You were embarrassed. You hadn't done anything stupid just yet, but stood all alone out the front of your night school, people glancing at you from the corner of their eyes and snickering as they walked away with their group. You huddled more into the jacket of the uniform and frantically scanned the crowds ahead of you.
You were waiting for a friend, your only friend, your best friend. He wasn't very popular, was quite quiet, but was tall and had a shock or cherry red hair. You noticed the occasional flash of blonde, or some unnatural colour amongst the sea of brown hues, but not a single red-head was in sight.
Until you took a few steps back and climbed the steps towards the doors, and scanned the crowd from your new vantage point. Some way off, in the thick of the crowd, was a shock of bright red hair.
You didn't question it as you launched yourself down the steps to avoid all the new eyes you had caught in your higher vantage point, and your propelled yourself through the crowd. You brushed against the wisps of uniform and nudged past the cold bodies, shivering in the wind. Your eyes were trained on the flash of red through the crowd, and as you finally had a clear passage, you broke into a sprint.
Only a few feet away from the redhead you noticed his rolled up trouser leg, wonky uniform and generally more dishevelled hair, and as you launched yourself into the air and projected yourself towards his back, you realized you had made a grave mistake.
This was not your best friend.
However, as you crashed into his back, you clung onto to him anyway, arms wrapping around his shoulders, legs clinging around his hips, and you snacked your head down against the nape of his neck, hanging your head in embarrassment, giving yourself a moment to pray that the floor would open up and swallow you whole, where you could escape to the dark depths and escape your embarrassment, which would surely span a lifetime.
"E-Eh!? What the hell?!" The boy cried and you quickly dropped yourself down, catching your balance, and taking a step away from him as he whipped around.
You were caught in his accusatory emerald glare and you felt yourself begin to tremble as his teeth bared and you dumbly came to the realization of who this was. Ayato Sakamaki. One of the most notorious vampire in the whole damn school. You'd be lucky to make it out of this alive.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, I thought you were someone else," You rushed out, bowing your head and letting your hair curtain your face, and you caught sight of his arms folding over his half-exposed chest, crossly.
The people around you had begun to snicker and whisper, a few daring to let their laughs echo through the air, for everyone to hear, and you felt the heat creeping up your neck and flushing your cheeks with embarrassment.
"You scared me is all," He rolled his eyes and your glanced up at the much kinder tone of voice, compared to the angered yell you had been expecting. He snatched your hand into his and gave a sharp tug, making you almost fall into him as he pulled you through the crowd, the eyes following you the whole way.
"W-Wait, stop!" You gasped, twisting your hand and trying to set yourself free without too much of a scene, though perhaps it was much too late. He ignored you, his hand gripping yours so tightly that it felt like your bones would crack under the pressure.
"Come on," He hissed, pulling you back towards the school and up the steps. You glanced back over your shoulder to see the eyes of the students following the two of you intently, before the double doors clanged closed and he pulled you through the halls. "Stop being so difficult, I was trying to help you,"
Once he found a suitably dark and isolated corridor, his hand snatched away from yours and gripped your shoulders just as tightly, and you were slammed back against the wall, and you gave a slight cry in pain.
"Now, tell me the truth, what really happened..." He said lowly, his emerald eyes seemingly inches from your own, his own face hovering with barely inches between you.
"H-Honestly, I thought you w-were (Friend's name), I'm r-really sorry," You mutter, your fingers dancing together nervously at your chest, but that seemed to annoy Ayato, and he snatched your hands up in his and pinned them against the wall either side of you, and you felt yourself flushing deeper.
"Then I guess you ought to be thankful Ore-Sama is kind enough to help you out, hm?" You breathed out a sigh of relief that he didn't seem to be quite the asshole people made him out to be. "But I guess that means you owe me,"
"I do?!" You blurted out. This was a vampire, you had no idea what he could be capable of.
"What do you have to offer Ore-Sama?" He asked, his face pulling into a wicked grin.
"I-I d-don't know-" You stammered out, your gut dropping in worry, what did this guy expect from you?
"Then I guess you'll just have to give Ore-Sama your body,"
"I-I don't know about that-" You tried to combat, but before you could say a word more, his lips found yours in a rough kiss, which he seemed to be enjoying, very much so. His fingers dug into your wrists as he forced the kiss deeper, tangling his tongue around yours in the hot kiss.
After a moment he pulled away, leaving you panting and breathless from your steamy first kiss, but it seemed he wasn't done with you yet, as his lips danced down your neck, and you got the first inklings of what may befall you. You felt his teeth graze your soft flesh, and expected the sharp jab where they would spit the skin, but none ever came.
He sucked down on your unbroken skin, and after a few long moments and a quiet sigh had escaped you, Ayato pulled away, leaving a deep purple bruise in the form of a hickey, before leaning in to your ear, his breath tickling against your neck.
"I've claimed you now, Y/N," He said with a grin into your neck. "You're mine,"
