a weak laugh and hold out the bracelet and they smile widely and slip it back onto their wrist.

"Sorry," You shrug awkwardly. They rolled their eyes with a grin.

"I'll go put this somewhere safe," The say, standing and beginning to walk away, not before giving a slight smirk over their shoulder. "I'll leave you in the capable hands of the lifeguard,"

"That was a close call, you know," A voice says, and you turn your head to the lifeguard, feeling your face heat in embarrassment. He's still on the floor with you, sat back on his heels, arms folded, easy smirk and dancing green eyes. "You're lucky Ore-Sama saw you, again,"

"Thanks," You resist the urge to groan audibly when you realize he remembers your previous fakeries, except, this time was the real deal.

"You're alright now?" He asks and you give a shy nod, clearing your throat and tucking a wet strand of hair behind your ear. You watch as his eyes dart somewhere, and you follow, watching the next lifeguard come into the pool area, ready for his shift, and you almost sigh in disappointment.

"I'm fine," You say and give a weak smile, and watch as the lifeguard stands.

"Oh, really? If you'll follow me to my office, I can check you over," He says and holds out a hand. You think of rejecting the offer and explaining that you're really alright now, but think better of it and take his hand shyly, and the offer to spend more time with him.

You follow him out of the main room, down a couple of corridors, through a door with 'staff only' printed in big yellow letters, and through a wooden door, finally into an office. He closes the door behind you, and you suddenly realize how cold you feel, standing with wet hair, only in your bikini.

"In case you didn't catch my name, it's Ayato," He sends you a cocky smirk before picking up a towel which had been resting on the back of a leather office chair behind the desk, using it to towel out most of the moisture from his red hair.

"I'm Y/N," You offer shyly, giving a slight nod of acknowledgement. He discards the towel, throwing it carelessly at the desk, knocking a few paperweights off in the process, not that he seemed particularly bothered.

"You see, Y/N," He hums, moving towards you, and you find yourself holding your breath as he stops only inches away from you. His face falls back into the easy smirk and he pinches your chin between his thumb and forefinger, easily angling your head upwards, his lips only three or four inches away. "It seems you've stopped breathing again, so I think I ought to give you mouth to mouth,"

Before you can speak or react, his smirking lips slam down on yours, and you resist the urge to moan in delight. 'finally', you think, 'it's about time'. You instantly reply, kissing back with what you thought was as much force, but he only kisses you harder, grabbing you by the thighs as your arms wrap around his neck. He lifts you and sits you on the desk, working his way between your legs.

He slowly laid you back on the desk, leaning over you, resting his weight comfortably over you. One hand was sliding up and down the outside of your thigh, getting dangerously high, while the was gripping the back of your neck, pulling your lips impossibly closer to his. His tongue worked into your mouth and the kiss became hot a sloppy, but delicious and perfect.

Before it could get too heated, there was a knock at the door, and Ayato pulled away from your lips, but stayed leaning over you against the desk, and peered over his shoulder in distain.

"What is it?" He called in annoyance. "I'm busy giving mouth to mouth,"

"Mouth to mouth, huh? Fufufufu," The door opened and the other red-head lifeguard peered around the door. He said nothing when he saw your position, only raising an eyebrow, an amused smile on his face as he looked at you. "Are you Y/N?"

"Yeah..." You murmured in embarrassment, your face flushing a deeper red.

"Your friend is looking for you," He said and gave you a knowing look.

"Tell them she's busy," Ayato said in annoyance, turning back to face you, and his intense stare made your stomach do flips.

"Tell them yourself, and get off my best friend," They huffed, pushing the other lifeguard into the room so they could be seen in the doorway.

"Dammit," Ayato sighed, begrudgingly lifting himself away from you, and you slowly sat upright as he began scribbling something down on a spare piece of paper. He folded the paper and you stood. He glanced at your friend and hissed out, "Cockblock,"

You gave a chuckle and your friend rolled their eyes. Ayato leaned in a planted a kiss on your lips once more before he pulled back before smirking and quickly slipping the paper into the front of your bikini and you flushed brightly while your friend made gagging sounds.

"Bye, Ayato," You smiled shyly and as you turned your back to him to leave, you felt a small tap on your behind, and you looked over at him, wide-eyed.

"Later, Y/N," He just smirked and winked slyly.

Once you got back to the lockers and grabbed your stuff to get changed, you slowly opened the folded paper, and blushed slightly.

'If you want more mouth to mouth without having to drown, hit me up 😉 XX-XXX-XXX-XXX ~Ore-Sama (Ayato) ❤'
