AYAME'S POV

It has been a few weeks since Kura left for that job I've been missing her a lot, it's too quiet around here without having her around. I was loading my magazines for my anti-guns and then Sai came over and said,"Hey ayame."

"Hi Sai, what's up?"I asked him. Sai looked a bit worried and he said,"Listen I just received word from Kura apparently she got captured while trying to rescue a friend by some vampires who call themselves the Mukami brothers."

"Mukami? I think I've heard of them at some point, geez how Kura got captured by them is beyond me and I'm guessing you want me to go over there and assist her?" I said with a confident smile. Sai then said,"Exactly and once you've helped her I also need you to help Kura to deal with the founders I have a feeling they'll be making their move when the lunar eclipse arrives."

"OK, but if I do does that mean I'll have to enrol in that night school as well?" I said. Sai then says,"You've got no choice in the matter, just try not to get yourself into trouble."

"Roger boss." I said happily.

After I headed back to the dorms I got two of my hand guns and I put them in my holsters and I got my musket and I put it behind my back. I placed the rest of my ammo in my suitcase along with my clothes and the rest of my weapons. As I was about to leave the dorm mother said,"Miss Kurosaki, are you away on a job?"

"Something like that, Sai sent me to go and help Kura on her job I'm not sure when I'll be back though." I explained to her. The dorm mother says,"All right, I'll hold of some of your rent and Kura's rent for the time being."

"Thanks ma'm." I said with a smile and she says,"Well, good luck and say hi to Kura for me."

"Will do, see ya." I said as I waved good bye to her. Before I left in the Taxi Sai came over and said,"Listen Ayame, you've got to be careful around those Sakamaki brothers and don't put a bullet in their brains you know our vow."

"I do, don't worry as long as I have Kura by my side I'll be fine." I said with a closed eye smile.

MEANWHILE...

KURA'S POV

"GOD DAMMIT KOU!! GET OUTTA HERE!!" I shouted as I kicked Kou on his back sending him flying out of my bedroom. Kou sat up and he rubbed his behind and said,"Hey! That hurt!!" I stood my foot on Kou's head and said,"You are such an idiot!! That's the third time that you've tried to suck my blood and so far this is the fourth attempt and you still get a beating!"

"Owie!! Ow!! Ow!! All right!! I'm sorry!! Please don't damage my face!!" Kou said as I kept my foot on top of his head. I grabbed him by the collar and I shouted in his face,"If you make one last attempted to suck my blood I swear I'll use my silver sword to slice that pretty head of yours off that body!"

"OK! No need to get violent!" Kou said as he raised his hands as a sign surrender. I released him and then he made a ran for it. I sighed and then Yuma showed up and said,"Temper, temper."

"Oh shut up! I'm gonna do the same to you if you don't watch it!!" I shouted in frustration. Yuma then says,"Whoa OK! No need to get snappy."

I grumbled and I walked away from him. I sat on the railing of the balcony and I thought to myself,"Yui and I have been here for about a few days now and so far none of the Mukami brothers seemed to have changed from drinking her blood but since that happened some of the Mukamki brothers have been coming after me like what happened with Kou just now and not only that Ruki has been acting a bit distant it's almost as if he's found out something bad, still I hope he's OK, he's refused to come out of his room for a while now too."

I went into my bedroom and I got my silver sword and I put it on my waist including my knife. I got my hand gun and I placed a few silver bullets in the magazine and loaded it. I put the hand gun in the holster that's behind my back and I walked through the hallways and I thought to myself,"If I had to guess, I'll bet Ruki has figured that he and his brothers can't become Adam."

Suddenly I saw Ruki dragging Yui somewhere by the wrist and then his brothers followed him. I quietly followed them and I was in some kind of dungeon. I hid behind a wall and then Yuma, Kou and Azusa tried to reason with him but he ignored them as he walked by. I folded my arms and when I saw Yuma I said,"I had a feeling something was wrong with him, are sure you want to leave it like that?"

Yuma turned to look at me and said,"We would if we could, but..." Yuma looked troubled and then Kou said,"We don't know what's wrong with him, you think you could talk to him?"

"What can I do? If Ruki won't talk to you three I don't see how much it will make a difference if I tried to talk him." I said. Kou then said,"Good point, neko-chan, well let's go." The brothers walked away and I headed to the room where Yui was being kept. I looked at her and said,"Yui! Are you all right?"

"Kura..chan..." She said and looked at me weakly. I looked at her worryingly and I said,"Oh man, you look so weak those brothers must have sucked too much of your blood over the last few days, hang on I'll get you out of there in a second." I got my knife and I got my hair clip and I picked the lock. I managed to unlock the door and immediately I rushed in and I helped Yui on her feet. I said,"Can you walk?"

