AKIRA'S POV

I was on my way to check up on Christa but then I saw Subaru sitting next to Kura while holding her hand while Kura was resting on the couch. I walked over to Ayame and I said,"How is she doing?"

"I can tell you this much, Kura has definitely exhausted herself from using the flash-step it might be awhile before she can wake up." Ayame explained with a worried look. I said,"I see, I take it Subaru has been staying by her side?"

"Yeah, I tried to telling him to get some rest but he refuses to leave Kura's side." Ayame said. I was a bit surprised and I said,"Oh yeah?"

I looked over at him and Kura and I said,"Tell me something, do those two have feelings for each other?"

"Well, I can see that Subaru likes Kura and Kura likes Subaru as well but not as friend but those two are too stubborn to even admit they're actually in love." Ayame said in a teasig tone. I said,"Hehe, where have I heard that before?"

Ayame looked at me confused and I said,"Ruki and I were like that from before as well, Yuma, Kou and Azusa kept asking us if we had feelings for each other but we used to tell them that we don't but then eventually we fell in love."

"I see, so you can understand from their point of view huh?" Ayame said. I nodded my head and said,"Something like that."

Ayame smiled a little and then she looked back at Subaru and Kura. I said,"Look why don't you go and find something to do if Subaru needs you he'll let you know."

"All right, thanks Akira you know you're not so bad I was half expecting you to be like the Sakamakis and the Mukamis I guess I was wrong there, see you." Ayame said as she waved goodbye and then she left.

I looked back at Subaru and Kura one last time and I then left them alone.

KURA'S POV

I felt my consciousness coming back to me and I slowly opened my eyes. Everything was blurry at first but when my eyesight returned to normal there was an unfamiliar ceiling. I felt someone holding my hand and when I looked to my side, Subaru was holding onto my hand like he was waiting for me to wake up this whole time. I said,"Suabru?"

Subaru raised his head and when he saw me awake he said,"Kura, thank goodness you're awake at last!" Subaru suddenly hugged me tightly. I was still feeling a bit weak so I couldn't move my arms properly yet so I buried my face in his shoulder instead.

Subaru released me and then he laid me back down on the couch. Subaru then said,"You...YOU IDIOT!!" I was shocked by his outburst and he then said,"What were you thinking?! Going to the Tsukinami manor by yourself!! You could have been killed!!"

"Subaru...I'm sorry I-" He then said,"Sorry doesn't make it any better!! You had me worried sick I wasn't sure if you were going to wake up again!!"

I could see the look of anger and despair in his eyes. I could tell right away that I was the cause of his anger. I felt really sad that I made him like this and I looked away from him and said,"Subaru...I'm really sorry...I didn't mean for this to happen.."

I covered my eyes with the back of my hand to hide the tears in the corner of my eyes. I said,"I'm so stubborn that I refused to let someone help me because I..I thought I could handle it on my own... But I was wrong..now look at the state I'm in and I caused you and the others so much worry as well..."

I gritted my teeth as I couldn't hold back my tears anymore. I felt Subaru pull my hand away from my eyes and then he wiped away the tear on my cheek with his thumb. Subaru then pulled me back into a hug and he said,"It's alright, no one expected you to come back exhausted like that we were worried about you that's all."

"Subaru..." I whispered as I gripped tightly on the sleeve of his jacket.

Subaru rocked me back and forth to calm me down. Subaru pulled away and then he said,"Don't be sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you like that I was worried about you."

He said as he stroked my cheek and then he started to lean closer to my lips like before. I did the same we both wanted this and we were hoping that no one will interrupt us. Ayame said,"Hey Suabru!"

We both jumped in surprised as we heard Ayame's voice so I quickly laid back down on the couch and Suabru was back to sitting on the couch like nothing happened. Ayame came in and she saw me awake and said,"Kura, finally you're awake you had us all worried."

"Sorry, but Subaru told me he has been here with me the whole time." I said. Ayame shook her head and said,"I know he has I tried to tell him to take some rest but he refused to leave your side." Subaru blushed and I giggled a little. Ayame said,"Well, since you're awake I'll go and make you something to eat."

