After many months of painful tests, my body has become mutilated. I look more bird than human, and I'm still a half blood. I'm growing tired.

Subaru visited again.

"Hey, I'm gonna get you out of this hell hole."

"Don't write things like that." He ran his hand through his hair. "The others want to help too. Just have faith in us."

私はまだ希望を失っていません。

"I'm glad." He sighed. "And I see Aiko's alright, so that's good news too. I've gotta go now. See you tonight."

"Hey-" Someone shook my shoulder. "Wake up, Bitch-kun." Ayato was shaking me, trying almost desperately to rouse me from my
test drug-enduced slumber. "Here..." he grabbed the buckle of my shock collar. Before I could protest, he had ripped it off and threw it into the wall. The evil leather device clattered to the floor in a sad heap. He grabbed the coat that Laito had given me and wrapped it around my shoulders. I stuffed the bandages and the notebook into the coat's pockets. He shook Poe awake and threw off the raven's collar in the same rough manner. I limped behind Ayato, wincing from the pain of my twisted legs. My foot caught on one of the rough cobbles and I fell, tweaking my already painfully twisted ankle in the process.
"C'mon!" Ayato groaned. Poe grabbed my hand and held it across his shoulders, efficiently helping me to my feet and allowing me to walk almost normally.

"Fuhu~ You're finally here." A door opened to a bright room, and cold hands seized my back and under my arms. I blinked, trying to see normally. I realized the room was Reiji's laboratory, and Reiji himself was tied up near the door. He was muttering insults under his breath as Kanato poked his cheek.
"Hey, Teddy." The violet child smiled and poked him again"This is what it looks like when Reiji's angry. It's fascinating, so have a good look." Reiji snarled. Poe set me down in a chair and smiled.
"I'm gonna go talk to the brothers. Give me a sec-" he padded off in the general direction of the vampires. I leaned back and closed my eyes.

~~~Poe POV

"Hey, uh-"

"Aiko, let me go." Reiji croaked

"What makes you think I'll do that?!" I kicked the helpless vampire "Fuck you." He coughed.

"Heh." I walked closer to Subaru

"What's up, Aiko?"

"It's about Liu." He glanced over at her broken body.

"What about her?"

"Is there any way you can spare a bed for her? She's throughly exhausted."

"Well, Shu and I refurnished her room into a recreational room before we knew where she was, so she can't go there. Laito, Shu, get over here." The lazy vampire teleported onto the couch behind us, and the pervert walked over slowly. "One of us has to spare our room for Liu-"

"I'll do it." Laito interrupted. Subaru looked like he was about to snap and punch the perverted redhead, but he quelled his rage.

"Is this okay with all of you?"

"No." Shu spoke up. "I'm a bit afraid of what he'd do if we allowed it. He already stuck his dick in her once. She'll sleep in my room." He stood and walked over to Liu. She opened her eye and looked up at him. In one swift motion, he scooped her up into his arms. It was clear she was shocked, and her face flushed bright red.

"Well, that's settled." Subaru looked at Laito, who was obviously disappointed with the decision, but silenced all notions of his disapproval. Shu nodded and began to walk away with Liu.

Shu stared at me sadly.

"I guess I'll apologize again." I forced myself to look away from him. "I had no idea Reiji would do this to you." His sapphire eyes teared up a little. "But it'll be okay. We'll find a way to fix this." He pushed the door down and set me on his bed. "Are you thirsty?" He smiled and sat beside me, rolling up his sleeve. He pulled me onto his lap and offered me his arm. I looked up at him and he gestured to his wrist.
"Go on."His skin was pristine and had no markings whatsoever. I lowered my face to his arm, his scent was irresistible. I opened my mouth and bit down gently. His blood exploded into my mouth in a burst of flavor. It was like drinking chocolate milk, but not quite. He was sweet and almost salty... a taste I couldn't quite place. We sat there for a bit before I finished up and pulled off his arm. I suddenly felt re-energized, and without thinking, I spoke

"Thanks, Shu." He looked at me, baffled. I was confused and surprised as well, but suddenly I felt everything begin to snap back into place. My ankles straightened, and I felt the clawed hand fall off. I looked at it as a little hand began to grow within the stub. Blood dribbled from my right eye socket, and as I blinked, I realized I could see from it again. "Huh. I had a feeling that would work."

"What would work?"

"Reiji starved you so much that your healing didn't work." He threw a bundle of clothes at me. "And unlike Laito, I have decency. Dress up." A loud thump sounded as the black wings fell from my back. Finally! Now I can lay on my back again! I stretched, and pulled off the coat. I put on my bra and pulled on my hoodie. I decided not to wear pants, since it was already evening, and I'd be going to bed soon. I slipped on my panties and turned around. Shu smiled and beckoned to me.