"I don't..think so.." Yui said as I tried to help her stand. I said,"All right that does it, we're getting out of here and this time we're not going to get captured the second time." I said as I crouched down and then Yui got onto my back and I ran out of the dungeon. Once we were in the hallway Yui whispered,"You're not going to go through the entryway again are you?"

"No, last time that plan back fired, I'm taking a short cut this time." I said as I walked over to the glass doors and I kicked them opened. Once they were opened I ran out to the balcony and I looked around and said,"All right the cost is clear."

"What are you going to do? If you jump it's suicide."Yui said weakly. I looked over my shoulder and said to her,"Don't worry, they don't call me the flash-step huntress for nothing, hang on, I'm going to jump and when I do I'm going to use my flash-step and then I'm gonna go really fast so I need you to try and hold on tight to me."

"OK, I believe in you, Kura-chan." Yui said as she held onto me tighter. I stepped onto the railing and just when I was about to jump I heard someone say,"Hold it! What do you think you're doing?!" I turned around and so did Yui. Ruki was standing there and I said,"Don't try and stop me Ruki! I now know what's wrong with you, you and your brothers can't turn into Adam can you?"

".....You're right." Ruki said. Yui looked a bit confused and she said,"What? Why can't they, Kura-chan?" I looked back at Yui and said,"You mean you haven't noticed? Ruki and his brothers maybe vampires but they're not pure-bloods, they were originally human but for some reason they were able to turn into vampires." I explained. Ruki looked shocked that I learnt this and he said,"How did you-?"

"I'm a hunter remember? it's not that hard to tell, I can smell it from you and your brothers." I said. Ruki looked down and said,"I see."

"Since you've found this out you decided to punish Yui by locking her up like that, how selfish can you get?" I said in a harsh tone.

"Kura, listen to me, I-" I interrupted him saying,"I will not listen to you! Yui and I are leaving this mansion." I said as I got closer to the edge.

"What's going on!?" We heard Yuma's voice. I said,"Sorry Ruki, but we're out of here! Feel free to chase me, that is if you can keep up!" I smirked and I leaped off the railing and I landed on a branch of a tree and I used my flash-step.

RUKI'S POV

After Kura jumped off the railing I ran over to where she jumped. I saw Kura land on a branch and then she used her flash-step and then she vanished. Kou and Yuma ran over and Kou said,"They're gone?! Boy she's fast."

"No joke, but, Ruki why did you let her go?" I turned away from him. Yuma grabbed me by the collar and then Yuma shouted,"Why did you let her take Yui back to them?!" I stayed silent and then he released me and I walked back to my room.

KURA'S POV

After I used my flash-step to get away from the Mansion I came to halt. I panted heavily and Yui said,"Kura-chan, are you all right?" I said in between my panting breaths,"*Pant, pant, pant* I'll be fine, it's been a while since I've used the flash-step for that long *Pant, pant* I must be out of shape." Yui said,"No you're not, you're strong but you've got some weakness within you."

"Hehe..*Pant, pant* you could be right, come on let's get going we shouldn't be too far from the Sakamaki Mansion." I said as I was able to sit Yui back onto my back properly so that I can start walking so that she doesn't fall off. Yui then says to me,"Sorry about this."

"Will you stop apologising? It's fine, I don't mind." I said as I started to walk with Yui still on my back. After walking for awhile and then I saw a familiar face approaching us. I said,"Ayato!?" Ayato saw me and then he came over and said,"There you are, so pancake was at the Mukami mansion ad it seems you were there as well."

"Sorry about that, I couldn't leave Yui behind so I had to stay behind and make sure she's safe."I explained to him and Ayato then says,"And now you've taken that opportunity to escape from them."

"Yeah, but Yui is suffering from anaemia right now, think you can teleport us back to the Mansion?" I asked him. Ayato smirked and said,"Not a problem." Ayato wrapped his arms around us and then we were back at the Mansion. I crouch down and then Yui said,"We're...back.."

Yui suddenly fainted and I said,"Yui!" Ayato notices this and says,"Seems like Pancake has fainted from blood loss." I looked at Ayato and said,"Whatever, I'm gonna go and take her back to her room to rest up and I'll explain everything to Reji about what happened."

"Right, oh and by the way, someone is here to see you."Ayato said.  I was confused at this and I said,"Who?" Ayato shrugs his shoulders and says, "I don't know she claims she's a friend of yours, Reji is keeping an eye on her as we speak." I nodded my head and said,"All right, do me a favour and tell Reji I won't belong."

"Right." Ayato says as he heads to the living room while I carried Yui back to her bedroom. After I helped Yui change into her night gown and I tucked her in bed I headed back down stairs. I got to the living room and when Reji saw me he said,"Oh, you're finally back, Kura."