"NO!! I just woke up from exhaustion the last thing I'll be needing is your food poisoning!!" I shouted. Ayame pouted and said,"Hey! That's mean Kura!!"

Just then someone said,"I figured you were going to wake up sooner or later." We looked over to the door frame and Ruki had some food on the tray. He said,"I knew you woud be hungry after waking up you've been out of it for at least a few hours."

"I was? oh man I really must have made you guys worry about me big time." I said as I placed my hand on my forehead.
"Yes you did." Ruki said as he sat the tray on my lap and then Subaru said,"Speaking of which, Ayame tried to make some of those cookies but she ended up burning them to a crisp you weren't joking when you said her food poisonous."

"Subaru not you too!!" Ayame shoued. I giggled,"Hehe."

I giggled as I ate some of the food that Ruki gave me. Ayame pouted and then she left in a huff Subaru said,"What did I say?"

"Nothing, Ayame sometimes gets like that whenever someone talks bad about her cooking which is true." I said as I ate more of the food. Subaru understood this and said,"Oh."

Ruki face palmed and said,"Kura how you were able to put with her is beyond me, Ayame kept pestering me to help out with the cooking but after learning about her bad cooking from Subaru I refused to let cook since then."

"Good and it better stay that way, trust me the last time when she cooked for me and the other hunters, five of us and including myself ended up with bad stomach aches for a week."I said I grimaced at that memory.

"Pfft!" Subaru covered his mouth from laughing. Ruki did the same and said,"Did that seriously happen?"

"Yeah believe me Sai was furious with her that he banned Ayame from the kitchen in the dorms and in the guild hall too." I said as I face palmed.

"So you're from one of those small groups of vampire hunters aren't you?" A familiar voice said. Akira was standing at the door frame and I said,"Akira?"

"Yo." She casually said as she walked towards us. Akira then said,"Boys, do you mind if you leave us ladies alone."

"All right then." Ruki sais. Subaru also said,"Fine."

The boys left and then Akira sat down on the couch and said,"I gotta admit, you fought really hard out there I didn't expect someone like you to stand up to those founders."

"Really? Thank you but I'm not as strong as you though Akira." I sais as I looked away feom her sadly. Akira then sais,"You don't have to be, you're strong already but Ayame told me about how you're able to use the flash-step technique."

"Yeah, I don't think I'll be able to hear the end of Ayame's scolding the next time I see her." I said. Akira then said,"Hehe, I know, when you were knocked out from exhaustion Ayame wouldn't stop talking about you she's more like a sister never mind a best friend."

"I know that's what some people say about us." I said. Akira smiled and said,"It's like with me and Falis as well we're inseparable."

"Really?" I asked her and she then says,"Listen I didn't come here to talk about our best friends I came to talk about how you fought against those founders."

"Oh?" I askes her. She then said,"Yuma, Subaru and Yui told me about what happened and how much you've used the flash-step, you do know that it has it's limits?"

"Yes I do but before I went to the Sakamaki manor I've been practising non-stop before going on jobs I thought I've master the technique already but there was some moments when I collapse from exhaustion." I explained to her. She then said,"That's because it'll be some time before you can master it completely."

"What do you mean?" I asked her. Akira smirks and says,"I mean it might take about three or four years to get the hang of it but with my help you might be able to master it within the week."

"Really?!" I asked her in surprised tone. She said,"Yes, I too also use some speed techniques in fact I use my teleportation powers to increase my speed."

"Thanks Akira." I said. Akira then says,"You're welcome but for now get some rest you deserve it besides it might be awhile before those founders come here to attack us."

"All right and thanks Akira." I said as Akira took the tray and I laid back down on the couch. I put my hand behind my head and I thought to myself,"Akira..she's somehow a bit like me I can see why she wants to teach me.."

I thought that as I smiled to myself and I closed my eyes and fell back asleep.