"Sorry I took so long, any way, Ayato tells me that someone is here to see me?"I asked him. Reji nods his head and says,"Yes, in fact she's actually a guest she's a hunter like you." Reji said as he pointed at the guest and I recognised her straight away. I said,"Ayame?!"

Ayame looked at me and said,"Kura!!" Ayame squealed in excitement and then she flung her arms around me and the she rubbed her cheek on mine. She said,"Kura!! Yay!! Thank goodness you're all right!! I was so worried about you!!"

I said,"It's good to see you too! But can you let go of me before you squeeze me to death!"I said as I was losing air and when Ayame saw this she says,"Whoops sorry." Ayame says as she releases me from her tight hug. I managed to get my breath back and Ayame said,"Hold on, I thought you were supposed to captured by those Muakmi brothers."

"I was but Yui and I managed to get away from them and ended up back here." I said as I rubbed my throat. Ayame smiles and says,"I see, well I'm glad you got here safe and sound."

"Yeah whatever." I said and the Reji cleared his throat. We turned to look at him and he said,"I hate to cut this reunion short but we need to know about what happened with those Mukami brothers and why they kidnapped Yui."

"I can explain about that, Ruki said something about him and his brothers becoming Adam by using Yui's blood or Eve's blood whatever the heck he and his brothers call her every now and then." Ruki smirked and said,"Hmpf! Those Ex-humans, becoming Adam how stupid."

Ayame was confused and she said,"Adam? Eve? What's going on Kura?" I shrugged my shoulders and said to Ayame,"To be honest I have no idea why they want to become Adam, but if I had to guess those four have their own goals for becoming him." Ayame nods her head and said,"You could be right."

"You!" I turned around and Kanato glared at me angrily. I looked at him and said,"Kanato." Kanato glared at me and says,"How dare you and Yui-san come and go as you please! Did you think it was funny?!"

"Kanato! Calm down! It's not like that!" I said as I tried to calm him down. Just then someone said,"Oh yeah and what makes you say that?" I looked and Subaru looked a bit irritated. I said,"Subaru."

"Tch! Did you have fun with those punks?" Subaru said. I looked over at him and said,"Subaru, it wasn't like-" Suddenly Suabru punched the wall making Ayame flinch. He said,"Don't you dare lie to me!! Damn it! Now I'm ticked off!!"

"Will you guys stop it!! How many times!! Nothing happened with me OK!? Those Mukamis kept sucking Yui's blood and you think she enjoyed it?! How stupid can you get?!" I yelled angrily. Ayame says,"Yikes and here I thought you were the only one who was Tsundere, Kura."

"Shut up!!" I shouted making Ayame shiver in fear. I sighed and said,"Honestly some things never changed with you, you still like to make fun of me every now and then." Ayame hid behind Reji and said,"I wasn't making fun of you I was just making a compliment that's all."

"Really sounded like an insult to me, moran."I mumbled. When Ayame heard this she said,"What did you call me, you idiot!?" Ayame and I collided our foreheads and she said,"Who're calling an idiot you pathetic weakling!?"

"Who're you calling a weakling?! You jerkface!!" I shouted as I glared at her in the eyes. Ayame shouted,"Says the woman who got captured easily!!" We heard Laito say,"Whoohoo! Looks like things are about to get interesting now that we've got two hot looking hunters and there's a chance there might be a cat fight as well." We turned to him and we both said,"JUST SHUT UP YOU PERVERT!!"

Laito took a step back and Subaru said,"They maybe look nice to you Laito but I think they might be a bit more bad tempered than you may think."

"Aw come on Subaru, they're not that bad, if I'm lucky I might get my paws on one of them." Laito said. Ayame and I got behind him with a mad look in our eyes. When Subaru saw us he says,"Uh, Laito, look behind you." Laito turned to look at us and we glared at him angrily. Ayame and I looked at each other and we smiled at each other. We closed our fists and then we punch Laito in the face. Laito said,"Ow!! What...did I...say..?"

Ayame and I high fived and I wrapped my arm on Ayame's shoulder and she did the same. We walked out of the room and I said,"Anyway, Ayame spill the gossip to me how are things back at home?" Ayame smiles and says,"Well a lot of things have happened while you were gone...." Ayame explained to me about what has been happening back home.

SUBARU'S POV

After those two walked out of the room Reji said,"And suddenly they completely forgot about us." Laito rubbed his face and said,"Ow.. I thought Ayame was going to be a bit like Bitch-chan but after finding out she's a hunter like Kura that's a different story."

I said,"It serves you right for getting punched like that, you're a pervert when it comes to women." Laito frowned and shouted,"I am not!" I shouted,"Yes you are!" Shu said,"Well you've to admit the pair of them are feisty if does come to a fight we'd better stay out of it." Reji said,"Agreed."
